well the senate finally passed another stimulus package this is great news the house of representatives passed it now the senate has passed it it's going to go back to the house and then president biden will finally sign this into law and then we'll start to get more payments out to everybody and get checks in the hands of people fairly quickly this plan will get checks out the door starting this month to the american people so desperately need to help many of whom are lying in bed at night staring at the ceiling wondering will i lose my job if i haven't already will i lose my insurance will i lose my home over 85 percent of american households will get direct payments of 1 400 per person for a typical middle class family of four husband and wife working making a hundred thousand dollars a year total with three kids they'll get fifty six hundred dollar i mean with two kids we get fifty six hundred dollars and it'll be on the way soon that means the mortgage can get paid that means the child can stay in community college that means maintaining the health insurance you have it's going to make a big difference in so many lives in this country unemployment benefits will be extended for 11 million americans who've lost their jobs who last night again were lying in bed thinking my lord i'm going to lose my unemployment insurance in a week or so was about to expire schools are going to have the resources needed to open safely states and local governments that have lost tens of thousands of essential workers will have the resources they need available to them to those laid off police officers firefighters teachers and nurses they can re-hire there are these are essential personnel look the american rescue plan lowers health care premiums food nutrition assistance it's hard to believe that 24 million adults and 11 million children as i speak in the united states suffer from food insecurity that means simply they don't have enough food to eat did you ever imagine in the united states of america you'd see lines literally miles long kids folks in their automobiles waiting for a box of food to be put in their trunk i stood in line handing out food the people coming up never ever ever thought they'd be in that position this helps families who are behind in their rent their mortgage payments so they aren't thrown out of their homes look the bottom line is this this plan puts us on a path to beating the virus this plan gives those families who are struggling the most the help and the breathing room they need to get through this moment this plan gives small businesses in this country a fighting chance to survive and one more thing this plan is historic taken all together this plan is going to make it possible to cut child poverty in half let me say it again a significant historic will cut child poverty in half so this new american relief package is something that president biden has been working on for the last month and a half and finally he got through the senate the democrats took over the senate uh back in last you know back in january and they took over the senate so they're able to pass these bills without any republican not really any republican support at all over the past we've had mitch mcconnell who was in charge of the senate he was pushing out any type of stimulus package so it's nice to see that finally they can get something moving forward and get something out the door now right now everybody's going to be getting 1400 payments this is going to be on top of if you got a 600 payment you would automatically be getting this if you got a 1200 payment back in march you're automatically eligible to get this now some people have had 2019 was a pretty good year then 2020 was not a very good year so those that didn't have a very good year in 2020 and you fall below these qualifications you want to definitely get in your filings before this checks get approved so right now you have 75 000 adjusted gross income for individuals anybody less than that will automatically be getting that new stimulus package also for jointly married couples 150 000 will also be eligible for that uh 50 they would get 2 800 as a married couple they are cutting this off though at 80 000 uh individual if you make more than that just growth income you will not be eligible for this new stimulus and then married couples 160 000 anything more than that you will not be eligible for any type of a stimulus moving forward now the great thing is about this is which i really like is that the dependents are also going to be getting the same amount so fourteen hundred dollars for dependents and this includes adult dependence this time this is totally new before it was anybody independent under the age of 16 would get a stimulus and it wasn't even a full stimulus back in march of last year everybody got a 1200 payment but all the dependents got a 500 check for that now everybody in the household whether it could be a parent it could be grandparent aunts uncles college students they're they're going to be eligible for a uh 1 400 payment for all the dependents which is great news so if you if you did get your filings in for 2020 and you added some dependents in there they're going to be included for that fourteen hundred hundred dollar payment they're going to deposit that money directly into your bank account so i encourage you try to find a bank account you can online to set that up they'll give you a rowdy number and an account number just the checks when they print the checks and they mail them out it just takes a lot longer and even the eip debit cards that they're sending out those even take even longer so i always try to encourage people to try to get a bank account if you can set up also the unemployment benefits they were going to try to bump this up to 400 but that was something they couldn't get done so ultimately they voted on to get a they're going to extend the federal unemployment out and it's going to be to continue on with the 300 per week now the average weekly state check is 346 dollars so if you have a state and a federal check that's over 600 per month that you'd be getting as unemployment insurance and that would be great for a lot of people especially those people that got hit hard the hardest in those states that were forcing businesses to completely shut down and not operate at a hundred percent so that's it's good news for that i personally think that anybody that filed for unemployment should be getting a stimulus check no matter what the qualifications are if you're filing for unemployment you should be getting a stimulus payment those are the people that need the stimulus payments the most obviously if you have a job you're employed and you're constantly getting your income coming in then maybe you don't need a stimulus payment now yes i get it people need the stimulus and it would help but a lot of those people aren't even working and they have no option they have no option to go down the street to find another business they're forced to move out of town i mean a lot of people have to move out of those states in order to go find some type of employment at other states in the area so they're you know once you get your stimulus check in this article they're trying to recommend putting your money into a savings account i don't recommend you putting money into a savings account if you can if you want to invest in this what i highly suggest you doing is going and finding a local coin dealer in your area take that money and put it into his if you want to put in savings account buy some gold coins or buy some silver it's going to be a better savings than putting into a bank banks are going to they're not going to give you any type of return so if you can get it into some type of gold and silver that that would be great way to spend your stimulus obviously people have to spend it on you know if they spend it on groceries and things like that but if you can't if you don't have to spend that money try to find some gold coins silver coins it'll pay off for you in the long run for sure there's also going to be rental assistance so one in five renters say they're not even caught up on the rent for january you're going to have to apply for this in order to get this assistance but they do have 25 billion in rental assistance from the stimulus package that was back in december and they're going to be adding another 20 billion dollars in relief to people that are having rental issues and this is going to be allow you to either get caught up or it's also going to have some things in there where you can actually take the money and spend it on utilities and other bills like that so this is something you have to apply for to get to get some of that that federal money uh so you can help uh with your rent and things like that so you want to i think you want to get with your accountant on this to find out how you can file and get that information in there to get that money coming out also there's going to be um food benefits so there's going to be 15 uh increase by 50 for all recipients until june so any type of those you know those i guess is the food stamp programs that's going to help people increase their benefits from that also so there's a lot of good stuff in this plan there is a lot of paycheck protection program money available so if you do have a business reach out to sba.gov or even go to your local banks they'll have information on the paycheck protection program money and that's going to be definitely helpful for a lot of these struggling businesses and a lot of these families that work with these businesses also there's going to be 170 billion dollars for college or schools to reopen help them at least get open it up safely and then they can allow those teachers to continue to get to get paid and i don't think they're going to lay off any teachers during this time so that's good news for a lot of those teachers so now that it passed through the senate it's got to go back to the house representatives they're going to vote on it this week and they're going to president's desk i'm guessing by the end of this week finally they've been dragging this thing on and finally get president biden to sign this once they sign it then treasury will start to deposit the money into people's accounts i know back in december president trump signed it on its sunday by that wednesday or thursday they're already starting to deposit money into people's accounts so that's how quickly they can get this done again the checks are probably a couple weeks out the eip cards are going to be probably another month out for this check so you know there's nothing nothing you can do i guess if you're obviously getting aip cards you're going to check you just kind of wait for it but if you can try to you know change that up try to get that deposit information in there that's the easiest way to get money into those account do make sure if you do find an online bank or if you go to a bank online that it is fdic insured you always want to check that if it's not then you probably should stay away from it because there's a ton of other banks out there also a lot of local banks they have ways to sign up online and you can get a payment get a routing number and an account number set up fairly quickly and so it looks good for as far as payment to get this this done i do think there's going to be stimulus check number four even stimulus check number five down the road that's why it's like you got to get that bank account set up so they can deposit that money right in your account and i think they're even going to talk about this reoccurring payment to everybody i don't know how they're going to do that i don't know how that's going to be set up but there's talking about some type of reoccurring payment going out to everybody they're saying hey during this pandemic while the pandemic is going on let's get a recurrent payment to everybody i i tend to agree with that i think if they these city i think some of these states they should have said hey we're gonna force you guys to shut down and then but we're gonna also support you guys uh with some type of reoccurring payment that would have been helpful i think that would have saved a ton of people from uh you know going homeless i think a lot of homeless problems wouldn't been you know been eased up from that but again that's something that congress is going to try to do in the future and hopefully maybe they can get some type of recurring payment in the future moving forward if you have any questions ask those questions in the comments below this
