so you just got a new subscriber to your list hell yes awesome but just getting that lead isn't actually enough right because when the person comes to your list i would say they're a little bit lukewarm and they actually need to go from lukewarm to warm to hot to actually become your client right so we actually have to go through this entire nurture process with your email list so that is what we're going to talk about in this video how to turn those lukewarm subscribers into hot leads and clients and i'm kendra perry online business mentor for health and wellness coaches also the creator of health coach accelerator method let's dive into it just joking i need you to do one more thing before we get started today subscribe to my channel if you're an online coach health and wellness coach i give very valuable very actionable uh videos to grow your wellness business every single thursday also hit that little notification button so that you get notified so inside hca my signature program i teach students how to actually grow their list and get these leads on to their list and then we talk about nurture strategy and my students notice that once they really focus on list growth they actually get more clients into their business now there are two different ways in which you can do this one i call the minimalist version and then the other one's the intensive version we're going to talk about both so when growing your list the first thing you need is something of value to give away for free in exchange for the email address right people don't just give up their email address for anything right there's a lot of people out there who want people's email address so they're a little bit tight to give it up and so you need to provide something of value so that they will give you their name and email address right this can't be weekly updates this can't be a newsletter it actually has to be something of great value this is called a lead magnet a freebie some people call it a free gift a free offer a free resource it's all the same thing but it needs to be very very incredibly valuable to your ideal client and it also needs to be something that they just can't like google and find online right uh so because i mean if they can just google it why would they why would they sign up for it right so it needs to be highly specific to your ideal client right if you help women with anxiety you don't want to create a smoothie guide you don't want to create a recipe guide or a yoga guide it needs to be related to anxiety or whatever your niche is okay it needs to give them some sort of quick win or teach them something they didn't know before the truth is this is really going to be their first experience inside your business so you need to impress them because you want them to think wow if this is free then what is the paid stuff like right if you want to learn a little bit more about the types of freebies that will work for health and wellness coaches i have a video i'm going to look at the name it's called lead magnet examples for health coaches so i'll also link to that below this video if you want to check that out okay so you've come up with your freebie you've created it it looks awesome now you need to deliver it right and so this happens in the confirmation email and you've definitely gone through this process before right you've typed your name and email address into a form and then you've landed on a page that says hey awesome check your email gone to your email you've opened up an email and you've been able to download whatever that thing is right so this is the confirmation email and this is really the first step in the nurture process so this is essentially the confirmation email right so it's the first email that they receive after they have put all their information into the form now when it comes to the confirmation email it should really just be short and sweet right this isn't the time to write your whole life story to write a super long email this is just the time to just give them what you promised to give them right here it is you give them that download link and then you want to tell them what happens next are you going to send them a series of emails or can they expect to hear from you on a certain day of the week at a certain time how are you going to communicate with them moving forward that's really really important the other thing to keep in mind with this email is keep it very native looking and what i mean by that is don't actually include any images if there's too many images it can make your email provider think that it's spam or it can end up in gmail promotions and so images are fine later on when you have a more engaged following but for the first email because these people probably just met you they're just kind of coming into your business just exclude any emails keep it very unfancy very native it should just look like a basic email from a friend okay so this is where the options come in so there are two different ways you can go with this you can literally stop at the confirmation email or you can go through the entire email nurture sequence okay and so up until recently it was very common practice and kind of standard to actually have people go through a nurture sequence now i think i still believe in email nurture sequences i think they're really powerful the purpose being to warm people up to who you are your story your method why you do what you do and ultimately the program of which you want them to enroll in but developing an email nurture sequence takes a lot of time and i don't want you to procrastinate starting your list in any way shape or form i want you to make your freebie and get it out there immediately okay so while you are developing the email nurture sequence what you can do is just start with the confirmation email only okay but this is not enough to nurture people right this isn't enough just giving them the freebie they are probably not going to be ready to invest in what you have to offer so what you actually want to make sure you're doing is sending an email out every single week to your list even if it's tiny even if you just have five to ten people on that email list get into the habit of sending out a weekly email that is very specific to the problem that they have and the problem that you help them with and provides value so it can be a tip it could be a recipe it could be a story it could be a client testimonial it could be a lesson learned it could be you know something that you've learned that you think will help them whatever it is you want to make sure that they're excited and interested to open this email every time you send send it and that's really where the nurture process begins is in these weekly emails that are incredibly consistent and that they expect from you and so maybe you send them out every thursday at 8 a.m eastern or something like that try to keep it consistent and that's actually what you're going to tell them in your confirmation you'll or sorry your confirmation email you're going to say moving forward you can expect an email from me every thursday at 8 a.m eastern and this is what is going to be in it so make sure to keep your eyes open for that now every week might sound like a lot uh and so what might help you is to batch out emails right once a month write out four emails or if it's just too much right now maybe you still have a full-time job or a side hustle that's cool just commit to a lesser frequency so maybe do it every two weeks i would say the minimum is once a month but i would love for you to try to attempt to get to that one week or at least bi-weekly just so that you are you stay top of mind and people don't forget about you right okay so that is where you start that's option one and for some people that might be enough you can definitely test test this out um but the email nurture sequence can be very very very valuable and typically it depends but can be anywhere from maybe five to six emails to maybe 30 or more emails some people have really long nurture sequences that maybe last like two months or even more but for you i want you to keep it at about five to six emails okay so i'm gonna go through what should be in each of these emails so number one is obviously the confirmation email that we just talked about short to the point no images give them what you promised and tell them what is going to happen next email 2 is part 1 of your story right people are just getting to know you so they want to know a little bit more about you so tell your story in how it connects to what you're doing now so what i mean by that if you help women solve their anxiety then tell them about your story with anxiety most health coaches have a personal story with the problem that they had if you don't have a personal story like why did you become an anxiety coach right there must be some reason why you're so passionate about helping people with this maybe it was a family member maybe it was a child maybe it was just some experience that you witnessed whatever it is you want it to be relevant because what you're trying to show people is why you are so passionate about what you do right we're trying to make that connection okay so that's email number two but email number two is also your story it's your story part two now in any good story if we think about tv shows right things always end on a climax right before the commercial there's always something that makes you go like oh my god what's gonna happen next and then that actually makes you stick through the commercials because they're super annoying and watch the rest of the show same with the end of a show right it ends on a climax and then that's what makes you like oh my god i can't wait for the next episode so you want to do the same thing with your story right there's got to be some really compelling sort of climax moment in the story where you have this big aha moment or something crazy happened that is a perfect time to end the email on and you will tell the rest of the story in the next email basically you're enticing people to open the second email the rest of your story right and again at the end of the email be like in the next email that i'm gonna send to you maybe it's tomorrow maybe it's in two days however you have that frequency set up three days i'm gonna share the rest of my story and i'm gonna show you how this xyz happened right so we're just building intrigue so those are emails two and three two three uh which is your story the next thing we wanna do is we wanna do what's called aggravate the problem and surprise them right so we really wanna speak to the pain points so for sticking with this anxiety example we might be speaking to dating right it's really hard for you to get out and date because you're so anxious you have social anxiety you're afraid to leave your house you really want to start to aggravate the issue um and this isn't a mean thing we're not being really what we're doing is trying to show them that like this is a big problem right this is really interfering with their life because people really need to realize that something is a big ass problem before they actually take action to solve it and so what we're trying to do here is show them that like this is a big problem it's not normal but the surprise piece of that is that yeah there is a solution so this is where you show them that there's a solution but they need to be empowered to take responsibility of their own health right so aggravate speak to the pain points tell them it's not their fault that's what i should have mentioned earlier uh you know we don't want to shame people make them think that it's their fault but we do want them to be empowered to take personal responsibility for their health because they're not in a place of personal responsibility they can't change right so aggravate show them that it's a big problem tell them hey it's not your fault this information isn't readily available but guess what there is a solution and that's what i'm gonna be talking about in my next email so in two days i'm gonna send you an email this is the title look out for that in your inbox okay so email five is where we talk about the solution right we start talking about the way the things that they didn't know that they need to know in order to solve their problems so we go through and we talk about our approach right um and it's really great if you can weave your experience into this and just show them that like yeah like this is a problem it's really interfering with your life it's not your fault but this is the solution and these are the things that you need to consider if you want to see a resolution with this issue okay and then you're going to tell them about a really great client story that you have now if you're brand new if you don't have a client story you could use a mentor a friend you could use yourself again that works but you're basically going to say you're basically going to seed it in and say you know in next email i'm going to tell you about susie saw a 100 resolution in her anxiety by implementing this method okay and then that brings us to email number six which is the testimonial now if you have permission to share someone's at least first name and image put lots of images in that that can be really helpful if you don't have that right now that's cool but at some point i want you to get full permission from one of your clients who has gotten amazing results and i want you to tell that entire story in this email it's very very powerful and then finally what you're going to say is in the next email i'm going to show you how you can have the exact same experience as susie and that brings us to the final email which is the pitch okay and this is where you are selling them into something now for a lot of you this is going to be your sales call or your discovery call whatever you're calling that you're going to invite them to hop on a call with you to see if they are a good fit for your program if you have a group program or maybe some diy course or membership you're going to push them into that okay now in this email it's really important that you focus on benefit and solution it's really easy for us to want to talk about the features which is like the 60 minute consult the facebook group the email support whatever that is it's not very sexy and it doesn't really sell that stuff is important but make sure that when you talk about it you tell them why it's important and you really paint the picture for what their life could look like once they go through your program right so with anxiety you could say like you know imagine being able to walk into a party and feeling confident and not ending up hiding in the corner feeling incredibly awkward and just ghosting early because you know you feel so uncomfortable right so really talk about like what their life could look like once they solve their problem and of course the solution is your program now if you want to get my full nurture sequence swipe file with that
