Why do Indian women avoid responding to messages from Indian men? Why are Indian men MORE likely to respond to messages from Ind
Why do Indian women avoid responding to messages from Indian men? I was going through the answers and very sadly I agreed with a lot of points which are mentioned. I do have an experience I would like to share. About 6 months back, I had an idea for an app, which I and a friend, with whom I discussed it, thought was pretty cool. After a few days of day-dreaming, we decided to get serious about it. Having no clue whatsoever of where to start, I got to the Google Play store, to search whether similar apps exist or not. Luckily there were none. I was excited. To further streamline the idea for my app, I decided to do some market research. The plan was ...

Can I get a pro-gun conservative's sincere views on how to stop school shootings in the US? Can it really be done without introd
Yes school shootings are already illegal, no new law will change that. It is illegal to murder. It's illegal to take guns to school. Most of these shooting have been in cities where it's illegal to discharge a firearm. In many cases the kids were in illegal possession of the guns. The guy in Sandy Hook killed his mom to get her guns. Most states have laws that require guns to be locked, when stored in homes of minors. One of the guys had previously committed a felony but was not prosocuted. Most of them concealed weapons without permits. Even waving a gun around making threats is illegal. S...

How can I convince my parents to get me GTA 5 for my birthday?
I actually commend your parents for this once (assuming you will not be turning 17 or older on your birthday). There are a lot of things in games that kids just don’t get and it’s not a matter of distinguishing fantasy vs. reality (in fact in my book that is the lowest of the lowest reason to argue to get a game). Most of which is complex plot dynamics, character dynamics, social constructs, social satire, etc. These are generally lost on children who play/want games “because they’re the popular games” (Call of Duty and Assassins Creed fall in this range too). Now back to your parents.I bet your parents don’t play video games and they probably don’t have the same “is this ok for my child” criteria that I do. In fact, if they don’t play games there is only one criteria they can go to to make a decision of whether a game is appropriate for their child and that’s the ESRB rating. So what do you’re parents see? (Actual ESRB rating for GTA V)Ok so let’s break this down. You can distinguish between fantasy and reality. I’m sure your parents agree. That means we can get rid of…Blood and GoreIntense ViolenceUse of Drugs and Alcohol (assuming you are also a responsible kid)Which leaves us with…Strong Language: maybe your parents don’t want you to say F-bombs, probably not but still a thing.Mature Humor: This goes with the Social construct thing I was saying, will you comprehend the humor or think it’s merely discussion. This can lead to some of the rampant sexism associated with video games and male gamers in particular.Nudity: Is this porn? A strong argument can be made for this one especially when combined with…Strong Sexual Content: Are you sure this isn’t porn?If your parents don’t know what’s in the game then this is what they have to go off of. Your parents are doing their job.If playing GTA V is really super important to you (which I’m guessing it’s not as no game is really that important) all I can suggest you do is ask your parents to buy the game for themselves, play through it themselves, and then determine if they still think it’s not appropriate for you.EDIT:I suppose I should add this before some comments come rolling in. I know GTA V isn’t video game porn. The point I was making is that if your parents are unfamiliar with video games they might think that when they see that on the ESRB rating on the game packaging.

What is it like to intern at Amazon India?
I interned at Amazon India, at chennai as an application engineer intern. It was a 8 months long internship, from September 2017 to may 2018.I had been selected through campus recruitment, after several rounds of interviews. It was an amazing experience! I was working under a research scientist, who had a phd from the Massachusetts Institute of technology. She was very nice to me, teaching me every small details of what it takes to work at big companies. She understood that my college did not equip me with certain skills and taught me things like sending emails and communication. After my internship i had learnt how to approach a particular problem. I had learnt how people look and analyze the problem and look for solutions. I think that is one of the most important thing a fresh college graduate would have to know. I now have a direction on what to do in order to grow in my career. My manager took a lot of interest in my growth and managed me very well. Any time i was struck she would help me solve my problem amd get the work done. She would teach me how she would have done that task and make me think in way i get to the solution. She always assigned me tasks that were manageable for me and saw that i was able to solve the problem. She has spent a lot Time explaining things and answering all my questions. She patiently cleared all my doubts and explained anything i asked her. It was very nice that she spent so much time with me inspute of her busy schedule. One of the most interesting part of the internship is meetings with high profile people at amazon. I was able to attend meetings with AVPs who shared their views and talked about the future of our products. I attended meetings with Mr. Narsi Narasiman one of the first engineers of kindle..Amazon the company itself looks after its employees amd helps them to grow in their careers. All of us have a mentor who would advise us trends in the industry. They would tell us what has to be done, to be able to climb the career ladder. The work timings were lenient and there was wasn't a strict timing. I had to work about 40 hrs a week to achieve my targets. I got to learn a lot of things and my manager always empathized on learning during the internship. She was very helpful in helping me learn and improve. The office had good recreational facilities with table tennis, snooker and fooz ball in the playing area. These are some of the photos of my office.Overall it was a very enjoyable experience. I am very glad that i have learnt a lot from the internship. I am very thankful for my manager who guided me through out the internship.Adding this answer for people who want to know how to apply for amazon :Sailesh Morkonda's answer to How can a CSE fourth year student apply for Amazon? And this answer.Sailesh Morkonda's answer to What should you know before your Amazon internship starts?

Who was the greater warrior in Mahabharat, Karna or Bhishma Pitamah?
Karna’s achievements were better than Bhishma and Drona. Please refer Karna Parva book. Also, even when Arjuna didn’t attack Bhishma furiously, Bhishma could not cause much damage do Pandavas. Bhisma had no clue to counter Arjuna’s Aindra weapon. Karna clearly countered Aindra and other astras of Arjuna.1) Section 90 of Karna Parva:"Then Karna, with a number of whetted shafts endued with great energy, cut off the string of Arjuna's bow. Similarly he cut off the second string, and then the third, and then the fourth, and then the fifth. The sixth also was cut off by Vrisha, and then the seventh, then the eighth, then the ninth, then the tenth, and then at last the eleventh."KARNA CUTTING OFF ARJUNA'S GANDIVA STRINGS 11 TIMES CONSECUTIVELY. This was a feat which none had achieved. Neither Bhishma nor Drona.2) Section 146 of Drona Parva, Krishna says "For the present, O Partha, it is not proper for thee to fight with Karna. The latter hath with him the blazing dart, like a fierce meteor, that Vasava gave him. O slayer of hostile heroes,he hath kept it for thy sake, worshipping it with reverence." (Fine, that was a normal situation, Krishna stopped Arjuna to fight, that's fine)But again, in Section 173 of Drona Parva,Krishna says "I do not, however, O sinless one, regard the time to have come, O mighty-armed one,for thee to encounter the Suta's son in battle. The blazing dart, resembling a mighty meteor, given himby Vasava, is still with him, O thou of mighty arms, kept for thee with care,by the Suta's son. He keepeth that dart by him, and hath now assumed a terribleform."(This was unacceptable since Karna was smashing away everyone and Yudhishthira was panicking)3) Section 182 of Drona Parva,When Dhritarashtra (enquiring Sanjaya) and Satyaki (enquiring Krishna) regarding - Despite every night Karna and Kauravas discussed the usage of Indra’s dart (which Karna had for the sole purpose of killing Arjuna), why he did not use it against Arjuna during the brief encounters they faced in the 6 days, for which Krishna says“'Karna having assented to this, saying 'So be it' (the desire of) slaughtering the wielder of Gandiva, O bull amongst the Sinis, was ever present in Karna's heart. “””I, however, O foremost of warriors, always used to stupefy the son of Radha”””. It was for this that he did not hurl the dart at Pandu's son, owning white steeds.”Thus, Krishna not only prevented Arjuna from facing Karna, Krishna created illusions on all the 6 days on everyone of Kuru army (especially Karna) to forget the usage of Indra’s dart. (Despite every night Karna and others debated to use it on Arjuna, they still forgot due to Krishna.4) Section 180 of Drona Parva,Krishna says “When his car-wheels will sink in the earth, availing thyself of that opportunity, thou shouldst slay him in that distressful situation. I will make thee a sign beforehand. Warned by it, thou shouldst act. The vanquisher of Vala himself, that foremost of heroes, wielding his thunder, is incapable of slaying the invincible Karna while the latter stands weapon in hand.”Krishna knew that Arjuna could never defeat Karna in a fair fight in the Kurukshetra War and had already given the hint to Arjuna that that was the only way Arjuna could ever defeat Karna as per the above point.5) Section 124 of Bhishma Parva,Bhishma said this when Karna met him with tears, “I know thy prowess in battle, which can with difficulty be borne on earth by foes! I know also thy regard for Brahmanas. thy courage, and thy great attachment to alms-giving! O thou that resemblest a very god, amongst men thereis none like thee! For fear of intestine dissensions I always spoke harsh words about thee. In bowmanship, in aiming weapon, in lightness of hand and in strength of weapons, thou art equal to Phalguni (Arjuna) himself, or the high-souled Krishna! O Karna, proceeding to the city of Kasi, alone with thy bow, thou hadst crushed the kings in battle for procuring a bride for the Kuru king! The mighty and invincible king Jarasandha also, ever boastful of his prowess inbattle, could not become thy match in fight! Thou art devoted to Brahmanas; thou always fightest fairly! In energy and strength, thou art equal to a child of the celestials and certainly much superior to men. The wrath I cherished against thee is gone.”A proof that Karna helped Duryodhana in marrying Banumathi by fighting with other kings which included Jarasandha too and Karna defeated everyone - for Duryodhana.6) Section 252 and Section 253 of book 3,Again, for Duryodhana, Karna conquered the entire India, conducted Vaishnava sacrifice and made Duryodhana the emperor!7) 5th and 6th points clearly establish that Karna cared for Duryodhana and it was not just about killing Arjuna. We never went to their palace and witnessed how they cared for each other. It is ridiculous to say that both maintained their friendship forindividual aspiration or mutual ambition or something. As per Section 92 of Karna Parva, Duryodhana wept badly, lost senses when Karna died. (There are also a lot of instances in Karna Parva when Karna gave priority for Duryodhana rather than his personal fight / rivalries with the enemies)8) Section 180 of Drona Parva, Krishna says“Devoted to Brahmanas, truthful in speech, engaged in penances, observant of vows, kind even unto foes, for these reasons Karna is called Vrisha.”9) Section 49 of Karna Parva,“Then Salya addressed him, and said, “Do not, O Karna, seize this best of kings. As soon as thou seizes him, he will reduce both thee and me to ashes.”The reason why Karna did not seize Yudhishtira.(In the same parva, before this section, you can find that Duryodhana wanted either Yudhisthira seized or Arjuna slain (Section 36 of Karna Parva). I am not able to find in which Parva I read that Yudhisthira should not be killed since if that happened, Arjuna would destroy everyone in anger – told by Duryodhana.)10) Section 66 of Karna Parva,Yudhisthira told that he never had a wink of sleep for 13 years due to fear of Karna.I don’t have patience to search in which parva it is mentioned that Yudhisthira feared Karna more than Bhishma and Drona. But section 66 of Karna Parva proves it.11) Section 3 of Santi Parva,"Unto the cheerless and trembling Karna, prostrated with joined hands upon earth, that foremost one of Bhrigu's race, smiling though filled with wrath, answered, 'Since thou hast, from avarice of weapons, behaved here with falsehood, therefore, O wretch, this Brahma weapon shalt not dwell in thy remembrance 1. Since thou art not a Brahmana, truly this Brahma weapon shall not, up to the time of thy death, dwell in thee when thous halt be engaged with a warrior equal to thyself! 2 Go hence, this is no place for a person of such false behaviour as thou! On earth, no Kshatriya will bethy equal in battle.' Thus addressed by Rama, Karna came away, having duty taken his leave."Thus, from the above, you can observe that Parashuram told Karna in a gentle way that his Brahmastra alone would be forgotten when he faced a "warrior equal to his prowess" and also said "On earth,no Kshatriya will be thy equal in battle". Despite cursing, he counterpraised Karna.12) Section 90 of Karna Parva,“when the hour of Karna’s death came, the high Brahma weapon that the illustrious Bhargava had imparted unto him, escaped from his memory”In the same section 90, if you read further, you canfind the statement as below“Trembling at the shock, Karna then displayed his activity to the utmost of his power. Steadying himself by a powerful effort he invoked the Brahma weapon”Thus, Karna used Brahmastra despite forgetting. Becauseof Parashuram’s counter praising that no Kshatriya would be Karna’s equal.PS: He used it thrice against Arjuna (Section 89, Section 90 after forgetting for a moment, and again in Section 91) Thus, Karna made the praise of his Guru truthful by invoking Brahmastra 3 times and proved his Guru’s fact that that Karna was a better warrior than Arjuna, if they were by any means equal, Karna could have never used Brahmastra even once!13) Section 46 of Drona Parva,"The preceptor then, slowly and with a smile, said unto Karna, 'Abhimanyu is young, his prowess is great. His coat of mail is impenetrable. This one's father had been taught by me the method of wearing defensive armour. This subjugator of hostile towns assuredly knoweth the entires cience (of wearing armour)'."A fact that Abhimanyu wore defensive armour.Again, below is a proof on Section 38 of DronaParva,“Though afflicted in battle by Radha's son withshowers of weapons, still Subhadra's son who resembled a very celestial (forprowess) felt no pain.”My point is, degree of hardness varies, property and behavior of armour varies when comparison is made for normal armour and defensive impenetrable armour. For your info, when someone pierced an opponent with fierce shafts, the armour would fall down or get shattered into pieces byunable to withstand the impact of arrows. (As what happened when Karna shattered Yudhisthira’s armour to powder / pieces and as how Arjuna shattered Karna’s armour into powder / pieces and finally, the dress or skin would be exposed when the armour fell down. But that was not the case with Abhimanyu. He felt no pain and was able to fight without any problem. As per Section 180 of Drona Parva, Karna’s natural born armour was literally impiercable. Not even Sudharshana chakra or any astra could harm Karna if he possessed his natural armour forever.Degree of hardness of armours:Karna’s natural born (Not even piercable) > Abhimanyu’s defensive armour (Can be pierced but cannot be shattered into small pieces and cannot make the armour fall down from the body. Also there won’t be any pain despite getting pierced) > Normal armours (Can be shattered into minute pieces)I am not sure of the hardness of Duryodhana’s impenetrable armour which he wore at the end. I guess it is stronger than Abhimanyu’s but weaker than Karna’s natural armour.14) Karna used Pasupata astra. Proof – Section 60 of Karna ParvaKrishna says “Yonder Karna urges forward the mighty car-warriors of the Dhartarashtras towards the son of Pritha with the weaponscalled Sthunakarna, Indrasjaha and Pasupata, and with clubs and other weapons.”15) Section 56 of Karna parva -“Indeed, neither Bhishma, nor Drona, nor any other warrior of thy army had ever achieved such feats as were then achieved by Karna in that battle.”16) Around section 36 to section 46, Salya would constantly scold Karna and constantly praise Arjuna. Karna couldn’t bear the scolding and thought of even getting down the chariot. Salya scolded Karna as per the plan of Yudhisthira. (Udyoga Parva - Section 18 - Yudhisthira, advised Salya to scold badly. And in Karna Parva, it’s clearyly mentioned that Salya would even get permission in the beginning itself that he could say whatever he want but Karna should not mind it). Seriously - 10 sections of scoldings on Karna?? (Kudutha kaasuku melayae pesitaan Salya!)17) Section 87 of Karna Parva -Imagine Krishna’s and Arjuna’s reaction - when they finally see Salya and Karna on the opposite, Salya says “If, O Karna, the white steeded Arjuna slays thee in battle to-day, I myself, on a single car, will slay both Madhava and Phalguna.” Just imagine the reaction of them - actually Yudhisthira sent Salya to scold Karna, the reverse happened. (Salya was transformed slowly by Karna’s lightness of hands, in releasing huge number of arrows per second, etc. when you read the Parva, you would know how slowly Salya stopped scolding after initially scolding Karna for some 10 sections of the Parva and became a fan of Karna at the end)18) In Section 90, Again Krishna helped Arjuna by lowering the chariot when Karna used the infallible and irresistible Nagastra (The weapon he greased, oiled, worshipped and maintained for many years for killing Arjuna) and a snake would enter after Karna takes that weapon. Whether the snake entered or not entered, the Nagastra which he clearly protected for many years for killing Arjuna, would have surely killed Arjuna. (Refer Karna Parva) (Because Nagastra is infallible and irresistable)19) Bhishma and Drona were convinced that they could never defeat Arjuna and co. At least Bhishma tried faintly but Drona did not even try to defeat Arjuna and co. Arjuna used Indra astra on in the presence of Bhishma and made a blood river to flow in Kurukshetra with a heavy slaughter. Bhishma could not or did not counter and just looked angry at Arjuna. Seriously?!!! Drona - on the other hand, tried to send away Arjuna so that without Arjuna, he could seize Yudhisthira. (Finally he couldn’t seize Yudhisthira despite Arjuna went away for 2 days) (Read Bhishma Parva and Drona Parva by pressing “CTRL+F” of Arjuna. And during the encounters with Arjuna, they both never had any advantage or upper hand over Arjuna.20) The duty of a captain is to bring the team together and not create a rift in the team. Bhishma rated Karna as half a rathi when he was actually a Maharathi warrior (That too equal to 2 Maharathi warriors). Drona sided with Bhishma and rated Karna as half a rathi! I mean, being a captain and vice captain, why did they wanna destabilize a person’s manhood / bravery by degrading the person with false lies / false certificate? Is this right? So, Karna told that he would not fight as long as Bhishma fought! Bhishma gladly accepted it. (Finally, Karna outshined both Bhishma and Drona with a very huge fashion as per my above and below points - that too he fought for just 7 days against Bhishma of 10 days and Drona of 16 days) I judge a person’s character by his actions and not speech. This is a lack of maturity by both Bhishma and Drona and an unacceptable behaviour.21) Again, Bhishma’s and Drona’s failure to accomplish their oaths - As I said, I judge a person’s character by his actions and not words. If they could able to take an oath and stand by it, why couldn’t they give their best or at least try to their best? I agree Arjuna was better than them both but did they even had any shot at killing the 5 Pandavas. Thus, their character and attitude - I again rate below Karna.22) Karna fought with Rakshasa Ghatodgaja at dead night, I mean, none could have ever achieved that feat - super human achievement it was. Alone, single handed, without the help of Drona or Kripa or Ashwattama, he repeatedly defeated Ghatodgaja. Every time that Rakshasa was defeated, every time the Rakshasa used severe illusions and tricks along with more and more prowess. Entire men were astonished, Pandavas and allies watched the show with astonishment without blinking their eyes whereas Kauravas were literally terrified with fear and crying “Everything is gone, everything is gone”. Karna never displayed even slightest of fear. He killed the Rakshasa after repeatedly defeating it.23) Karna had a real shot or upper hand at killing Arjuna unlike Bhishma and Drona. Karna clearly countered Arjuna’s Indra astra by using Bhargavastra! Did Bhishma? Nope. Heavy slaughter happened to Kauravas due to Arjuna’s Indra astra and it caused a blood river flow in the presence of Bhishma. Karna routed the Pandavas, Panchalas along with all allies by entering into the middle and attacked them with all Celestial Divya astras! Broke the armour of Yudhisthira. He used Brahma astra, Bhargavastra, Pasupata astra and diverse celestial astras so that he could finally have an encounter with Arjuna. And he invoked Brahmastra 3 times against Arjuna by proving that no Kshatriya could ever be Karna’s equal by breaking Parashuram’s curse. Apart from Brahma astra, he also used Vayavya, Varuna astra (to counter Arjuna’s Agneyastra and as a result of excess Varuna astra - his wheel sank in the slushy earth) and used diverse celestial weapons wisely not only against Arjuna but also against entire enemies when he became the captain and shouldered up the responsibility.24) Karna broke 11 strings of Arjuna’s Gandiva - Did Bhishma and Drona break a single string?25) Karna had a real shot at killing all the 4 Pandavas but let them go away as per the promise to Kunti. Did Bhishma and Drona have any chance to kill 4 Pandavas or did they even create any chance to kill them? When Karna had a real chance at all the 4 Pandavas, did Bhishma and Drona have any chance at killing even a single Pandava?26) (Section 91 of Karna Parva) Even when Karna’s wheel sunk badly and his car tilted badly, Karna had a real shot at killing Arjuna when he made Arjuna lose his Gandiva from his hand’s grasp for the first time ever (An unimaginable feat). Arjuna trembled like a mountain in an earthquake, Gandiva fell down but Karna did not kill Arjuna. He took the time gap to retrieve the sunken wheel. Did Bhishma and Drona accomplish any of the above points?27) But why I like Karna is, unlike Bhishma and Drona, he fought by keeping his words. He assured Duryodhana that he would kill Arjuna and he fought for it and had a real chance when he made Arjuna lose his grasp on Gandiva by making it fall. Also he possessed Indra’s dart and the infallible Nagastra (Krishna lowered the chariot and saved Arjuna from certain death). He promised Kunti that he would not kill the other 4 Pandavas and he kept his words by letting them go (Refer Karna Parva) He didn't kill those 4 Pandavas though he had the chances, due to his promise to Kunti.28) My personal opinion is, I rate everyone as good, but extremely exceptional and best - I rate Karna and Arjuna. Not even Bhishma or Drona. They both never had any upper hand against Arjuna. Also, though their wisdom was high, they lacked street smart attitude. (Please don’t say they were compassionate and affectionate with Arjuna, that’s why they could not defeat Arjuna, that’s an utter false statement if someone says. It was actually Arjuna who felt affectionate and could not attack Bhishma and Drona. Even then they both could never have any upper hand over Arjuna. And they themselves repeatedly agreed that they could never have any upper hand over Arjuna.)29) Finally, regarding other points,A) I beg to differ regarding Karna calling Draupadi a whore. Karna laughed and teased / scolded Draupadi and Pandavas in Sabha Parva, I clearly read that Parva by using “ctrl+f” Karna. No where Karna called Draupadi a whore. He was left to shame in public in Draupadi’s Swayamwara when Draupadi told him she would not marry a Suta when Karna was exactly aiming for the fish target. (A feat which only Arjuna had accomplished in lifting and stringing that bow when every other king failed). She also teased Duryodhana that he was also a blind just like his father, which I don’t think she should have told such that others could hear. Thinking in mind is fine (not sure) but teasing an emperor along with the son (Karna’s best friend) and that to be heard by others, that’s definitely wrong. I am not defending Karna but I feel that any normal human being would have a grudge against Draupadi if he had been in Karna’s position in the above two circumstances. Thus he laughed at both Pandavas and Draupadi and gave insults but never he called her a whore!!! I clearly read the entire parva. Then what about Arjuna deciding to kill Yudhisthira in anger in section 69 of Karna Parva. It’s all human emotions. I don’t defend Karna’s actions as well as Arjuna’s behaviour to kill Yudhisthira. But these don’t determine the character of a person. Does it mean Arjuna is bad? Nope. These are clear emotions which get released in the form of words or behaviour.B) Regarding Karna donated everything so that he could get punya to defeat Arjuna, that’s a big joke. Again I used ctrl+f in Ashwamedha parva. Never he told such. Prove me by saying the section number.C) In Draupadi’s Swayamvara, the fight between Karna and Arjuna were close and equal. None had any upper hand. PS: I read it. Karna would be shocked when he heard the Brahmana (Arjuna) saying that he knew Brahma astra (Since Karna did not know that at that time). But the fight between them and their verdict - they were both equal.30) Epilogue:Regarding Mahabharatha itself, what we actually have is Vaisampayana's and not Jaimini's. They both were disciples of sage Vyasa and as per their profile and resume / Curriculum vitae, I prefer Jaimini over Vaisampayana. Jaimini's Mahabharatha was not supportive of Pandavas and not supportive of Kauravas. His writing was neutral. Sadly, his Mahabharatha was lost and only bits and pieces are available and considerable portion of Ashwamedha Parva. In Jaimini's Ashwamedha Parva, during Arjuna's conquests, even Arjuna could not defeat a demon. Bhima too. But that demon was defeated by Vrishaketu (Karna's son - whom Arjuna brought up affectionately as his own son). When that demon enquired his identity, Vrishaketu replied that he was the grandson of Surya and son of Karna. He was one of the last human beings to have known the knowledge of celestial weapons. My point is, under the name of Vaisampayana, lot of interpolations and manipulations have occurred in many ancient years by many writers / sages, which is clearly acknowledged by many researchers. Karna had two sons as per Jaimini, but in Vaisampayana's Mahabharatha, it was like 7 to 8 sons. Seriously, how can I accept this. And Vaisampayana never mentioned in Ashwamedha Parva that the demon which even Arjuna could not defeat, it was defeated by Karna's son. Also, Karna’s wife committed Sati after his death. Alas, not even told in our Vaisampayana Mahabharat. Also it was not mentioned who performed his last rites. Vaisampayana was a good writer and also the other sages / writers who interpolated the Mahabharat by using Vaisampayana’s name but I feel Jaimini’s neutral epic with equal weightage to everyone in Mahabharat would have been the best to be read.I am not a hater of Pandavas; I even like the way Vaisampayana has written Vyasa’s Mahabharat with respect to Dharma, philosophy, ancient Gods, sequences, etc. BUT, what i can’t accept is the weightage he’s shown towards Pandavas dharamas and less number of pages for Kauravas and Karna - I can’t accept that. Let any author write it neutrally with equal weightage and as a reader, let me decide what is good and what is bad and let me choose whom I like and whom I don’t like. And you were telling some times that Sanjaya said this, that, and Sanjaya might have been biased, etc. but remember that it’s Vaisampayana the Kingmaker of this epic and not Sanjaya! No one else. (If Vaisampayana can introduce 6 new sons of Karna in the war suddenly out of thin air, then anything is possible) (Contrary to Jaimini’s 2 sons of Karna). Thus, I feel little suspicious towards Pandavas and little sympathy and admiration towards Duryodhana and co. That’s it. In those days, for a king to accept a low caste as a friend and giving a kingdom instantly (Anga to Karna), that was an unimaginable feat! (I don’t care about selfish moto or whatever, none during those times would have that kind of broad mindedness, that’s my point). That temple in Kerala - you listen to the village tribe story in that temple village. They worship Duryodhana because, in that area during those times, those tribes were not supposed to give food or water to high class Kshatriyas, but Duryodhana got water from them and they were shocked to find out that Duryodhana was actually the emperor and asked for forgiveness. But Duryodhana smiled and told them that any human who brings water to a thirst man and he would not differentiate or degrade someone with caste at that moment and then he prayed to Gods that that particular tribe should not face any evil problems. The location where he prayed - they built temple for him! (Other minor deities are his wife Bhanumathi and few others). I don’t try to make ends meet or balance something or justify something. My point is, lot of emphasis on Pandavas’ dharma was there but not much weightage to anyone in Kauravas including Karna. Simple. And again I say, Thus, I feel littleeee suspicious towards Pandavas (Including Vaisampayana and other interpolators and manipulators of this epic under the same name called Vaisampayana) and little sympathy and admiration towards Duryodhana, Karna and co. That’s it.(Though I'm already convinced by our Vaisampayana's writing itself that Karna was the greatest, imagine how much happy I would be if I read a copy of Jaimini which was a neutral epic and not entirely supportive of Pandavas)

Did Draupadi love Arjun the most?
Before answering the question I would set the base line - My opinion is completely based on KMG translation of Mahabharata. This is the only unabridged translation available freely in public domain.Facts to remember before making any judgement -Draupadi was married to 5 brothers. The rule established between them -“"Vaisampayana continued, 'The illustrious Pandavas, thus addressed by the great Rishi Narada, consulting with one another, established a rule amongst themselves in the presence of the celestial Rishi himself endued with immeasurable energy. And the rule they made was that when one of them would be sitting with Draupadi, any of the other four who would see that one thus must retire into the forest for twelve years, passing his days as a Brahmacharin. After the virtuous Pandavas had established that rule amongst themselves, the great Muni Narada, gratified with them, went to the place he wished. Thus, O Janamejaya, did the Pandavas urged by Narada, established a rule amongst themselves in regard to their common wife. And it was for this, O Bharata, that no dispute ever arose between them.” [Ref - Adi Parva: Rajya-labha Parva: Section CCXIV]Those days brothers didn't enjoyed equal position in society.According to the social norms of those days, a younger brother always has to respect, revere and obey the elder one.So in case of shared subject/matters elder brother always had more say/command/rights and responsibility than younger one.Unfortunately, Draupadi got married to five persons who had brotherhood relationship in between them.On top of that Yudisthira holds the position of King making it more unequal ground. So even if Draupadi treats her husband equally, she won't get similar equal response always as in most of the family matters the decision making process would always start with Yudisthira and Bhima. That's why you hardly hear any opinions from Nakula/Sahadeva.Thats the reason Yudisthira could easily say Draupadi was partial to Arjuna but nobody says on which right Yudisthira put bet on his four brothers and finally on Draupadi who was also wife of his four brothers.Analysis -If we look closely and analyze the events that happened after the marriage between Arjuna and Subhadra -Arjuna came back to Indraprastha with Subhadra. Draupadi got emotionally hurt and lamented when she heard about Arjuna’s marriage with Subhadra.Arjuna apologized to Draupadi and asked for forgiveness. That’s the moment when he actually realized Draupadi’s true feeling. After that he never committed the same mistake again.People does mistake and rendering apologies should be taken as sign of repent on those days unlike present times where it's easy to say sorry and get away. The actual conversation was -“At last the hero went unto Draupadi. Draupadi, from jealousy, spoke unto him, saying, 'Why tarriest thou here, O son of Kunti? Go where the daughter of the Satwata race is! A second tie always relaxeth the first one upon a faggot!' And Krishna lamented much in this strain. But Dhananjaya pacified her repeatedly and asked for her forgiveness” [Ref - Adi Parva: Haranaharana Parva: Section CCXXIII]But rendering apology didn’t cut the ice and then he sent Subhadra to Draupadi as cowherd girl. Subhadra willfully went and asked Draupadi to accept her as maid. Draupadi relents and accepted Subhadra as she was also Draupadi’s friend Krishna’s beloved sister.“And returning soon unto where Subhadra, attired in red silk, was staying, Arjuna, sent her into the inner apartments dressed not as a queen but in the simple garb of a cowherd woman. But arrived at the palace, the renowned Subhadra looked handsomer in that dress. The celebrated Bhadra of large and slightly red eyes first worshipped Pritha. Kunti from excess of affection smelt the head of that girl of perfectly faultless features, and pronounced infinite blessing upon her. Then that girl of face like the full moon hastily went unto Draupadi and worshipped her, saying, 'I am thy maid!' Krishna rose hastily and embraced the sister of Madhava from affection, and said, 'Let thy husband be without a foe!' Bhadra then, with a delighted heart, said unto Draupadi, 'So be it!'” [Ref - Adi Parva: Haranaharana Parva: Section CCXXIII]Rather than asking Draupadi to accept Subhadra directly Arjuna asked Subhadra to go to her as cowherd woman / maid.It shows that Draupadi deserved more priority due to her own characteristic and Arjuna acted according to that. Many modern day thinkers believed that Draupadi was tricked - I don’t agree to that as trickery characteristic was not present in Arjuna’s character at all - there was no second example to prove that. All actions of Arjuna were done in by heart. You must remember that as per Vyas Mahabharata Arjuna had just simply abducted Subhadra after getting smitten by her beauty. The Arjuna - Subhadra love story is fake story and can be found in only folklores. Also as mentioned earlier, Draupadi’s reaction was probably due to her own insecurity that Subhadra may get higher position (Subhadra is Krishna’s sister) and Draupadi won’t get much attention / priority from Arjuna and Subhadra would take that place. As she said -“A second tie always relaxeth the first one upon a faggot”.By sending Subhadra as cowherd girl to Draupadi, Arjuna might have tried to assuage that insecurity of Draupadi. If the issue was some thing related to love then no matter what Draupadi would have remained unhappy and not accepted Subhadra at all.Arjuna might not have expected this reaction of Draupadi.Subhadra became Draupadi’s devoted companion. During 13 years exile she even raised Draupadi’s sons with her own son.Only Draupadi’s story continued - She took all pains to go with Pandavas to forest forsaking her own children. She was said to be devoted equally to all five husbands. But there are few qualities which separates Arjuna from his other four brothers when its comes to relationship with women. He was far better in handling that than his other brothers. He could give equality to relationship. Two such examples can be taken to support that context -Just before burning Khandav-prastha Arjuna and Krishna goes to banks of Yamuna for water sports with friends - who were those friends? It was Draupadi, Subhadra and few other ladies. They goes and enjoys sportingly, singing, dancing and drinking wine in the banks of river. The other pandava brothers never did such thing with Draupadi. No other characters of Mahabharata did such thing with their women relatives. [Ref - Adi Parva: Khandava-daha Parva: Section CCXXIV], http://creative.sulekha.com/the-...When Sanjay comes as peace messenger he founds that Arjuna, Krishna, Draupadi and Satyabhama (2nd wife of Krishna) sitting together in separate apartments and gossiping. Only very few people were allowed to enter in that apartment. It was said Satyabhama also has very friendly relation with Draupadi and Arjuna. [Ref - Udyoga Parva: Sanat-sujata Parva: Section LIX], {Krishna-Arjuna-Satyabhama} -the less known 'sakha-sakhi' relationshipIt shows that Arjuna treated Draupadi not only as a wife but also as a friend.Together with common friend Krishna they formed very special friend group. It was because of this Draupadi was possessive - apart from Arjuna being one of the greatest warrior of that time and did everything he could for the prosperity for the family.Arjuna had a unique quality of making people around him happy. When Arjuna was away for training in heaven all four brothers and Draupadi was deeply afflicted in misery because of his absence but when he came back they passed the 4 years like a single night happily in forest.Question can arrive in mind why Draupdi used to ask for protection from Bhima only if Arjuna really loved her? The answer is here -Question of asking protection doesn't even arrive if Arjuna is present in the scene. It was available by default. But Bhima was elder to Arjuna and physically more powerful. Therefore he had more commands and responsibilities than Arjuna.Bhima also loved Draupadi no doubt but the problem was he never gave equality to relationship. Rather he was trying to use his own physical strength to impress her.Draupadi went to Bhima only when she needed brutal revenge against some body as Bhima was revengeful and cruel compared to Arjuna who never acted cruelly or when she needed somebody’s support in standing up against Yudisthira.Arjuna generally never spoke against Yudisthira and always revered him. Here are 2 separate questions which are always used to put a question mark on whether Arjuna really loved Draupadi or not -Arjuna’s favoritism towards Abhmanyu - Abhimanyu him self deserved the attention/love because of his quality. He was like a born hero and far ahead of his contemporaries. People used put Abhimanyu on par with Arjuna in terms of warrior skill. He was the right heir to Arjuna’s fame. But that doesn’t means he didn’t loved the sons of Draupadi. He actually trained everybody. Many says why did Arjuna took revenge against Abhimanyu’s death while he didn’t acted in similar fashion when Draupadi’s children died. That is completely wrong assumption. Jayadrath was not the killer of Abhimanyu. Arjuna took revenge because he was betrayed by Jayadrath. It was Arjuna who saved Jayadratha’s life on earlier occasion and he paid back by getting a boon from Lord Siva to hold the Pandavas except Arjuna for one day which in turn caused Abhimanyu’s death.Even Draupadi also praised Abhimanyu -“If Bhima and Arjuna, O Krishna, have become so low as to long for peace, my aged father then with his war like sons will avenge for me in battle. My five sons also that are endued with great energy, with Abhimanyu, O slayer of Madhu, at their head, will fight with the Kauravas.” [Ref - Udyoga Parva: Bhagwat Yana Parva: Section LXXXII]Draupadi herself agreed that Abhimanyu was more capable than her sons and she was confident that he would fight for her - No body questions her for this favoritism. I can prove Abhimanyu on 13th day remembered her while fighting - he fought till his last breadth.Arjuna’s failure to save Draupadi during dice game - Arjuna failed to save Draupadi because of many reason. The entire scenario happened because of Yudisthira’s mistakes. Draupadi was a bet in the game because she was Yudisthira’s wife, not because she was Arjuna’s wife. Same reason Subhadra was not a bet even though she was also present in Hastinapura in during dice game event.Duryodhana and Karna wanted to torture Draupadi for many reasons-First, To take revenge against Bhima who in many occasion insulted/tortured them.Second, To break the unity of Pandavas so that they gives up support to Yudisthira there by practically removing their concern on Pandavas claims on throne.Yudisthira was nothing without his powerful brothers. Actually Pandava’s weapons were already taken away and if they would have done some thing in protest they would have faced execution in Jail. The silence of entire assembly (except Vidura and Vikarna) showed that the entire hall would end up supporting Duryodhana in case of any confrontation. The reason why Arjuna was later sent to learn more Divine weapon as his knowledge of weapons was not enough to take on Bhisma/Aswthamma/Drona/Kripa/ Karna. And more, Duryodhana could have done more torture on Draupadi as revenge.I have never seen any mention of Draupadi’s disrobing in any where else in Mahabharata. Everywhere it was mentioned that Draupadi was dragged into assembly and insulted. The disrobing event and subsequent saving by Krishna is probably later addition / interpolation in order to glorify Krishna’s magical power. You can question why Bhima took the oath to kill Duryodhana and Kouravas and not Arjuna. Most important reason was -Duryodhana showed his thigh to Druapadi only to insult Bhima. The entire episode of insulting Druapadi was mainly targeted at Bhima to mock him and force him to act against either Yudisthira or state as he was not able keep calm.I could assuredly tell that if Druapadi was wife only Arjuna no body would have insulted her such way.Because of Bhima’s vow Arjuna or Satyaki didn’t killed any Kourava otherwise they could have easily killed them.As mentioned earlier, acting as younger brother Arjuna obeyed Yudisthira’s all commands even though he was burning in sadness inside.Arjuna ‘s biggest weakness was Yudisthira and he failed stand up against Yudisthira even though he actually thought Yudisthira was squarely responsible for dice game - [Arnab Ghosh's answer to What are the possible weaknesses of Arjuna?].Given the situation it may sound strange/funny today but on those days people used to revere elder brother like father.Even Draupadi listed that as quality of Arjuna’s character couple of time. When Arjuna was leaving for learning divine weapons -And, O Dhananjaya, let Hri, Sree, Kirti, Dhriti, Pushti, Uma, Lakshmi, Saraswati, all protect thee on thy way, for thou ever worshippest thy elder brother and ever obeyest his commands. [Ref - Vana Parva: Arjunabhigamana Parva: Section XXXVII]When she was spelling out qualities of her husbands to Jayadratha -And there, that foremost of bowmen, endued with intelligence and renown, with senses under complete control and reverence for the old--that brother and disciple of Yudhishthira--is my husband Dhananjaya! Virtue he never forsaketh, from lust or fear or anger! Nor doth he ever commit a deed that is cruel. [Ref - Vana Parva: Draupadi-harana Parva: Section CCLXVIII].Truly speaking even Kunti also knew the weakness of Arjuna that he always listen to Yudisthira. So before the war, Kunti sent messages to her sons through Krishna. Messages were different for each son, For Arjuna the message was -“O thou of mighty arms, say unto that tiger among men, Arjuna, that foremost of all wielders of weapons, that he should always tread in the path that may be pointed out by Draupadi. Thou knowest it very well, Kesava, that Bhima and Arjuna,--that pair of fierce and all-destroying Yamas, are capable of making the very gods go the way of all creatures. Is not this an insult to them that (their wife) Krishna was dragged into the assembly?”In that way she basically asked Arjuna to forget others and take the revenge on behalf of Draupadi.Even though he remained silent during dice game he didn’t forgot the insult heaped on Draupadi. Example -When Krishna was going to Hastinapura as peace messenger -“What thou, however, O Krishna, wishest to do for thy friends is scarcely strange, although it seems inexplicable how the object In view is capable of being effected by either mildness or its reverse. Or, if thou deemest their immediate destruction to be preferable, let it be effected soon without further deliberation. Surely, thou knowest how Draupadi was insulted in the midst of the assembly by Duryodhana of sinful soul and how also we bore it with patience.” [Ref - Udyoga Parva: Bhagwat Yana Parva: Section LXXVIII]When Arjuna was fighting against Kourava Army on 14th day -“So be it. Even this should be done by me. Disregarding everything else, proceed thither where Duryodhana is. Putting forth my prowess in battle, I will cut off the head of that wretch who hath for such a long period enjoyed our kingdom without a thorn on his side. Shall I not succeed, O Kesava, in avenging myself of the insult, in the shape of dragging her by the hair, offered unto Draupadi, undeserving as she was of that wrong.” [Ref - Drona Parva: Jayadratha-Vadha Parva: Section CI]The above points clearly indicates the dice game incident doesn't prove anything negative on Arjuna-Draupadi relationship. We have to remember that as a student Arjuna was one of the best. But he was the product of an education system which was based on - Guru system. “Guru Bramha, Guru Vishnu, Guru Maheshwara”.Guru was regarded as above God. Along with that it also taught that Parents, Grand Parents, Sages, Elder Brother has to be treated as per with God.Therefore their position were regarded above self or even above own wife (Now we regard sometimes wife/ girlfriend above every thing including even parents - but that logic shouldn’t be applied on the people who lived 3500 years back. If we do then we will be doing a complete injustice to the evolution that took placed between 3500 years). Their words were full and final. So it was expected that the best product of that system would always follow the above rules as article of faith. Arjuna’s unwavering devotion to his mother, sage Vyasdev, Guru Drona, Elder Brother Yudisthira and Grand father Bhisma was the root cause why he ended up sharing Draupadi, then remained silent in dice game and finally getting confused before the start of the war. Here comes Krishna the guide and his message of Gita which forces Arjuna to fight the same article of faith he was following - Fighting with people he respected as per God- Bhisma, Drona etc. His devotion to original God Krishna gets prioritized over his devotion to other people.Sitting on 2017 we may think how funny it was but even today if we go and ask a devotee to challenge the faith he believes in or ask an atheist to challenge the concept of atheism it won’t be easy enough for that person!!!!So analytical result is - Arjuna gave highest respect/priority to Draupadi because she deserved that by her quality. Similarly even though Draupadi treated all her husband equally she was more friendly towards Arjuna because he deserved that because of his own quality. Subhadra could be seen as just perfect complement to Draupadi rather than a competitor when it comes to relationship with Arjuna. Krishna would never done some thing which would be harmful to Draupadi.Vyas / KMG was far more clear about their relationship and gave clear indication of love between Arjuna and Draupadi -“And when Matali had gone away, that foremost of the royal race, Sakra's son, the high-souled destroyer of all foes made over unto his love, the mother of Sutasoma, beautiful precious gems and ornaments having the splendour of the sun, which had been presented to him by Sakra.” [Ref - Vana Parva: Tirtha-yatra Parva: Section CLXIV]“The princess Draupadi, however, looked angrily and askance at Krishna, (for she could not bear the ascription of any fault to Arjuna). The slayer of Kesi, viz., Hrishikesa, approved of that indication of love (for his friend) which the princess of Panchala, who also was his friend, displayed.” [Ref - Aswamedha Parva: Anugita Parva: Section LXXXVII]The above 2 statements very clearly mentioned both loved each other. I don’t see any other husband-wife relationship between any Mahabharata characters where writer gave a clear indication of love in such a way. If you look at the first statement - Author has used the term mother of Sutasoma to call Draupadi. You must remember that Sutasoma is Bhima and Draupadi’s son. Isn’t the the term used by author to express probably Arjuna’s non-physical love towards Draupadi? I think so.In fact Arjuna-Draupadi love story is the only original love story mentioned in the Mahabharata epic written by Vyas. The above 2 statements doesn’t really matters to the events of Mahabharata but still Vyas mentions that. There is no other love story between Mahabharata characters (forget Arjuna-Subhadra) ever mentioned by Vyas.If somebody reads the original translation of Vana parva and Virat Parva (Such as KMG/Vivek debroy) he/she can easily understand the above facts. The reason it looked like a one sided affair because Draupadi was expressive while Arjuna was shy. Rarely he gives any opinion while Draupadi would always fight for her opinion.Since Vana parva happened after Arjuna-Subhadra Marriage and Dice game, that proves those 2 events had no impact on Arjuna - Draupadi relationships. When Arjuna went to get Pasupata astra, Draupadi claimed that parting with Arjuna is more painful than whatever she suffered during dice game [Ref - Vana Parva: Arjunabhigamana Parva: Section XXXVII].The claim of Arjuna’s shyness and Draupadi’s expressiveness can be found in a conversation that happened between them in Virata Parva after Draupadi was saved by Bhima -Draupadi’s sarcastic comment - (When Arjuna inquired Draupadi about exactly what happened as he was not aware about any thing)Sairindhri replied, 'O blessed Vrihannala, always passing thy days happily in the apartments of the girls, what concern hast thou with Sairindhri's fate to say? Thou hast no grief to bear that Sairindhri hath to bear! It is for this, that thou askest me thus, distressed as I am in ridicule.'Arjuna’s reply -Thereat Vrihannala said, 'O blessed one, Vrihannala also hath unparalleled sorrows of her own. She hath become as low as a brute. Thou dost not, O girl, understand this. I have lived with thee, and thou, too hast lived with us. When, therefore, thou art afflicted with misery, who is it that will not, O thou of beautiful hips, feel it? But no one can completely read another's heart. Therefore it is, O amiable one, that thou knowest not my heart!'[Ref - Virata Parva: Kichaka-badha Parva: Section XXIV]So here is first time Arjuna says he himself is afflicted in misery but he also feels the misery of Draupadi. One of the best characteristic of Arjuna is he could smile even when he is in distress in order to cheer others up. That doesn’t means we can take him for granted. No body speak how distressful it would be for Arjuna the handsome warrior to spent as an eunuch dancing /singing between the gilrs. But Draupadi actually knew the pain of Arjuna and she was also very distressed at that. She spoke the following words she was actually trying to convince Bhima to kill Kichaka who was constantly looking at her with lustful eyes -That youth who on a single car had vanquished all celestials and men, is now, alas, the dancing master of king Virata's daughter. That Pritha's son of immeasurable soul, who had gratified Agni in the forest of Khandava, is now living in the inner apartments (of a palace) like fire hid in a well. Alas, the bull among men, Dhananjaya, who was ever the terror of foes, is now living in a guise that is despaired by all. Alas, he whose mace-like arms have been cicatrized in consequence of the strokes of his bow-string, alas that Dhananjaya is passing the days in grief covering his wrists with bracelets of conchs. Alas, that Dhananjaya the twang of whose bow-string and the sound of whose leathern fences made every foe tremble, now entertains only gladdened women with his songs. Oh, that Dhananjaya whose head was formerly decked with a diadem of solar splendour, is now wearing braids ending in unsightly curls. O Bhima, beholding that terrible bowman, Arjuna, now wearing braids and in the midst of women, my heart is stricken with woe.[Ref - Virata Parva: Kichaka-badha Parva: Section XIX]Truly speaking those words actually not required for Draupadi to convinced Bhima. She could have easily convinced Bhima. She really spoke her heart out. Conclusion (Based on Mahabharata)-Draupadi to Arjuna when Arjuna left for getting divine weapons -'O thou strong-armed one, let all that Kunti had desired at thy birth, and let all that thou desirest, be accomplished, O Dhananjaya! Let no one amongst us be ever again born in the order of Kshatriyas. I always bow down unto the Brahmanas whose mode of living is mendicancy. This is my great grief that the wretch Duryodhana beholding me in the assembly of princes mockingly called me a cow! Besides this he told me in the midst of that assembly many other hard things. But the grief I experience at parting with thee is far greater than any I felt at those insults. Certainly, in thy absence, thy brothers will while away their waking hours in repeatedly talking of thy heroic deeds! If, however, O son of Pritha, thou stayest away for any length of time, we shall derive no pleasure from our enjoyments or from wealth. Nay, life itself will be distasteful to us. O son of Pritha, our weal, and woe, life and death, our kingdom and prosperity, are all dependent on thee. O Bharata, I bless thee, let success be thine. O sinless one, thy (present) task thou wilt be able to achieve even against powerful enemies. O thou of great strength, go thou to win success with speed. Let dangers be not thine. I bow to Dhatri and Vidhatri! I bless thee. Let prosperity be thine. And, O Dhananjaya, let Hri, Sree, Kirti, Dhriti, Pushti, Uma, Lakshmi, Saraswati, all protect thee on thy way, for thou ever worshippest thy elder brother and ever obeyest his commands. And, O bull of the Bharata race, I bow to the Vasus, the Rudras and Adityas, the Manilas, the Viswadevas, and the Sadhyas, for procuring thy welfare. And, O Bharata, be thou safe from all spirits of mischief belonging to the sky, the earth, and the heaven, and from such other spirits generally.'"Vaisampayana continued, "Krishna, the daughter of Yajnasena, having uttered these benedictions, ceased.[Ref - Vana Parva: Arjunabhigamana Parva: Section XXXVII]If some body has doubt even after this then I would like to advice him/her to read a proper unabridged translation of Mahabharata such as KMG, Vivek Debroy etc which is translated from Sanskrit epic.Major Sources of all folk stories - Arnab Ghosh's answer to What are some of the best kept secrets of the Mahabharata?Update Answer

Who is the greatest among Karna, Arjuna, Ekalavya?
Simple answer is Arjun. Let's contemplate on the qualities of the 3 in detail.ARJUN: Arjun had such a personality which was liked by everyone. Every mother wanted a soon like him. Every woman wanted a husband like him. Every person wanted him as a friend, Including Sri Krishna. He wanted to learn archery and all other shastras to establish the rule of Dharma. Maharaj Pandu and Maharani Kunti had taught and nurtured him for the same. Infact they desired him to be a noble warrior while they were conceiving him through Indra. It's called Garbha Sanskar. This is something Eklavya and Karna missed. Arjuna's skills: Arjun never slept while he was in the gurukul of Dronacharya. In the day he used to learn new skills and in the night he practiced them. He is called by the name Gudakesh for that. There is no chance that anyone else in the world would be a greater skilled archer than Arjun. He fought the war of Kurukshetra only because Sri Krishna wanted him to fight. He did not have any ego. There is not a single person who was hurt by Arjun. EKLAVYA:Eklavya wanted to learn archery to protect his pack of dogs. He was of the Nishad tribe. They were hunters. He wanted to become the best hunter among them. He had a pack of dogs with him while he went for hunting. But he was not expert in archery. For that reason he wanted to learn it. He was passionate for becoming a hunter gatherer. Dronacharya knew his motive so he declined to teach him. Dronacharya wanted to teach only to noble princes who would have noble cause to become a Kshatriya. Eklavya did not listen to Dronacharya and kept on learning archery. This is disrespect towards his guru. Dronacharya instantly made his assessment of Ekalavya. For that act of Eklavya, Dronacharya asked his right thumb. After many years though Drona took mercy on him due to his Guru Dakshina, took him to Mandar mountain and taught him archery without the use of thumb. He taught Eklavya just what he needed. Thus, he could protect his pack of dogs and do nothing else. In short, Eklavya surely would have become an accurate archer, BUT averse to Dharma. Just like the terrorist killers of Peshawar who wield AK 47s. Dronacharya averted the making of a mighty potential ally of Duryodhana.KARNA:In some regards similar is the case with Karna. He lacked noble values. He was very easily allured to join Kauravas, who performed only sins throughout their reign. He lacked intelligence. Just see how Karna had to maintain the association of Kauravas till the end of his life for their little mercy. He could have easily come out of the mafia by the help of Sri Krishna, Bhishma or Yudhushthira. If he desired to. With regards to his archery skills he was never better than Arjun. Arjun defeated him at Virat war, Draupadi Swayamvar, and at the end in the final war. He had also ran away from fighting with Chitrarath gandharva. Even Bhima defeated him once in the Kurukshetra war. Even Abhimanyu was superior to him. That's why Karna become one among the pack of Kauravas, who fought Abhimanyu simultaneously. He was even cursed to forget his silks at the urgent time. Regarding his education, the gurus rejected him not because of his low birth but because he lacked the qualities of the nobility, just like Eklavya. In those days your skills did not entitled you to higher education. But the purpose why you want to learn the skills was important. With regards to this point, we can say the assessment of Ashwathama by Dronacharya was a great failure of Dronacharya. He taught Bramhastra to Ashwathama who used it rashly.Concluding in short, Making it simple.Eklavya = Basic Values/Purpose + No Chivalry + Potential Expert in SkillsKarna = Purpose of Personal Ambition + Pseudo Chivalry, Whimsical + Between Intermediate-Expert in SkillsArjun = Noblest Purpose of establishing the rule of Dharma + Chivalrous + Expert in SkillsFor his first quality of purpose Dronacharya wanted Arjun and not Eklavya to become the most skillful archer. This assessment of Arjun by Dronacharya was the greatest success of Dronacharya. In the end Arjun is the greatest among the 3.

In the Mahabharata (Hindu epic), who is better, Arjun or Karna?
1. Even if with the Kavach and Kundal he has been defeated at Draupadi's Swayambar, Virata War & Cattle tale (by Gandharvas). But it is true that it gave him protection. If Arjuna and Karna should be compared, then why with an additional gadget with karna.. Moreover he took a fatal weapon from Indra in exchange of Kavach and Kundal. So it was a swap, a decision made by Karna himself..If Karna was sufficient to kill Arjuna then why did he want Sakti weapon?? He could have given Kavach and Kundal with out taking anything back.. right?? 2. About Karna and other pandavas.. Please read original translation of KM Ganguly, where in Jayadhratha Vadha parva, it is mentioned that Bhima entering into the array formed by Drona met with Karna and repeatedly defeated Karna thrice with, Aswathhama, Dushasana & Other Kaurava brothers came to rescue him and in tern those 16 brothers of Duryodhana lost their life to Bhima at the sight of Karna, and Karna felt ashamed of the situation and shed tears for those brothers of Duryodhana. After that Karna defeated Bhima when he was exhausted of all weapons and Bhima challenged Karna to wrestling which Karna did not accept. Bhima mentioned the same thing to Arjuna after he killed Jayadhratha and Arjuna went to Karna and told him that Karna's boastfulness will vanish when he will killl Vrishasena (Karna's eldest son) in front of Karna's eye unlike Karna killing Abhimanyu unfairly that to when Arjuna was not present. And Arjuna did the same and killed Brisasena who was Karna's son on 17th day of the war in the sight of Karna and Karna could not do anything.3. Third point about Krishna disguised as Brahmana taking away Karna's merit's is mentioned in some other latter version, not in the Mahabharat the original Veda Vyasa. Also please read in the KM Ganguly's traslation of Original Mahabharata by Veda Vyasa, that before the chariot of Karna was sunken down to earth, Karna was fully bathed with blood releasing from wounds by Arjuna's arrows. Also there was a situation when Karna dropped the Bow and arrow and knew not what to do. There are many later versions which try to showcase Karna more than what he was.By stating the same I do not undermine Karna's prowess or skill. Although he was a skilled archer but in various occasions, sage Narada, Parasurama, Bhisma (during Peace mission of Krishna), Krupacharya (during Virata War), Aswathhama (during war on 14th day after sunset) have told Duryodhana & Karna himself that Arjuna is invincible and Karna is not a match for him and also cited many examples of the past deeds of Arjuna compared to failures of Karna to achieve the same. Also Lord Parasurama (Preceptor of Karna, knows Karna's ability verywell) himself has mentioned in the Kurusabha (during Krishna's peace mission) that Arjuna is incarnation of sage NARA and is invincible. If we believe Mahabharata and we don't accept what the legends of the time have mentioned and try to put our logic to proof what we feel is right then I feel there is no logic. Many people have cited the example that Krishna himself has praised Karna infront of Arjuna, but there is no mention in the original Mahabharata rather in some south-Indian version (written later). He himself was defeated twice by Abhimanyu, and terribly wounded and fainted and fled away from the spot while fighting with Abhimanyu, Arjuna's kid who had not the full knowledge of weapons what Arjuna had. The point is why Karna asked Drona how to kill Abhimanyu, if he was the best? Again how he can be compared to the father of the kid who was proficient in war had defeated all the celestials with Indra at their head with the Asuras, Nagas, etc during Khandava Daha, who gratified Lord Shiva with his fighting skills, whom Indra himself had trained with celestial weapons before his triumph over Nivatkavacha & Kalakeyas whom gods themselves could not defeat. Also Lord Parasurama (Preceptor of Karna, knows Karna's ability verywell) himself has mentioned in the Kurusabha (during Krishna's peace mission) that Arjuna is incarnation of sage NARA and is invincible.Guess what today we will write another version saying that Kauravas won the battle and 800 years down the line when our future generations will read all the versions may believe that what we have written is right. Will it be good for us to change culture.Yes we can take out the goods from various characters. Karna definitely was having some qualities but he did not consistently stick to those except blindly supporting Duryodhana.Examples; He was behaving righteously during the period he was commander but why didn't he follow the same at the time of Abhimanyu's killing.

The White House, which initially said that Trump didn't know any details about Flynn until he learned about it later — then said that the president only found out about them through media reports — has faced questions about why Trump's son was seeking to establish communications with the Russian government in the first place.
In a series of tweets, Trump Jr. denied that he and others had received the emails, and called the Times story "a COMPLETE and TOTAL FABRICATION" of his meeting. He said the Times' "fictional account" was "100% made up."
