let's keep the series going you know my linkedin likes hi I'm Lynn brown with learn it to earn it with Len calm I want to show you something that I think that you can add to your LinkedIn profile right away and make it stand out and also make it more effective for your visitors when they come to your LinkedIn profile and we all want that right so let's take a quick look so here we are at your LinkedIn homepage people have been asking me about something that they have seen on my profile and i want to show you that what it is it's called SlideShare right here this is where i have uploaded a powerpoint presentation and to youtube videos people are asking me how do i get that on my linkedin profile let me show you on your navigation bar up at the top under the more tab you're going to find applications now here's the list of applications that i have on my LinkedIn profile right now but if you don't have the SlideShare presentation application then what you can do is go to the get more applications and click on that this will bring you to this page on linkedin and you scroll down these are all the applications that linked and provides you so scroll down and you find SlideShare give that a click and then you come into the applications page for SlideShare this is kind of like a tearaway sheet that shows you what you're going to expect when you upload this application now I can already go to my application because I've already installed this if you scroll down there's going to be a button instead of update settings because mine is already installed there's going to be another button that says install this application now notice here these two checkboxes display on my profile and display on linkedin homepage I suggest that you leave those checked because the whole idea is to let your visitors see these presentations so once you've installed the application then this is what is going to look like this is my SlideShare application these are the presentations that i have uploaded again this is my powerpoint presentation and my youtube videos you can go in and edit the information you can give it a title tags a description and then you can update of course this would say upload but then you can go back in and edit it and then you would update it then once you have done that you're going to need to link your SlideShare account now again I've already done this so it should look like this after you have linked your account to LinkedIn so this is another link that you can share with you know followers your fans your clients put them in emails and that sort of thing and then when you're done then you can check it out on your profile to make sure that your presentations are showing up under your SlideShare presentations application on your profile on LinkedIn so now you're ready to add SlideShare application to your LinkedIn profile and do me a favor leave your comments below let me know if this was a helpful tip and if you're going to be adding SlideShare to your LinkedIn profile if you already have a SlideShare on your LinkedIn profile let us know about that too and how it's working for you I'm going to be sharing some more linkedin likes with you real soon so stay tuned and make it a successful day
