How to eSign a document: Sign Real estate document electronically
Hi this is Paul Cheema, Sales Representative with RE/MAX Professionals Inc. Ontario Recently legalized use of electronic signatures for documents related to purchase and sale of real property This is a great thing. So..uh mm.. now,, aa as for any new technology it takes a lot of time for people to adapt to it.. so. uh. this video tutorial is an attempt to educate a common user in to understanding how they will be using electronic signatures at their end. So, uh..believe me this is going to be very easy I got one client sign a document yesterday which was a listing agreement and he was thrilled.. So here is what happens When your agent who you work with sends you a document, this is the email you are going to.. receive at your end. it is an encrypted email.. only you can open it up.. Some times agents will setup a passcode that you have to use in order to open the document So when you get this email and you will be hitting on this button called 'View documents' When you click on the button called 'view documents' this is what you are going to see. So, if, when you look at this window here you will see this says ' please review and act on the document' and the Sender's name is here you can see his picture it is an authentic email and the first thing it is going to ask you click on 'I agree to use electronic... ... records and signatures. So if you want to learn more about it click here and you will be taken to this disclosure statement If you think you are good with it then so then you are going to click here I agree to use the electronic records and signatures Once you have done that then you click on the 'continue'.. you see the document is faded out at the moment. so you will hit continue here. There are two 'other actions' you want to have a look. It is 'Finish Later' , 'Print and Sign, you can print a copy of that or 'Decline to sign' if something changes and you don't want to sign it. or you do not see anything which you agreed upon and the document states otherwise you are not comfortable with it you can just decline to sign So when you say, 'finish later', it will prompt you later and print and sign, just print and sign as any paper document. so, so now, let's use this continue option So the first thing that you are seeing is that this is going to ask you if you.. the software wants to know your location So saying 'allow' will register your location in its coded sequence and if you do not allow it well, it might not record the place. uh.. sorry, record the location. So it is a good idea to allow so that you know it is your authentic document....
