Is it easy to implement Salesforce?
SFDC is so broad, I can safely say one could spend their entire career learning, modeling and signNowing themselves for various aspects of the platform. There's just basic SFDC (Salesforce.com) and then there are other areas; Service Cloud, Sales Cloud, Heroku, Data.com, etc.The best advice I would give before even attempting to do anything "real" is to do the following;1. Sign up for a developer account (it's free - forever)2. Go through the http://wiki.developerforce.com/p... - examples by examples. It's basically all there - The problem I find is that people with software developer experience try to "beat into submission" their current experience to the SFDC platform. That, IMHO why SFDC is seen as "hard to learn" - it's not that it's hard. it's just hard to mentally ditch your previous experience (or at least tweak the heck out of it). Some For-instances - *. The APEX language, even though it's "java-like" is simply not Java.*. The Visualforce language, although "HTML-like" is simply not HTML or javascript. Further, the architecture of how it works is completely different from how thing work in typical web server environments.*. SOQL/SOSL Data queries are not SQL. The typical scenario is, many companies that have big expensive development staffs that try to just "pick up" SFDC, run into huge problems. Usually involving large licensing fees (upwards of $65/month/user to $250/month) and some completely befuddled developers....And then in come the consultants - billing out at about $250/hour (and up)Soon companies can be hemorrhaging money. SFDC has a lot of advantages - multi-tenant architecture, guaranteed availability, mobile apps, APIs, great, friendly user interface, internationalization, JSON/RESTful interfaces, lots of extensibility, a great user community.... and lots more. BUT- Learning the SFDC platform is infrastructure programming, pure and simple, with a lot of "clicks-not-code" activity.I've found it hard to convince java programmers, for instance, that (s)he can implement a workflow and/or Validation rule to do what they need to do, rather than sling a bunch of lines of code into a trigger or anonymous APEX to have things done.To learn Salesforce, throw your java/SQL/HTML (well most of your HTML) experience away, and just make it through the workbooks in the link I provided above.... THEN - determine if it's for you. There are so many specific tricks to learning how to build a really robust SFDC implementation, that it can seem daunting at first.... however, it's absolutely amazing to me how many people simply have not gone through the workbooks.... It's usually my first question: "have your developers gone through the Force.com workbook?"

How do I integrate Salesforce with Box?
Great question! Being the CMO of cloudHQ, this is a question I think I should answer! :-) Box has an integration with Salesforce, but it really doesn't cut the mustard because: There's no automatic backup of Box in Salesforce, or of Salesforce in Box. Sorry- but you are able to do it manually. Users need to depend on 2 services: Salesforce AND Box to work. Last Sunday Box was down. What about countries where our Sunday is a Monday (Australia, Philippines, etc)? By depending on two services, you risk your work reliability. No search: All documents stay in Box, so salespeople can't search for their docs in Salesforce. The search results will show "no results". Salespeople need to hyperlink a Box doc to their chatter files or personal library, and then click the hyperlink to go to Box and access it there. The biggest issue is that these hyperlinks are (1) auto-generated by Box, so the title doesn't tell you what the document is, and (2) the title isn't searchable.Don't get me wrong, the Box cloud storage solution is PERFECT for many enterprises, but their integration lacks major functionality. So, with cloudHQ, we can map the sync for you, and you can still use Box with Salesforce. Here's how we do it:In Box, we map your Salesforce folders into 3 sections: accounts, opportunities, and your personal library (including chatter files). So whatever you put into Salesforce, gets synched to Box, in one of the 3 folders. Whatever is in your Box account is synched to the appropriate account, opportunity, and personal library in Salesforce. And I'm not talking about hyperlinks, I'm talking about the whole damn document. Because that's what salespeople need when they're on the go. They need a fast search that brings up their documents via mobile in Salesforce.Backup: Whatever is in your Salesforce will automatically appear in Box, in real-time. And whatever is in Box, will automatically appear in Salesforce. Do you have a report you need to share? Get it all in your Box folder and share the link with your supervisors. It'll always be up to date since the sync is in realtime. :)Safety with Archive folders: If you ever accidentally delete an account, or information is all of a sudden missing because of a malicious deletion, enable your archive folders in cloudHQ. It'll save a copy of your Salesforce account before any changes have been made in Box. This will give you no down time, and you can always just pick up where you left off. Give cloudHQ a whirl. Here's a 10% discount on top of your 15 day, no credit card free trial: 10% discount - cloudHQ Also, please let me know if you need more information, or if there's something else that you need that cloudHQ doesn't offer. We really want to help! :-)

Is electronic signature legally binding in India?
Yes, e-signatures are legally valid in India. In fact, e-signatures have been recognized by the Indian law, with the passage of the Information Technology Act in year 2000.As per the IT Act, two types of signatures have the same legal status as handwritten signatures. These primarily include:(i) Digital Signatures: In this case, the signer is issued a long-term (1 to 2 year) certificate based digital ID stored on a USB token that can be used along with a personal PIN to sign a document.Note: Previously, the signer was issued a long-term (1 to 2 year) certificate based digital ID stored on a USB token that could be used along with a personal PIN to sign a document digitally. Now with Aadhaar, that complicated procedure isn’t required anymore. You can simply use signNow’s Aadhaar eSign to create a digital signature on the fly using your Aadhaar ID(ii) Electronic signatures: These electronic signatures combine Aadhaar identity number with an electronic Know-Your-Customer (eKYC) method (which includes sending an One-Time-Passcode to the mobile number linked to the Aadhaar card for verification)These Aadhaar based e-signatures and digital signatures are valid as long as they satisfy these conditions:(i) Electronic signatures must be uniquely linked to the person signing the document. (in the case of Aadhaar based signatures, they are linked by the unique Aadhaar ID)(ii) At the time if signing, the signatory must have control over the data used to generate the electronic signature (for eg: they should be able to directly affix the electronic signature to the document)(iii) There should be an audit trail of the steps taken during the signing the process(iv) In the case of digital signatures, signer certificates must be issued by signNowing Authority recognized by the Controller of signNowing Authorities appointed under the IT Act.Few of the exceptional cases in which documents cannot be signed electronically and must be executed using traditional handwritten signatures include:(i) Negotiable instruments such as a bill of exchange or a promissory note(ii) Powers of attorney(iii) Trust deeds(iv) Wills and any other testamentary disposition(v) Real-estate contracts such as leases or sales agreements. If you are looking to get legally compliant electronic signatures on contracts, invoices, quotes etc., try signNow, India’s first Aadhaar eSign solution that offers a complete fill-and-sign functionality with business workflows. Thus allowing users to finish their documents in one go.Here’s an informative ebook that will give you a brief overview of everything you need to know about electronic signature laws in some of the largest economies around the world: The Complete Guide to Electronic Signature Laws

In your opinion, how are electronic signatures better than handwritten “wet” signatures?
First of all, digital signatures offer a much higher security and convenience factor - most digital signature software out there comes with quite a few encryptions to keep your documents secure, there are digital trails that track every change that happens to the document (such as signature added/removed, or any other alteration), quite a few applications also show a progress bar of how the signing process is going, you can assign signatures, add remarks and stamps - all on your mobile device. There is no need to track the person to get their signature - just wait for them to sign. This is incredibly efficient compared to the ‘wet’ signatures. So, the main factors are security, speed, audit trails, process monitoring and the ability to do all these tasks on the go and on multiple devices/platforms.If you’re in the market for such an application that offers all these features and more, I suggest checking out signNow by Kdan. It’s intuitive, user-friendly and besides being highly secure, it’s a good fit for both small and medium-sized companies, individuals, start-ups and all kinds of businesses. While there is plenty of e-signature software out there, signNow stands out due to its well thought-out tools, well designed and user-friendly interface and it’s multi-platform, so there’s no need to compromise on anything.Disclaimer: I am part of Kdan’s team, and my answers might be a bit biased.

How is box.net integrated with Salesforce?
While Box.net (now Box.com) has improved their Salesforce integration, it's still rather lackluster as I write this reply. There are 3 major problems with the Box <-> Salesforce integrationHyperlinks amputate your Sales Team:Box does its basic job of allowing Box documents to be correctly mapped into Salesforce's accounts or other libraries, however those documents are represented by hyperlinks that are auto-generated gibberish names. That means that in your Salesforce account, you have to go through all of your documents to find the right one. There's no preview, and there's no logical naming system.. so if you have more than 5 documents in one account, your salespeople/customer service people are going to be spending a ridiculous amount of time trying to find the correct document. On that note, if your salespeople are on the road and need to use Salesforce's search feature to find a document, they cannot. The search feature won't help them because the document is only hyperlinked to Box; it doesn't actually live in Salesforce, and therefore the Salesforce search feature cannot search for Box documents that are hyperlinked.Two-system Dependency Danger Zone:When one system is temporarily disabled (which happens more often that you think), you're actually crippling your business from functioning because the current Box-Salesforce integration actually requires you to be dependent on both platforms simultaneously. This is a huge risk for many businesses because you should have a fail-over method in case one platform goes down. In this instance, you have no safety zone. In fact, you double your risk by having to rely on 2 platforms. Why is this happening? This has a lot to do with platforms wanting to keep your information on their platform, and theirs only, because your data is valuable. It makes you rely on their platform, and they can charge you as you use it. Manual backups:This is more of a nuisance than a major flaw, but still, it's very much a big time waster. In order to backup your Salesforce information to Box, you need to manually set up a backup. It's a big pain in the butt. ---Clearly I'm biased because I'm cloudHQ's co-founder, but I would love for you to try the Box integration with Salesforce! It'll be a great starting point for comparison with our sync service. cloudHQ replicates your Salesforce into Box in real-time and automatically, pre-mapped out for you in 4 separate folders:AccountsOpportunitiesReportsDocumentsIf you prefer to have backups throughout the day, you can also set that up as well. Furthermore, your documents will live both in Box AND in Salesforce, helping you keep a safe fail-over method in case either service is temporarily disrupted. It also therefore enables your employees to you use Salesforce's search feature easily; saving your employees' time. Lastly, there's no manual backups! It's just all backed up for you automatically, and there's a 15-day free trial.I hope this helps explain the difference between how Box and Salesforce is currently set up through Box's integration, and what you can do to optimize it through cloudHQ.Best,Naomi

What are the best electronic signature (e-signature) solutions on the market, in your opinion?
[full disclosure: I’m VP Digital Transformation at Solutions Notarius Inc., a company that supplies electronic and digital signature solutions]It completely depends on the requirements. I do not believe there is a uniquely better e-signature solution for all scenarios. For example, if the type of documents to be signed require low to medium reliability only, most modern e-signature platforms could be ok, subject to meeting legal requirements in the applicable jurisdiction, but if the document must meet stringent regulatory and statutory requirements that include high reliability of identity of signers, those platforms do not typically meet that threshold.Ideally, you would analyze, define and obtain agreement as to what constitutes the minimal acceptable legal reliability threshold you are willing to accept - or that readers of that document will accept. Next, define the technology requirements that correspond to that threshold. Finally, research e-signature options that meet these requirements and provide the best combination of price, features, scalability, etc..Finally, it should be noted that higher legal reliability e-signature platforms and solutions can always accommodate lower reliability documents while the converse is not true…
