hi everybody this is Miss Cox and today I want to show you how to finish your Amazon receipt in your spreadsheet so first off you should have your basic spreadsheet done you're probably at this point just filling in this information here so you need to come up with seven items total there can be any items on Amazon as long as they're school appropriate and then you're going to be pasting in the product link and the unit cost so I'm going to go to Amazon and I'm going to look up Captain Crunch because I love Captain Crunch yes I know it's a little silly but I like Captain Crunch now here is Captain Crunch berries those are my favorite so I'm going to say I want this to be one of my items I'm going to copy the title and paste it over here now I'm going to copy the link up here and paste it and remember when this happens when you paste it in it kind of messes up all your formatting because there's so much text so what we do to fix that is go up here to the wrap text button and basically we're unchecking that so it doesn't wrap it that it will just cut it off and then the next is oh and by the way it doesn't really just cut it off if you look up here that whole link is still in the cell it just doesn't show except up here in the formula bar now unit cost for this was 1626 1626 okay now you're going to go through and finish this but I do want to show you a couple of Tricks one dates and times can be formatted many different ways in a spreadsheet and up here you'll see there's different tools for formatting things so if you click on a cell you want to change the format of the numbers in and then go up here well I want this to be a time and there's times down here there's also more options here I want it to have the time with PM or am at the end and there we go now it looks like I want it to the date maybe you don't want the date to look like this maybe you want the date to let's go to different date formats we could have the date like this or um could have it be like this that's kind of cool have the month in there so you can format numbers all sorts of different ways for this spreadsheet you need to make sure you format your date um like this I'd like for you to practice formatting it like this and the time formatted like this now here in the unit cost column these are all uh these are all amounts of money so over here we're going to go to format as currency and it will automatically make that formatted like money there's also percents here if you're using percents and then there's also formats in here so you can actually go to currency in here as well and if you're in a different country there's all sorts of different currencies that you could add to so keep in mind if you ever need to change the formatting of your numbers the formatting tools for numbers are right up here and the thing to think about is with a spreadsheet it will try to automatically format your numbers the way it thinks you want them to be formatted which is not always the way you actually want them to be formatted so it's okay if your numbers don't look quite right when you first type them in you can always go up here and change the formatting of your numbers to whatever you would like with that you need to finish your Amazon receipt you should fill in this whole section here with your seven items product links and unit costs make sure you formatted it and you have all the coloring set right um and then move on to the next step thank you for watching
