hello everyone this is Annie from smart hood in the last videos we had learned about floating labels for edit text so here I define the text input layout for the email field which has the ID of the input layout email and then for the password field I have defined it as input layout password now let us move to main activity dot Java and write the code for validating this input fields so this is my main activity dot java first we will initialize the text input layouts the edit text and the button that we are defined in the activity main dot XML here I have defined the three edit texts the three text input layouts and the button which we will be using for the validation now let us initialize this elements in our on create method and here it is I have defined the function initialized widgets and then I have initialized all these widgets in this function here I have defined the three text input fields and here are the three edit text and this is the button on clicking the sign up button we will be validating the inputs that are given in the text fields so let us define the listener for this button so this is the listener for the sign-up button let us then create the function of the signup which will be executed for the validation in this function now we will be writing the codes to validate the input fields in our application let us first define a flag value that will keep the track of the validating elements just for the demo purpose we will be making the validation of is empty you may make it as complicated as you wish we will just keep it simple and crisp let us write the code for the first edit text of the full name and check if it is filled or not now as I said we will be validating if the field has some input or not so here if the full name field is empty what should we do we will be setting the error to true this will be for the text input layout that is provided for the full name which is input layout name let us set the error for the input layout name let's say the full name is mandatory and then let us say this is valid to false because the validation is false here next moving to the else case if the full name edit text is not empty what should be done we will set the error enabled as false so on clicking the button for the sign up the sign up method will be executed when it enters this function we have said the is valid variable to true if the full name edit text does not have any input the error message or full name is mandatory will be displayed and then this variable will be set...
