welcome to the demonstration of netsuite ship Central in this video I'm going to demonstrate packing and shipping using netsuite's SCM mobile platform ship Central offers roles and dashboards applicable to packing and shipping administrators managers and operators in this case I will use the ship Central manager role so I can navigate and have permissions as needed I will be packing and shipping to sales orders both of which are going to the same customer and or in a pig status I will now access the netsuite mobile interface to perform the packing and shipping steps picture this as a tablet device that represents a packing or shipping station with a scanner I've already logged in with my standard netsuite username and password I'll select the ship Central module and drill into the proper location system configurability supports workflows for operators who do both the packing and the shipping as well as workloads where the Packer and the shipper are different operators in this case I'm going to demonstrate the role of somebody who can do both packing and shipping from the packing mobile workflow ship Central supports mobile packing and shipping of sales or transfer orders in a picked status regardless of how they were picked I'm going to pack and ship a sales order the systemic workflow would be the same for a transfer order I can select pack and ship orders from a specific bin or show everything that's ready to pack and ship I'll go ahead and display orders from all bin locations I can enter select or scan a transaction barcode to retrieve my first order in this case I'll type the order number and select the enter button on my keyboard you'll notice that when I enter or select one of my orders my second order is still available to pack and ship if an order is going to the same ship to address via the same shipping method and carrier I have the option to put both of them in the same shipping carton usually significantly reducing shipping costs so let's grab both of these and go ahead and ship them together if there are order specific packing instructions they can be included on the order and will display here in this case I'm Auto generating carton IDs to which I will track item quantity and lot or serial number detail this screen allows me to either scan a pick carton if netsuite Warehouse Management's in play an item UPC lot or serial barcode allowing me to validate the items I'm packing I can also bypass scanning altogether and select the pack button in any case the system tracks the details to the packing carton I will start with my NS II 1357 item by entering really scanning and selecting enter on the keyboard the system indicates I should not exceed 6 per carton since I only have five units I'll go ahead and add the five units to the carton upon doing so I will go ahead and pack the carton at which point I'm prompted to enter a carton weight note that this entry can be integrated with the weigh scale I will also select the carton size whose Dimensions will be used for calculating costs with the integrated shipping solution upon completion notice that I now have a closed carton now I'll add a second Garden to which I'll pack my lock controlled item once again I will enter or scan the item number at which point the system will prompt for the lot detail allowing me to track the exact lots and quantities packed to each carton I will confirm and enter the quantity pack the carton and again enter the carton weight and select the carton size I will pack the carton and move on to my final item this item is configured as a ship as is item meaning it doesn't require over packing since it's picked in the Box in which it will be shipped once again I'll enter or scan the item number upon prompt confirm and enter the quantity you'll notice I immediately get two more cartons on the right side without having to enter the carton weight in Dimensions now that I've packed everything on my fulfillments I'll hit the next button at which point I can either complete packing and ship later stage to a shipping area palletize the cartons I've packed or print itemized carton packing slips in this case I'll go ahead and go to shipping where I provided a summary of my packed cartons I see the current shipping cost based on the carrier and ship method selection on my sales orders to see if there are possible savings I'll shop for partial carrier rates of my Fedex rates I see that while FedEx home delivery gets it there a little sooner FedEx ground is cheaper let's assume in this case cost is more important than delivery date go ahead select FedEx ground and re-rate of course the system updates the shipping cost on my summary screen this point I'm ready to ship when I select the ship button the system goes through an address verification step I'll select the Matched address which as you can see really only differs in the postal code in this case then I'll process the shipment and print my shipping labels I provided a summary of the shipped Gardens with tracking and other relevant details labels print immediately to any local or network printer synchronized to netsuite let's take a quick peek in this case my printer is print to PDF labels are in the standard format of the selected parcel carrier if I go back into netsuite and refresh my sales order I'll see that it's in a pending billing status and that my items are in a fulfilled status upon accessing my related records and drilling into my item fulfillment I'll see that I have the packages I've produced in ship Central with the tracking number detail if I drill into my shipping sub tab I see my fulfillment level shipping cost distributed amongst my two fulfillments based on any or all of quantity price
