hello and welcome to this tutorial for Microsoft Word for iPad the whole office suite for iPad was recently updated allowing people who do not have office 365 subscriptions to be able to create and edit documents on the iPad and iPhone quite a generous update so in this video we're going to take a look at some of the features available and how to do things and hopefully find is quite useful first of all we load up the app you can see quite a few templates already there so if you want to create a letter or a newsletter menu or all sorts of things you can do that we're going to start just by creating a blank document so and the first thing we usually do when we create document is to adjust the layout and the margins and that sort of thing so we can do that by hitting the layout tab at the top you can see we've got five different options and we're gonna pick the middle one layout and from there we can change the orientation portrait and landscape so I'm gonna stick this on landscape and we can change the paper size if that's what you want to do and we can also change the margins so I'm going to set my margins to be quite narrow because that's the way I like my documents and we're all set to go now if you do a pinch to zoom or zoom out we can actually see the full document on one screen make it as small as you like or as big as you like so we're just going to zoom in a little bit so you can see what's going on okay so we're just going to start typing so let's put in some text and then try to edit that okay so we've got outsides all here so I'm just going to select that by double tapping at the end of the sentence and selecting that if I go back to home I can get my basic text formatting options so if I just click choose where the font selection is there you can see we have a theme font and we're going to look at themes in a moment we've got lots of office compatible fonts and lots that are built into iOS so let's just find a nice font there and we can also change the size so if I click where the font size thing is I can choose a font from this menu or alternatively I can hit the plus and minus signs to make a bit bigger or smaller you can also type in the font size if you click where the number is in the middle and I can enter in a specific font size that want to use and there we have our title you can also make text bold italic and we can underline it and now other things we can add...
