I’m a huge hatefan of David Cage. So of course, I had to check out Detroit. It’s pretty much as pretentious as I imagined.It’s not without its virtues. At the end of the game, I didn’t feel like I knew a lot about them, or what changed between their state as an obedient robot and a conscious robot. However, I find Connor’s arc to be the most developed and interesting of the three characters. He’s the only character who takes his time to get to consciousness. Nevertheless, the gameplay seems to contradict the idea that Connor wasn’t “free” until the end (if the player chooses for Connor, doesn’t that mean that Connor is free by proxy?).You can also tell that Cage doesn’t know what to do with kids in games. And yet he keeps including them !
