BTech Tech award in enterprise component three business documents we've already looked at the purchase order so the next document we're going to look at is a delivery note now the purpose of this is to list all the goods included in and delivery so the customer can check them that they've received them all pretty straightforward as before it's really important that all of the delivery note is completed accurately I'm just going to show you what goes on a delivery note and how you fill one in this is what a delivery note looks like you'll notice at the top it has a title on it so everyone knows it's a delivery note again it must have the date on it so we know what day the deliveries on it needs the name and the address the business that has sent the order so we know where it's come from it needs the name and the address of the business of which the order is being sent to you need to have the customer order number on so they know which delivery corresponds to which order that's really important and then we have list of everything that's included and delivery what the item is it's product code so we can truly identify it and the quantity that is being delivered now you don't include the price on a delivery note because imagine it was a gift you wouldn't want people to know that the price of it or if we've to live ordered from one business and we're selling it on to someone else that is touching it we don't know we don't want to know how much you're paid because we want to make a profit so the delivery might not have all the items that are on the purchase order they might be coming in a few different deliveries so that's why it's really important to look carefully at the description and the customer order number at the bottom the person who receives the order must check that they have the right items and they are in the correct condition so you'd open box double check the items listed are the ones we have in the right numbers and then because this is a document which will prove delivery's been made they must sign their signature dates with the data arrives on and print name so we can see it all the business we'll keep a copy of the delivery note themselves and a copy of it will be given to the driver so that can go back to the original business so that is a delivery
