How to eSign a document: online signature legitimateness for Administration in European Union

hello everyone welcome back to my channel I'm Magda and today we're going to talk about jobs at European institutions so let's get started so first of all we're more or less you can work at European institutions what do you need basically there are always exceptions but yes there are like three main places in Europe where you can work it's Luxembourg where I live Brussels and Strasbourg so there are like three main and all of them have basically the office somewhere in each of the countries usually the capital however usually the offices are much smaller so it's much more difficult to find jobs there are also more specified and specific thing but also for example for European institutions uh let's get an example of European Parliament you will have the translators in Luxembourg then more political stuff in Brussels and strasbord for example for European Investment Bank or european investment fund you will have the headquarter in Luxembourg and everywhere else in the world the office is much smaller meaning sometimes even two three people other offices would be like 20 25 but that's the top even like Paris office I think is like 15 people so that's basically like let's say where you can work there are some offices that are outside of European Union but again there are much smaller much more difficult to get there and let's say it's not some place where you will be able to start your career now your career you can start most if not all European institutions as a trainee some European institutions get tons of trainees for example European Investment Bank European Parliament and uh European commission they get tons of trainees and tons I mean and quantity 30 60 per semester as I call it because they usually do two times a year the Recruitment and usually the traineeships are five six months so just so you know for most of the jobs you need to be European Union citizen so if you are not there are some exceptions but most of the times you have to be European Union citizen so that's something that you should be aware of then let's talk about something else than just trainees you will have different type of jobs from secretary administrative jobs to normal official or officer jobs as you they call them at European Investment Bank to temporary jobs intern jobs contract agents so we will deepen a little bit more right now I will share my screen with you so you can also read when I'm talking so you know I can comprehend that information a little bit more so let's check it out also this is the website where you can find all the jobs for European institutions I know most of them I'm sure eib and eif which are European Investment Bank and fund are not included maybe some others are also not included but mainly you can find them here also another thing for most of the jobs you have some requirements with like tests or exams or concurrency I don't know how it's in English actually like special example it's for the official job but sometimes just to not be an official you just need a test that show your skills and uh preliminally exactly so this is like the first website that you see you per your profiles you can decide where you exactly want to go but now first let's focus on this which is like how to apply and then what type of position you can get so you have different start stuff categories that will have different applications then as I mentioned you will need the episode exam where you can take a look more in deep to see what exactly you need and what is it and then also there is a cast exam which is allowing you to overall work at the European institutions instead of eib and eif probably esm as well but like yeah a few of them are excluded but let's talk about let's see the main one the big ones meaning Parliament Court of Auditors EAB Eis European commission court of justice maybe court of justice is not included on this website I'm not sure then what other European console then what else comes to my mind European Bank of uh ebrd of ah and development reconstruction media reconstruction I don't think so anyways there are many many more but let's say let's focus on the main ones and if you have the special case you can always ask me in the comments I can try to figure out or you can just Google it uh so permanent stuff and as you can see that's what I meant it's you will have to do the competition and problem competitions is that they are not often so they might not be some competition for one two three years you might be on the reservation list you may never get into that you may never like pass the competition so it's a little bit more tricky but once you get the competition and you get a job you're basically untouchable you will stay in your position as long as you want I would say most of the times so you must create the apps account you have several steps assessments and uh and yeah that's basically it contract stuff contract stuff it's a cost permanent and you will need the cost test which is like a tool that kind of element like examinates your abilities which is also again done on the epsil uh you will be in a cast database and that's basic so there are two different types of contract agents you can be cast permanent and then you're gonna be more or less the same as this is not exactly the same but like more similar to what you can do and then you will have ad hoc vacancies that will be short term I mean short term fixed term contracts for the specific position and they are based on the application deadline so anybody can apply that temporary stuff temporary stuff is usually a replacement of the official so that means that the job is fixed term usually short term so I would say six 12 months if you're super lucky maybe 18 and it's temporary again and it's not that easy to get it either then there's a second donation experts there are currently no jobs open for this position so you can just read it through and then the others which are like interim contracts which are again temporary based contracts for a fixture amount and they are made by external agencies and entering contracts also exist at EAB but about the ABN eif we'll look up a little bit later so Run start start people and then yeah you have other options for like other stuff but that's basic basic information no searching the job so you will have the website divided into three parts I mean three can be five but like today it's free you will have contract agent selection tool we discussed uh know that like for the application it's a permanent job you will have them permanent officials and then you will have contract stuff and then you will have the temporary stuff so you can see that there are some options opened and here you can decide where you want to work what location you want to be in what institution you're interested in what grade and type of the contract so let's say I live in Luxembourg let me to Luxembourg and let it be the only criteria after which I search for example permanent official only one job very very high 8014 director level contract staff officer let's say medium like not entry level but a little bit more senior than entry oh it's actually eif I'm very surprised yeah it was included then you will have temporary stuff and this is let's say the most eligible stuff for now in Luxembourg but you can see court of justice European high performance Computing joint undertaking I've never even heard of that place translation center for the bodies of the European Union the Investment Bank European commission let's check out Brussels because that's another place that will be very popular to get the job at European institution so cast I.T officer in uh then there is a permanent officials director or head of unit in European commission or Council of European Union then the contract staff and Cena European external Action Service and Joint Research Center and then you will have few more temporary stuff so you can look at it through as well so there are many more positions in Brussels and here you will have positions as well in a second donation experts so that's also an option for you but for example I am from Poland I want to apply in Poland or so Poland search and you see there are only two options from which both of them are relatively High one is the head of unit another one is uh Human Resources specialist so let's say not that easy already but Poland okay far away Paris is another place that's quite popular as well so you can see Paris again uh European banking Authority euiss asthma yeah asthma is actually super popular in Paris because I think it has headquarter in Paris then let's check another one Madrid you're Spanish you want to work in your country what are the options no options so you already see that it's not that easy peasy to find it outside but let's uh look at Vienna maybe Vienna has something to offer neither Rome not as well so you can see there are ways to find a job but like let's clear the filter any search and we're back again at the website and then when you open like the position let's open for example person from cast position so it officer you will be here it will tell you great where is it whatever then you have to go to the website uh all that they put the link to the vacancy and then when it loads you're going to be able to see the full description of the position salary range in some cases about salaries I'm going to talk next week so if you're interested in salaries at European institutions be sure that you're going to watch the next week's video next Sunday but yeah they always put the interview period they always put what is like not always but usually you know what tests you may need the descriptions are quite nice as well so it's something that you can take a look at and now we move to Europe Investment Bank as I mentioned earlier I used to work at European Investment Bank as a trainee so for sure I'm a little bit more knowledgeable about European Investment Bank than others my friends work in Parliament and court of justice and I have one or more friend at quarter Auditors but at the IB you know I have a little bit more knowledge so feel free to ask any questions and comments about any of the institutions but for sure with the ab I will feel much more comfortable for eib you go just to the AP website or you put eib careers and then you will have division between European Investment Bank and European investment fund you will have different type of jobs different locations but usually as I said Luxembourg will be winning all of them for trainees you will have many locations at least not a piece but like usually one trainee per location like for half of the location per semester and then another half of the locations would have another semester not all the locations would have trainees but like let's say there are some possibilities locks and break definitely a place to start your career if you're very interested in working at European Investment Bank you should apply only to Luxembourg in my opinion as a train you can apply on it for three jobs about other jobs I'm pretty sure you have unlimited applications you can do so internships meaning traineeships managers and professional administrative graduate non-value whatever it means then you have division for job categories and you have the patient for the business unit which is either eib or eif but let's take a look at associate officer liquidity planning and control you will have the job description slide description of which directory you will work in then you will have your grade then you will have when the interviews will happen the purpose of your job the operating Network accountability so what will you do your qualifications and just so you know for training you don't need any experience you just need to be either graduate or graduating for The Graduate job you need at most two years of professional experience so that's something that it's let's say important part of this and then for the officer so this type of job you need at least three years of relevant experience which is only professional experience usually traineeships not included and then for higher jobs you need additional experience it will always be said exactly what you need and unfortunately with aib you would have to be really really the best candidate ever and they have no candidates that they would get your officer job without three years of experience because I know graduates who are three three and a half four years graduate and they become officers never before it's impossible usually people become officers after three and a half four years now they change a little bit the course of action at DAV so now there are no more graduates there are young professionals or Junior professionals something like this and they get three-year contract graduates used to get one year contract one and a half or two year contract Sound by three if you would be super lucky uh but most of the times that European institutions unless you're a permanent permanent you will get the fixer contract at the IB mostly and you will get the contract lower the greatest shorter the country so trainees five months graduate it used to be starting one two three years now they are young professional or Junior professionals that are three-year contract and then uh officer contract I'm pretty sure they are for your contract maybe they say it's somewhere here um I don't see it but I'm if my memory doesn't fail me it should be uh for your contract so this is the information and yeah and that's basically what you need to know about working in European institutions if you have any questions let me know in the comments down below I wish you a lot of luck if you're applying it's not easy to get so don't give up if your plan is to work at European institutions you will do it one day just study hard work hard make an application amazing be sure as well that you will comply with what they want for EAB you can have any CB for most of the European institutions you need Eurostar ever star CV which is definitely different CD for some of them you need motivational letter and if they require it usually put it they they actually may change course of action but yeah I have another video about traineeships at European institutions you can check them out and then also I have a video about motivational letters to Parliament I will link them down below and then as well some of them at the end of the video so yeah if you enjoyed this video and you think that information was helpful I would be very happy if you would hit the like button that helps me a lot with the YouTube algorithm video with reach more people and if you haven't subscribed yet subscribe to my channel I talk a lot about life and maximum European institutions jobs expenses and overall after graduating life so if you enjoy this type of topics and you don't want to miss any of my future videos subscribe to my channel and here I'll leave you the video about how to write a motivational letter for Parliament and the EU institutions playlist thank you for watching have a nice day and I'll see you in another video foreign [Music]
