[Music] moving money is easy with pay it now you can send money to other people or move funds from your credit union account to your account at another financial institution it's fast easy and secure in this video we're going to send money from my credit union account to my account at another financial institution this is called an a2a or account to account transaction keep in mind that when you're moving money between accounts the destination account needs to be yours and not someone else's the first step is to enroll in online banking if you haven't already done so i'm using the app for this video you can download our mobile app for either your android or iphone once you've done that you're ready to move funds to one of your external accounts let's get started in your smartphone open your oregon state credit union app log into your account and click the more tab on the lower right hand side of your screen at the very top you'll see the words pay it now click that to send money to your external account you'll first need to link your oregon state credit union account to your other account in the navigation here click add next to external accounts now enter the routing and account numbers here click the check box next to the terms and conditions and then click save to protect your accounts we'll need to validate that the external account belongs to you this process can take a couple of days you'll receive an email notification that two small transactions each under a dollar have been sent to the external account be sure to review the email address you have in online banking to make sure you're using a current email address we're now going to validate these two transactions to confirm the money is going to the correct account at the top of your screen click the drop down arrow next to transfer send money and click manage accounts or personal payees you'll see a screen where you need to enter the two deposit amounts go to your external account and note the exact amounts of the two small deposits for example in my external savings account i noticed a deposit from oregon state credit union of 13 cents and a deposit of 5 cents the 5 cents came in first so i want to put that in the first column the 13 cents came in second so i need to put that amount in the second field be sure to enter the right amount in the corresponding section first to first second to second again the trick is to have the first deposit amount in the first section and the second deposit in the second section click activate now that you've validated the external account is yours the next time you log in to use pay it now it will be super simple to send money here's how once you're back in the pay it now screen click on the down arrow on the right end of the two line to add your newly connected external account set the date you want to transfer the money you'll see an estimated delivery time so you'll know when to expect the money to appear in your account now add the amount of money you want to send for this example i'm just sending one dollar i only want to send this payment once but if you'd like to have it reoccur you can specify that here then push transfer you'll notice that your transfer is scheduled on the date that you specified it's that easy remember this feature in pay it now can take up to three days so be sure to have enough funds in your account during that time pay it now is a safe easy way to skip the trip to a branch check out our other online solutions found on our website by clicking the more tab again and selecting visit website under the contact us section on the upper right hand side of the website click this and select the drop down arrow under the online services section and here you'll find ways to deposit a check using your smartphone text banking paying your loan bill with a debit card setting card controls for your debit and credit cards and more learn more on our website at oregonstatecu.com thank you for watching you
