How to eSign a document: online signature legitimateness for Management in Mexico
if you're thinking of traveling to mexico for fun or for forever you might at some point need to make an appointment at your local mexican consulate office and in this video i'll walk you through all the steps of navigating the mexican government's website to actually make the appointment at the consulate and at the end of the video as a bonus i'll give you some tips for your actual appointment day so stick around to the end for that before we get started if you're new here consider subscribing because the goal with this channel is to help with all things mexico after moving to mexico ourselves and having to figure everything out on our own my husband and i now try to make things in mexico sound not so foreign to foreigners who may be living in mexico so stick with us jumping straight in what is a consulate and why may i even need an appointment there well consulates to put simply are like many offices for a particular nation's embassy in that country and mexican consulates generally offer about five types of appointments relevant to foreigners and natives abroad that's visa appointments civil registry appointments passport appointments e appointments and public notary appointments some offices may offer more appointments and services and some offices may offer less it just depends on your particular office but let's show you how to make these appointments first go to we open our web browser and we go to the website sitas.sre.gob.mx i'll put it up on the screen for you and i usually use either safari or chrome because they both have the option to translate into english but for the purpose of this video i will be using safari so opening up the website you can see here in the upper right hand corner that you can change the language you can change it to any of these six languages i will click english which it's already in and then you'll log in if you don't have a account you will have to create an account so i will click this here and of course all the fields will be in english but the drop downs as you'll see will be in spanish still but i'll walk you through it so the first format or the first field sorry is services and once you click that they give you two territorio i believe the first one is for embassies but you want a consulate appointment so you'll click officinas consolares so next you go to the country and the country here is where you uh your local consulate is your closest one or your preferred it won't matter in the end and we'll show you more of that in the video but for here i will click the united states and because the drop down is in in spanish the united states is estados unidos de america the state you can select whichever state you want i already have an account so i'll select random state i will select illinois and then just click randomly one of the default offices i'll click chicago and then country of birth self-explanatory also united states i would say estado unidos de america and nationality if you're from the united states your nationality will be estado so i will click them and the name is a little interesting the name here of course your first name i'll put my first name aaliyah and then the last name you'll see there's a section for father's last name and a section for mother's last name but only the father's last name is required for this i would just put whatever your legal last name is because that's what it will show up as so whether you're married whether you know your father's last name or your mother's last name or have it or not i just put whatever your legal last name is in this field and not worry about the mother's last name so i will make up a random one what will i call it my last name will be brown okay and then i will leave mother's last name blank and then for the primary telephone number you have to if it's a united states phone number you have to scroll down all the way so that country code will come in here it is united states which is a country code of plus one then i will enter in a random phone number there we go and then i don't have any alternate telephone number email address i will do brown at gmail.com and then the password the note with the password here is the password must be between 12 and 45 characters long have at least one number one uppercase one lowercase and one non-alphanumeric character so whatever password you may like and if you want to make sure your passwords match you just click there and it'll see they both mapped and then you'll click register i won't click register because i already have an account but once you register a screen will pop up and it will let you know that you've successfully registered they will then shoot you an email where you can validate or verify your email and then after you verify email you'll be able to log in okay so i'll go back to this main page and i will log in with my email and i will say with this one so if you do if you type your email in with all lower case it is case sensitive so you can't have a capital letter when you type it in again it has to be exactly as you typed it in once you registered so once you have all that you then click that you've acknowledged the terms and conditions and then they'll pop up in english or spanish then the blue box is checked and then you hit start it will then log you in and it will give you this information confirmation [Music] i then exit out of it you'll see here that i have two appointments scheduled one at the office in miami for a passport uh consular registration or ina and then one in chicago for temporary residency visa i just did that because i was testing the system earlier to make sure i'd be able to make more than one appointment for this particular video but i will now show you how to schedule it so you go to schedule here and you click it this pops and then it depends on the country that you want it in for i'll show you the example with two different ones in the united states but i'll also show you that it doesn't necessarily have to be in the united states let's say you wanted to or you were traveling and you were maybe in spain let's type in espana let's see we can make an appointment for espana let's see maybe madrid let's see oh perfect we'll make one from madrid and they have one consular office and let's say i just wanted to make a passport appointment let's see you see available procedures and you make a passport so then you would just select it and you continue with the prompts that i'll show you or if you wanted to make an appointment let's say in china and hong kong let's say china [Music] hong kong and let's say you wanted to make they only have one console office there so let's see what procedures let's say you just wanted to make a visa appointment that will be how you would do that and you would continue with the separatist but back to where we are let's say back to the united states let's make an appointment for maybe let's make an appointment for a visa in orlando so let's type in the zip code 32804 you type in whatever zip code is closest to you which one you prefer and then you just search and you just click the first one because they all will pop up if it has more than one so then here you see in orlando they have three particular consulate offices in that location and when it has more than one location i'd say the most important thing to look at is the services offered there or available procedures this third bullet point and if you just click view more you'll see what they offer so this for this right one offers just passport consular registration and ena appointments so let's say we want a visa so we don't we don't want that one this middle one offers the same thing passport consular registration and e-nay we don't want that one this first one or the far left one on the screen oh they do registrative visas in public notary appointments so we want visa so we will select that one so now that that one select this one office confirmation confirming so then we don't have a court we're trying to get a visa to potentially get one so we will agrar manumente so type it in manually so this is where you type in your name again so i'll type in aaliyah brown that's not my last name by the way brown if you have a second last name feel free to put that in date of birth let's see when do i want to be born i will be born i feel like 80s were a good year i'm born in 80 let's say july 15 1980. my sex will be feminine my nationality would be estado nidensei because i'm from the united states my marital status is meaning married do i desire to put my last name on the document my merry last name i'll say no because brown would presumably be my married last name so i'll say no there but if you do say yes they will then give you a slot that you can put your merry last name in but i'll say no because that is my last name so then the country of birth is also united states so unidos today province let's just say illinois let's see candado or county i will be born in brown county beautiful and city you don't have to put there's not a province or asterisk there to be required so have i registered for a passport or a consular registration previously i will say no i will say verify it will then tell me that they don't have any registrations for a person and i can continue with my appointment so then i will click continue there we go so then select the kind of dramite that you would want we are going for visa and as you'll see in the top right hand corner you have about an hour to make the appointment which is more than enough time so you won't be pressed for time at all you can even take your time if you want so once you do that let's see maybe oh there you have it sorry the type of dramite so we clicked visas so which one we want sin permisso so what kind of visa do we want do we want a temporary resident permanent resident let's say we want temporary resident let's click that and then we will click continue so naturalize now there both of these will be checked automatically do you have any disabilities that require assistance no let's hit continue so next you'll do the country again they'll ask you for your country there will be presumably only one drop down which is the united states i will collect or put that in the postal code and then i will put the one for orlando which is three two eight zero four and then it'll type it in it'll say the province is florida it will type in the county which is orange and the colonia orlando and a direction my address in orlando florida will be one two three brown street okay and then in the case of an emergency they will also ask for an emergency contact i assume if something happens at the office and they need to contact someone let's say first name you can contact is mr and the last name is brown no second very last name his email is not necessary but his phone number is let's say he also has a united states number we'll drop down here that would be his number and he doesn't have a secondary one is it the same direction or the same address as the person who's applying so yes so there so then we'll click continue so it says regrettably spaces in this appointment has been finished for the moment so maybe look for a different one that's available so we'll say except we'll see if they have any availability so this is for the month of july let's go over to the month of august so now we see green means high availability yellow means some availability and orange is without availability so we see two days with yellow so i will click august 23rd so let's select that day and there's an 8 a.m available for my appointment so tuesday the 23rd of august i will click 8 am and then next you just hit book so it will think it will think and then that is it now i have an appointment for 8 am on the 23rd of august 2022 in orlando florida then you just finalize the appointment and you will see it is now added to my two other appointments and i'll cancel after this video but so now i have that one that's how i would make a visa appointment for temporary residency at orlando florida and it will be the same wherever you go so you would follow the same project process you would just schedule the appointment set up the office and continue with there and then after that you will be all set to go that's how you make an appointment with your preferred mexican consulate office abroad my advice to you for whichever appointment you may need is to one on the appointment they have everything you need and then some definitely be over prepared if you can have all the documents you may need ready with at least maybe two or three photocopies just in case and if you're not sure which documents you need or if you have the right documents for the appointment double check with the consulate's website or maybe even try contacting the consulate office themselves whether it's going in person prior to your appointment giving them a call shooting them an email to make some kind of contact if you can and i've also included a link to find all the 67 mexican consulates around the world in the description portion of the video below as well as the addresses and phone numbers to all the consulates located in the u.s territory and two i'd also say your appointment is for start time how long it may take can vary it could take one hour could take four it could start on time it could take a little bit just be flexible and have a little flexibility in your schedule also be patient with yourself as well as the mexican official you may deal with that day but more importantly just have fun enjoy the process i hope this video was helpful but nonetheless see you soon
