Does writing an agreement on plain paper and getting it signed make it a legal document (without any witnesses present)?
All documents require different different modes of proof in the eyes of law. Some documents like wills , powers of attorney etc mandatory require that they should be witnessed by two major witnesses . Some documents which do not fall in this clause and still be enforceable can be oral contracts or agreements in which case the onus of proof will be tough and surrounding circumstances and evidence should be strong to corroborate the same such as putting forth the reason as to why the same was oral and was not penned down and witnessed . Surrounding circumstantial evidence like proving the passing of consideration has to be strictly proved as agreements and contracts without passing of consideration are void. For a safe agreement and contract the same should be in writing on appropriate value of stamp paper as prescribed in the state where the same is executed and the same should be witnessed by at least two witnesses and preferably got attested by a Notary Public so that the same may be more authentic as the Notarial attestation carries sanctity to the same which is accepted all over the world. Agreements and documents executed on plain paper are also acceptable in evidence . But to be read in evidence all documents so to be read in evidence are to be exhibited by the person who has executed or witnessed its execution. At the time of exhibiting the same in evidence the opposite party can raise an objection on account of non stamping or under stamping of the same. But this short coming can be legally got sorted out by depositing a penal amount on the unpaid or deficient stamp duty that it should Have been written on. Here I would like to bring to your notice that short coming of deficiency of affixing stamp duty as required by the applicable under the law where the same is executed can be covered in case of all documents except the stamp duty applicable in a Demand promissory not which defect can not be rectified under the provisions of any law in force. And this objection can be entertained at any stage of the litigation and the same shall be up held.

Is it legal for store owners to restrict parking outside their stores when no official sign is present?
I suppose there could be a city with a parking ordinance enabling this, but my guess is "no." I've mediated some disputes where people decided they owned the curb space in front of their house or business. One lady hired a handyman to paint the curb red, as she didn't care for her neighbors' guests parking in front of her house. I told him to stop, and had city code enforcement handle the problem from there. She could have been cited for having the curb painted, but at a minimum she was going to get a bill from the city for the cost of burning the paint off of the concrete. If you parked in the space in front of the business and didn't patronize it, I imagine the owner would come out and yell at you. If it was me, I'd ask him to show me the city ordinance that restricted parking there, and otherwise we could call a police officer to referee the issue.

Is it legal to signNow a document without the person present or knowledgeable of document signing?
Let’s assume we are talking about a document that specifically requires a notary to attest to signing. In no jurisdiction would it be legal to signNow a document without the signing person present. In some jurisdictions, I imagine, they will allow live video to suffice, but you would need to check. It is impermissible to signNow the document after the person has signed. The entire point of having a notary is so that the notary can attest that the person who is alleged to have signed, actually did sign the document.Frequently the notary will ask for general information about the document to make certain that the person who is signing is aware of what they are signing. Whether notaries are required to do this in your jurisdiction, I cannot say. Generally, the notary will be looking for signs that the person signing is being coerced or is not competent to sign. You will need to check the law in your jurisdiction.

Am I legally bound to sign a non-disclosure agreement after an idea is presented to me?
No.If they wanted an NDA signed, they’re going to want it signed before they disclose the idea, as a precondition for the disclosure.Otherwise they are trying to lock the barn door after the horse has already been stolen.Note that almost no VC (Venture Capitalist) or Angel Investor will be willing to sign an NDA before you tell them your business plans, path to profitability, potential exits, and so on.In other words: pretty much everything. They aren’t funding your idea anyway, they are funding you and your team for your ability to execute the idea. Or they aren’t funding you.If your idea is so great, patent it. If it’s just your method of doing business that’s so fantastically revolutionary, then get a business process patent. If you are permitted to patent something like this:Patent US6869634 - Barbecue sauce and process for making sameThen you should have no problem patenting your idea, if it has real value.

How do I identify a liberal?
Most will dress according to the occasion. If invited to someones home, they’ll brush their teeth, comb their hair, was their face, put on deodorant and ensure that their nails aren’t filthy. They look people in the eye when the speak to them. They don’t mumble or talk to the floor. They are honest and willing to listen to your point of view, as long as you speak respectfully and not in an abusive or disrespectful way. They’ll respect your home and your things. They won’t tell you what to do in your bedroom, or who you can have sex with if you’re both consenting adults. If there’s a child in danger, the Liberal will be the one to call Law Enforcement (you know…those guys that neocons love to pretend that Liberals hate) and actually turn in the perpetrator/rapist/molester/pervert (who usually is a Conservative). They won’t turn the rapist priest over to the church leadership but will actually call the law on the criminal rapist priest. The Liberal will be the one who can actually spell and speak in complete sentences. Their grammar will usually be pretty good and if not, they’ll at least know the difference between “your” and “you’re”.Liberals will have all of their teeth or very nice “replacement” or “alternative teeth.” Don’t you just love that? No gum disease here, baby!Liberals have more morality in their pinky toe than Conservatives have in their entire families. Liberals don’t need to lie to cover up their multitude of transgressions. Liberals don’t need to deceive their followers. Liberals are honest. Liberals don’t lie every other word. Liberals don’t change the rules so that they benefit. Liberals don’t crave power. Liberals may have some racists but the vast majority of racists aren’t Liberal.Liberals aren’t crazy and don’t go running after every conspiracy theory out there. We like actual facts, evidence, and stuff that’s been vetted or peer reviewed. How to spot a Conservative? The exact opposite of what I just wrote.Yeah. Screw those guys.

Is it legal in California to deny service to a holder of a signNowd power of attorney and instead require that the original sig
Based on the comment exchange above, I am going to describe a course of action that I believe is most likely to result in a favorable outcome for the OP:Use California's Uniform Statutory Form Power of Attorney (available athttps://eap.ucsb.edu/sites/default/files/PowerofAttorney.pdf and elsewhere).Ensure that the POA form is completed and signNowd appropriately.Present the POA. If the third party refuses to honor the POA, point out that under Probate Code Section 4406 (CA Codes (prob:4400-4409)), refusal to honor the POA can result in the OP bringing suit to enforce the POA and being awarded attorneys' fees and other amounts. If discussion of Probate Code Section 4406 does not persuade the third party to act appropriately, have a lawyer write a letter to the third party explaining why the third party should honor the POA.

What could happen if Boris Johnson does not present the Brexit extension bill to the Queen to have it signed into law before the
Boris Johnson could be jailed if he won't delay Brexit, ex-chief prosecutor saysBoris would be taken to court and be found in contempt and end up in jail.If he breaks the law of Misconduct in Public Office he would have committed a criminal offence. Look what happened to Chris Huhne who was in David Cameron’s Cabinet. He ended up in Jail for lying in a criminal court. If Boris Johnson is found in contempt then he will have a criminal record and he cannot stand as an MP nor enter the Palace of Westminster. He will become a pariah of the establishment and would be blackballed by the upper echelons.

A check is a legal instrument. The rule is that the instrument has the effect that it was intended to have. The words, numbers, names, and signatures are evidence of that intent. So, if someone gives you a check, and affirms on national television that it is from them, and that it directs you to be paid, then it would be pretty hard to see any legal problems, whatever name it was signed with.

It is legal. If you sign papers, it is presumed you read and understand them. If you don’t understand them, you shouldn’t sign them. She could make the argument she should not be committed on the basis she misunderstood the papers, and they might be invalidated that way. Or that she was in a temporary mental state where she had a diminished capacity to understand she was doing. But in general, there is nothing illegal about enforced a contract or declaration that someone enters into without fraud or coercion.
