today I'm going to show you how exactly to turn this spreadsheet into something you can sell online on Etsy so what you want to do is create a template but you want people to have the link and not specifically to have access to change the master version so here I've created a template with an instruction sheet that I highly recommend that you begin the template with including some thank yous FAQs and how to contact you for any issues next thing you want to do is share and make it to anyone with the link and then to copy the link as a viewer very important as a viewer from here you're going to copy this link and then paste it somewhere and turn the end where it says edit into just the word copy so that a copy is created and again the master version is not changed now that you have this you're going to copy this all again with the updated link including the word copy in it saying copy lots of times here just to make sure that you know where you can add it into your word document so here you're going to rightclick exactly where you want it to go and add in the link that you've just made into it so that you can have your template link here I'm just testing it out here to see that you're definitely creating a copy and that this word hello here that I'm putting in is not in fact impacting the master version that I've created so I'm just going to pop back into it and save it here as a PDF which is very important because we want people to be able to download this right off of etsy and it looks really nice you can add logos I'm just checking it again that it's still working here again with the word copy and we can see the word hello is not there indicating that it is in fact a true copy and we are not editing the master version again very important so now when we go into Etsy we add a new product by adding it as a digital file that I did in fact make it whether it's a finished product or a supply that is used to make things potentially when it was made I made it today so I'm putting this date frame if there are any production partners and then everything based off of your regular listing so you'll include your title you'll add different photos that you can make from mockups based on canva add the digital file PDF that you've just made over here so that by ERS download these files as soon as they make their purchase and it is readily available in this digital file here leading them right into creating a copy a very detailed description explaining that it's also a digital file and you can come down here again and see it is a digital file it's handmade the details that we added in earlier we can add in the tags we can add any materials if that was applicable to what you created and it's very important here that having a digital item is not eligible for returns or exchanges and it's automatically on there as a feature so you can also go back up to the description section and again reiterate what it is that you're selling and that it is therefore not in fact eligible for any returns you can also add how to contact you again if there's an issue so that you can help anyone that has any issues how to contact you if there are any problems and then at the bottom here you choose your renewal options and hit publish and you're done
