I chose to come to the gles because I was came to work out how the government worked and to get the other side's perspective since joining the GLS I've realized that there are no such thing asides just different clients of different priorities doing a particular hearing one appointed law which had never been tested and which was then reported in the news my key moments in my GLS career so far has been when I visited my father the beneficiary of one of the Trust's we had missed and when I visited her she was seven years old and had defied all expectations really still to be alive and my role was to ascertain how best we could apply the funds to enhance their quality of life and do everything we could to help her and to help her adoptive parents and I found that very satisfying mainly realized rewarding I previously had done was how worthwhile the work we do is definitely negotiating regulations in Europe has been the most exciting part of my career so far working with lawyers at the European Commission it was really fascinating when I first joined the GLS within a couple of weeks I became part of a bill team and I actually had a responsibility for a small bill on my own and to do that bill from policy inception to Royal Assent within about fourteen weeks without any amendments in either house of parliament that I think was quite a key achievement the fact that I was able to open the newspaper one day and see a matter that I had been working on I find that exciting when I was actually dealing with some very difficult litigation and I've been doing I've been qualified for about six or seven months and I realized here's me who don't even qualify six months and I actually know more than probably anybody about this particular law and country one of my judicial review cases involved article 9 of the Bill of Rights 1689 in what other job would this ever become relevant and I thought this is what it's all about things of constitutional importance and getting involved in areas of law that you just can't do anywhere else
