How do we know that we're not living in a computer simulation?
Because using mammals to generate energy is super inefficient. Super super inefficient. Those aliens had faster-than-light travel, so they had entire suns at their disposal. The amount of energy generated by human beings in comas would be so tiny in comparison as to be laughable.Plus, why bother to create an artificial reality? If for some reason, you specifically needed living beings, and specifically needed humans, why not just put them all in medically induced comas? And thus save yourself all the effort of creating and maintaining the Matrix world. But let's back away from the literal premise of the movie towards a more generic "are we living in a virtual world" situation. If we zoom all the way out, then the answer is definitely yes. Matter is energy, everything around us is composed of little random states of energy that interact with other states of energy. And you either know where that little state of energy is, or where it's going, but not both at the same time. Creepy! But I think there's also a middle ground, where the answer is "possibly yes." Say human being are able to build a computer smart enough to build an even smarter computer. (We're pretty much already there, in any case!) Let's say this quantum computer is powerful enough to simulate all senses to the degree that it feels real. After all, smartphone screens are already high-res enough that they look like real magazine pages! So why not? What's the first thing you're going to do when you have those kind of computers? Right -- you're going to create super realistic games. Now, when you play a game, do you prefer a game where everything always goes well, or a game where you have the potential to lose, where bad things happen? I know that, I, personally, get instantly tired of a game when I realize that I have enough lives saved up to live forever or when play is so easy that every move I make is a winning one. So, at some point in the future, we're definitely going to have hyper-realistic games that are indistinguishable from reality, complete with its up and downs. That's a given. Unless something catastrophic happens to use really really soon, we're going to have that. Now, all you need is one more step ... a game that blocks access to our memories, so that once we start playing, the game is everything, and we don't remember that it's a game. A game like that would be super compelling, wouldn't it? Now you do a quick calculation. Let say human being have invented this technology. And there was a certain period of time -- a few thousand years -- before this technology was invented. And a certain period of time -- let's say, millions of years -- after the technology was invented. Are you most likely to be alive during the earlier part, or the later part? The later part, right? So, once you decide that it's possible for us to have had invented realistic virtual reality, then it becomes extremely probable that we are experiencing it right now.Which means, that when you get hit by a bus out of the blue tomorrow, instead of the fires of hell, or the pearly gates, or nothingness, you'll wake up in your comfy arm chair, take off the VR headset and go, "Whoa, that game was a rush! It felt like I was in there for decades!"And it explains why the major religions all consider life to be an illusion, why Shakespeare called life a stage, and all the people in it merely actors, and why we're urged not to get too attached to worldly things. They're just virtual goods, after all, like gold coins you collect in Donkey Kong or the crops you grow in Farmville. And the big question then becomes -- is this a single-player game or multi-player? Is everyone else real, or an NPC?Have fun in therapy.

What computer language do I need to create a sign in and sign up form in a website? No coding experience by the way?
If you want to learn coding, use rubyonrails.org (screen casts/pdf)And to be specific, you need HTML and CSS to create forms, some sort of server and server code to process the data that is submitted by the form. If u want to store the data, you need a database. These three are the view, controller and model of your software.

Name the three ways in which signed can be represented in digital computer present the following numbers into 8-BITS binary numb
you would have been better searching Quora then asking this question again, but you can still do that and look at the great answers (including mine ) Elad Ben-Tzedeff's answer to Does binary number system have negative numbers? If yes, do computers use negative binary numbers?

Were Trump’s emails obtained illegally?
First, if emails aren’t classified (and there shouldn’t be ANY classified emails being handled by the transition team—they would have NO authorization to handle them or take classified material outside of any facility), then it is within the right of OPM and GSA to share those emails when requested. Here is what Chris Lu, head of the 2008 Obama Transition Team tweeted: “I was the executive director of Obama's '08 transition. Norm is right. There is no expectation of privacy in transition emails: 1) they have a .gov address; 2) they were created with govt-supplied equipment; and 3) they sat on govt servers. This is just whining from Trump team.”Second, those who posted that you can only get those emails via subpoena or warrant are wrong. For instance, all government records (except for classified ones) are required by law to be turned over to NARA (National Archives and Records Administration). No subpoena or warrant required. In fact, the irony of ironies here is: that’s the one law HRC broke with her using a private server and failing to turn over all emails: she violated NARA law that all government emails and content (unless it’s classified) must be turned over. There is no privacy even if it’s on a private server—b/c they’re government emails.Third, it’s comical that people would actually attempt to argue that the Mueller investigation did something wrong here. They didn’t sneak in to a building and burgle the files. They didn’t hack in to the server. They made a formal request to another government agency (the GSA). That government agency then forwarded the files. You can attempt to argue that the GSA violated some law. But arguing that the Mueller team broke the law is just comical.Oh, two other points—the Trump team is attempting to argue that there is a client-attorney privilege. But it turns out that’s only b/c someone was an attorney (i.e.: they’re arguing that anyone who is a lawyer has privileged conversations) even though the attorneys weren’t representing clients and the exchanges weren’t about clients. If you buy that interpretation than damn near every email exchange and conversation would be private. HRC is an attorney so ALL of her emails would constitute privileged information by that standard. Nonsense!Last of all, and this shows how shrew Mueller and his team is, they got all of these emails from the GSA in the summer. They they requested that the Trump legal team turn over emails related to topics X, Y, and Z. This allows them to compare what is in the original GSA emails with what the Trump legal team turned over….are there emails that weren’t turned over or that have been altered? It’s really very shrewd. What I was told is that this letter from Trump’s legal team was generated after the Mueller team interviewed someone in the WH and showed them one of their own emails which that individual didn’t expect Mueller to have. If there are gaps between what is in GSA and what Mueller was given from the WH, this is a big obstruction of justice element (withholding evidence).

Is it still worth studying computer science? It has exploded in popularity and part of the appeal was that it was new and fresh?
It’s true that computer science has exploded in popularity. There has been an upward trend in demand for computer programmers, as well as an increased desire to break into the software development industry. There are indeed other options similar to a computer science degree out there. I’m assuming that your goal is to eventually get a job as a computer programmer of some sort, so, let’s lay out your options and then go from there. You can either pursue a computer science degree or you can go through a programming bootcamp or programming school. What are the pros and cons of getting a CS degree? Well, many programming jobs require that you have some technical degree related to programming, such as a degree in computer science. A CS degree will also teach you many important concepts that you’ll need to work as a software engineer: procedural and object-oriented programming, data structures, and algorithms as well. On the other hand, those concepts only make up a small portion of the entire curriculum. A CS degree will for the most part cover theoretical concepts which may not be directly applicable to many of the jobs available industry. One other potential issue is the additional investment that you may need to make to specialize in a particular field of programming. If you go the route of getting a CS degree, but you really want to do data science, then you’ll first have to get a bachelors in CS or CE and then a masters in data science. From there, you might be able to find some internships or jump into a data science role. This is a signNow investment of time and money. And as I mentioned earlier, you may end of not using much of what you learn — mostly theoretical concepts — from your CS degree when you try to specialize in a certain programming field. There are alternatives to a CS degree. There are coding bootcamps out there that teach programming specializations like application development, data science and dev ops. But, there’s a huge downside to going this route. This route is expensive (less so than getting a formal degree), and also very fast-paced and intensive. For the majority of learners out there, such an environment just isn’t conducive to building a good foundation for a long term career in software development. A better option would be to find a coding school — not a boot camp — that focuses on mastering the fundamentals of software development. At Launch School, where I am an instructor, we put emphasis on mastery-based learning and on the fundamentals of software development. This means consciously choosing a path that emphasizes knowledge and skill rather than speed. Our pedagogy is focused on developing essential skills and good mental models that enable a new programmer to work towards a fruitful career in software development. Developing these essential skills is crucial, as it will help you form a foundation to build upon. If you want to specialize on a particular type of programming, then you can more easily do so after going through our program. You’ll have the fundamental knowledge necessary to understand more complex concepts that are built on top of programming fundamentals. Launch School has a well laid out path with an emphasis on teaching fundamentals and technologies that seldom change. We have found that this approach is not only an optimal path to learning to program, but a spring board towards a career in software engineering.

How were non-Latinate scripts displayed on electronic signs before high pixel density screens were invented?
They weren't. Before the resolution was sufficient, the sounds of the words were simply transcribed into latin letters for transmission and display. Needless to say, this was a horrible solution, as the huge number of homonyms in asian languages quickly lead to extremely ambiguous texts. Fun fact: Fax machines would most likely have never signNowed critical mass in the 1970s, were it not for the Japanese suddenly buying them in large quantities. Because unlike the then-widespread 60-symbol Teleprinter, they could process and transfer information as scanned pixels (and thus all the 2000+ Kanji).

The output from this program is -11. How is the 1's complement for a 4-byte integer calculated here?
Remember int is 32 bits wide (regardless of signedness), so when you assign 10 to a 32-bit integer, it's represented in binary as:0000 0000 0000 0000 0000 0000 0000 1010When you take the one's complement of the number (in order to negate the number), it's represented in binary as:1111 1111 1111 1111 1111 1111 1111 0101As you already know, computer's represent negative numbers in two's complement, so 1111 1111 1111 1111 1111 1111 1111 0101 in two's complement is:0000 0000 0000 0000 0000 0000 0000 1010 (one's complement of 10) + 1=> 1111 1111 1111 1111 1111 1111 1111 0110In decimal, this is represented as 4294967285 in unsigned form, or -11 in signed form (since computers represent negative numbers in two's complement, as explained above). Now, since you're passing the %d format identifier in printf(), you're seeing -11 as the result, since %d represents a decimal signed integer. In order to see the unsigned form, you have to pass %u as the format identifier, which represents an unsigned integer.
