As a student, I loved a curve. I had an economics teacher in university who gave 5 40 point tests for each class, and had three sections.The top score was curved to 100%. First semester I had him, people averaged 35–37 as the top score. I got the three sections top performers together, and we all studied together.I ended up not even going to class, and was able to test well, consistently in the 33–36 range with 34–38 being the top mark. It was awesome.The next semester I had him, it was more of the same. This time I started early though, and set the curve a few times. By knowing I didn’t have to get a 36 to get an A, it encouraged me to start a study group with the top people, because I didn’t have to beat the professor, just the top students.Another professor gave a final exam to 8 of us that was curved in a high level math course. We all agreed to just sign our names and turn it in blank, and he honored his word and gave us all perfects. The next semester all his syllabi contained verbiage that a curved test would not go below boosting a 75% to a top mark.As a teacher, it saves the class if you overestimate the learners ability. His name is Jarl.I keep my name of Alexander Jackson.It soon becomes obvious in my job search that, by Star Wars standards, I’m basically retarded. It’s not enough that I have no marketable skills, but I don’t even know how to READ!Jarl is quickly becoming one of the kindest people I’ve ever met. He lets me stay at his house since I don’t have a place of my own. My training begins, not with the Force, or with combat, but with learning basic language, arithmetic, and electrical skills.(background music)Jarl manages to find a small school for the mentally disabled (it was the only thing he could find, and regular elementary schools logically won’t take on a grown man to teach). For several months, I pour myself into my studies. I learn how to read and write, do Star Wars style mathematics, and I even gain some electrical skills. At home, Jarl takes the time to patiently tutor me further. The two of us become close friends. On our days off he takes me on tours of the city, introduces me to his alien friends, all kinds of strange foods, customs, and cultures.I learn that Jarl is an avid supporter of the Galactic Republic. He’s a bit on the fence about the Jedi, as is everyone else in the city, but he figures that if it weren’t for them, the Separatists would have overrun the galaxy by now.Eventually, I have enough skill to get a job. Jarl vouches for me at the station, and I get a job as a small time beat cop (after the appropriate training). I learn to properly use a blaster, and am given standard police armor and pay. I end up walking the same patrol as Jarl.Eventually, I save enough money to purchase my own apartment (right across the hall from Jarl; he insisted (his race is very protective of their friends)).This is the moment I was waiting for.During the nights, when I’m sure no one will disturb me, I signNow out with my mind and try to connect to the Force. At first, it’s a lot harder than I’d imagined. I assumed that, because of my prior knowledge of the force, that it would be easy to utilize at will. But it isn’t. At first I struggle to lift even a cup, let alone bring it to me. However, I enact my own special system of training.Each night I have off is spent in a meditative position. I lift as many objects in my room as I can with the force and I hold them as long as I can. When it becomes easy for me to do, I move to heavier and heavier objects. Eventually I can lift everything in my apartment and move it around with ease and precision.I also take care to learn everything I can about piloting a ship, and I hone my electrical skills for the days that are soon to come.My newfound abilities come in handy when I’m on patrol, and I take every opportunity to secretly explore my force abilities whenever possible. I’m able to use the force to run faster, jump higher and farther than I ever dreamed possible. Catching criminals is a breeze when they suddenly “trip” and fall. Suspects under interrogation suddenly spill all of their secrets at a mere word from me. Criminals pointing their guns at me or Jarl suddenly become clumsy and “drop” their weapons. With my help, our town becomes one of the safest and crime-free areas on the entire planet.I quickly gain a reputation around the office, earning the nickname “Lucky”. I often go into other districts to assist other precincts with their problems, and with my ever-increasing command of the force, I’m able to sense emotions from greater and greater distances, making assassination attempts all but impossible. My supernatural reflexes keep me safe from ambush attacks.Jarl becomes angry with me. Not from jealousy of my success, but because he knows I’m hiding something from him. No rookie could help clean up a town so thoroughly in such a short amount of time. Criminals aren’t so lead-footed that they trip over themselves, and they certainly don’t have loose tongues. He constantly presses me to tell him, but I evade his inquiries, only strengthening his suspicion. I don’t want him to fear me because of my powers, or hate me when the Jedi are destroyed.One day, Jarl and I are tipped off about a group of outlaws in town. We go to investigate, but are ambushed by the outlaws. I’m able to dodge and get to cover, but Jarl is hit. In a rage, I unleash a force shockwave that blasts everyone across the room, knocking them all unconscious.We apprehend the outlaws, and I discover that one of them left behind a cortosis vibrosword, but it needs to be placed in the evidence locker. Jarl is furious with me. “WHY DIDN’T YOU TELL ME YOU WERE A JEDI!?” he screams.I try to explain that I’m not a Jedi, but he won’t hear it. He refuses to speak to me and even moves into another apartment complex. Our friendship is firmly over.Around this time, the Jedi temple is destroyed. It’s the beginning of the age of darkness for the galaxy. The beginnings of rebellion begin to spark all over the galaxy.The other officers in the precinct look at me with suspicion. I’ve told them that I’m not a Jedi, but obviously it’s not a very convincing story when I’m able to use the force.Jarl is completely on the side of the new Empire.I can see where things are going. Jarl thinks I haven’t realized, but I’ve felt the shift in his emotions and the emotions of the other officers. They’re going to turn me in to the Stormtroopers.I sneak into the evidence locker and take my pick from the various items that we’ve obtained over the last few months;a pair of mandalorian blaster pistols from an illegal arms deal,a cortosis vibrosword,a thermal detonator,keys to a seized ship, and a bit of armor.Jarl confronts me as I leave. I can sense the fear from the other officers, can feel their grips tighten around the handles of their blasters. I don’t want to fight. These men have become my friends. But if I have to, I will.I try to use the force to nudge Jarl’s mind. It doesn’t work.“You’re one of those stinking traitors to the Republic!” he snarls. “I’m taking you in!”As one, the precinct attacks. Some officers rush me while others train blasters on me. I unleash a weak shockwave, knocking everyone off their feet as I dash out the door.As I make it to the street, blaster fire strikes the ground at my feet, and an imperial gunship descends upon the precinct. I rush towards the impound lot as fast as I can. The force pushes me faster and faster through the dingy streets of coruscant.I make it to the ship as imperial gunships surround me.Suddenly, a lone figure drops down from one of them. It’s a Sith Inquisitor!I draw my cortosis blade and fire it up just as the Inquisitor swings his saber at my head. The blade worked as intended; the inquisitor’s blade is temporarily shut down. During his momentary surprise, I strike with a force crush, breaking some of his ribs, but he recovers himself just in time. I take advantage of his weakness, hurling his body into an alleyway and stealing his lightsaber, before hurling metal containers at the gunships with the force.Suddenly, a blaster bolt whizzes past my head. Without thinking, I whirl around, grabbing my blaster and firing. But as my instincts give way to reason, I recognize the face of Jarl, twisted with hatred, his hands still clutching the blaster as he falls to the ground, a charred, smoking hole in his chest.A deep rage begins to build within me. It’s unbearable, as if my skin is on fire. I murdered one of the best friends I’ve ever known. All because of the Empire. Because of Sidious. Jarl is not the first to die, nor will he be the last. All this time, I’ve loved the Star Wars films, watched billions die while I sat back and ate popcorn. But it’s a lot different when I get to know those people, live with them, laugh with them. And now, kill them. I have no choice. With a cry of pure anguish, I unleash a storm of force lightning, destroying the gunships, the stormtroopers, and scorching the inquisitor.I jump in the ship and leave coruscant. I set the hyperdrive coordinates to “anywhere but here” and punch it. Despair takes me, and I fall into a deep sleep.But sleep is for those at peace.I am awoken by blaring alarms and fire at my window as my ship begins to enter the atmosphere of another planet. I compensate as best I can and prepare for a crash landing.Living in Star Wars isn’t as fun as I originally thought.————————————————————————————————————-Part Two: Hutt’s Bounty—————————————————————————————————————Freefall! The ship burns in the atmosphere as it hurtles towards the planet!I desperately punch buttons as the ship begins to break apart, while also using the force to shield myself from the intense heat.The shaking of the ship is overwhelming. It’s as if the entire universe is rumbling around me. The flames rush by outside the window, mere feet from me.Suddenly, a conduit explodes next to my head, knocking me out.I open my eyes to find myself sitting in an endless field of green grass. Am I back on Earth? Was all of this just a dream?“No, and no.” a voice says behind me. I turn to see a hooded man standing there. I can’t see his face, only a black abyss where his face SHOULD be.“Who are you?” I ask.“I think that’s a conversation for another time.”“Are you ……. an enemy?” I ask.“That depends on you, really. I can be your best friend or your worst nightmare. It’s really based on your point of view.”I want to question him further, but I have a feeling I really don’t have time to argue with some weird force ghost.“Well, you’re right about that. You DON’T have time.” the man says. “You see, you’re about to burn up in the atmosphere.”How is he reading my thoughts?“Again, a conversation for another time.”“So this is some sort of near-death experience?”“Sure, why not?”“Well, how can I stop it?”I can’t see his face, but I know he’s smiling.“I thought you’d never ask.” he says, almost in a growl. I feel uneasy about this person.Suddenly, before I can react, he raises his arms and unleashes what looks to be force lightning against me, but each bolt of energy is a different color. The skies darken, and thunder booms as I lie on the ground screaming in agony. The energy courses through my body, until it feels like my skin will explode.“See you soon.” he whispers.My eyes snap open. I’m back on the ship.I get up. Or rather, I levitate myself off the floor. I’m unnaturally focused, and my body courses with energy. I know that the ship is lost.signNowing out with the force, I form a protective barrier around my body. Next, I begin folding the ship inwards on myself, creating a highly refined human-sized re-entry shield. I fall through the atmosphere with the hull of the ship wrapped around my body, the force keeping me from being harmed.I grit my teeth from the exertion. Despite my power boost, it’s still quite difficult to maintain the barrier during reentry. My oxygen is running out. I’ll suffocate if I don’t break the atmosphere soon.Finally, I’m through. I take a breath, wincing from the heat. The ground is coming up fast. My vision is blurring. I need to level out or I’ll hit it head on. With the last of my strength, I use the force to try and level myself out.The suit shreds in seconds. Only my force barrier keeps me from becoming a red smear on the rocks. When I finally stop moving, I let the force barrier drop with a deep sigh. My entire body goes limp.I finally black out entirely.I don’t know how long I’m out, but I wake up to a sensation of being dragged. I can only assume the worst. It must be some sort of criminal or slaver. They’re quite common in the Star Wars universe. Without opening my eyes, I check my belt. All I have left is my pair of blasters and my lightsaber. I ever so carefully signNow down and grab my saber, gathering the force to help my weakened body move faster when it’s time to fight.In a flash, I ignite my saber, hacking off whatever was holding me, while leaping backwards through the air at the same time. But whatever was holding me is quite fast. I feel something large and powerful envelop my body. As things quiet down enough for me to focus on my enemy, I see this:Nope. Not a criminal of any kind (though now I wish it was). I’m still weak. My arms are trapped within the snake’s coils. I can only try one thing. If it doesn’t work, I’m dead.My saber is still in my hand, but I’m so constricted that I can’t physically signNow the activator. I signNow out with the force. The lightsaber ignites, cutting into the snake, which recoils with a horrifying screech. When it lets go of me, I put all of my energy into a massive bolt of force lightning, completely frying the snake.It flops to the ground, dead.I sink to my knees, breathing hard. I have to find shelter.I look around to get my bearings on the strange planet. I’m in some sort of large swamp area. The ground is soft, spongy, and wet. The air is pungent and damp. An oppressive mist covers everything. The longer I breathe it in, the more it begins to create a layer of slime in the back of my throat. I continuously have to keep spitting up “swamp loogies” in order to maintain some sense of comfort. Jagged and twisted trees stick up from the bog like the dead bones of some long-dead gargantuan beast.In the distance, barely visible in the mist, I spot a pair of abandoned pipes. They will act as my “cave” for the evening.I look back at the snake. Its body audibly sizzles as it smokes. I fight back nausea as I consider the thought of eating the pustule-covered thing, but I need food or I won’t survive to see my next sunrise.With extreme difficulty, I drag the snake through the bog to the pipes. I activate my lightsaber as I peer into the gloom. Hopefully there’s nothing else that already calls this place home. The smell is unbearable; these must have been sewage pipes. Since these pipes lead straight into the bog, I can only assume that THIS is why it smells so bad around here.I gather as much wood as I can and begin rubbing sticks together to start a fire. I work at the task for the better part of a half hour, before slapping myself in the forehead at how stupid I’ve been.“I have a lightsaber! Why am I even DOING this?!”In seconds, I have a roaring fire.The snake’s body sits beside me. As I cut into the snake’s body for its meat, I nearly vomit from the stench. Its flesh smells like fermented bile, and I’m sure it tastes even worse. I spear the meat on sticks and roast it over the fire, noting how, when cooked, it smells like urine on a hot radiator.I lift the meat to my lips. I don’t want to eat this, but I must. The meat is greasy, yet surprisingly sweet. Once you get past the smell, it doesn’t taste so bad.The next day I wake up feeling refreshed. I’ll need to find some sort of civilization, some drinkable water, or I’ll die of thirst. The snake meat was filled with water, but I don’t think it’ll do much in the long term.I climb one of the many trees in the area and try to see if there’s a city near me. Turns out I was right next to one the whole time. It looks almost like a swampy version of Mos Eisley.As I walk into town, it becomes obvious that this is EXACTLY like Mos Eisley; it’s run entirely by criminals. The people in town turn their noses up at me as I walk by; I smell like I just crawled out the bog’s rear end, and it doesn’t help that I’m covered in mud, blood, and snake pus. I’m leaving a trail of dirt as I walk down the street.I walk into the local bar. It’s a long shot, but maybe someone there knows of some jobs that are looking for new hires. Soothing music hits my ears as I walk through the door. But I can’t let my guard down. The men and women in this place are all vicious killers. I signNow out with the force, keeping an eye on everyone inside and outside the bar.I walk up to the bartender. “Where is his mouth … ?” I wonder.His eyes narrow as he sees me. I can sense him recoil from my smell.“Sorry, we don’t serve bums here.” he says. The entire bar erupts into laughter.“I’m actually looking for work.” I say. “My ship crashed in the bog and I’ve got no credits.”“Not my problem.” he says stiffly.“Can you at least tell me what planet this is?”“Nal Hutta, kid.”I look around the bar. Neon signs and bright lights adorn the walls. Inwardly, I smile. I think someone’s going to need my “services” very soon.signNowing out with the force, I short out a number of lights and signs, making sure that they explode in a shower of sparks.“E chu ta!” the bartender exclaims.“Y’know, for a small fee, I can fix those lights for you.” I say with a smile.The bartender scowls. “Like a bum knows how to fix this stuff.”“Actually, I’ve got some electrical training under my belt, I could have this done before you close tonight.”“Fine, fine, but take a shower or something first. You’re stinking up the joint. The showers are out back.”As I go to the showers, I sense someone watching me. I make sure to keep my weapons with me as I shower. Soon I smell as fresh as a field of flowers (relatively speaking; the water itself doesn’t smell all that great).I come back out. The bartender gives me some tools. “Well, get to it.” he grumbles.When I’m sure no one’s watching, I use the force to help me fix the tools. I do some work with my hands and levitate other tools as needed. I get the work done in record time.“Well, looks like you’re no liar.” the bartender remarks. “Pretty rare trait in these parts. Here’s your credits.”“So how bout’ that job?” I ask.“Listen, man. Jobs round’ here ain’t like jobs everywhere else. You can’t just waltz in, fill out an application and get a call back in a few weeks. Around here, it’s all about who you know, and who knows you. Best I can do is show you the bounties on the wall.”He gestures to the wall on the other side of the bar. A crowd of bounty hunters is taking jobs left and right.“You’d better hurry. All the bounties are almost taken.”I scurry over to the wall. But suddenly, I stop dead in my tracks. MY face is among the bounties. Apparently, my time as a cop in coruscant did not go unnoticed by the Hutts. My seizing of their illegal weapons and drugs was a huge thorn in their side, but no one had been able to take me out. The bounty was pretty high.“Lucky” Jackson. Former Coruscant Police Officer. Wanted for disruption of Hutt business, theft of property, and the mistreatment of employees. $5,000,000 Credits Dead or Alive.”I lowered my head and made my way out of the bar. I sensed someone following me. Once I got around the corner, I booked it. I’d need a change of clothes. I hit the local store. I don’t have many credits, and I was hoping to sleep in a bed tonight, but I’ll have to settle for these clothes.With these new clothes, and this mask, it’ll be a little harder for people to recognize me.As I walk the streets, an idea hits me. I’ll be able to afford a bed after all. I begin signNowing out with the force, pick-pocketing passersby of a few credits here and there. Unfortunately, someone notices.“WHAT ARE YOU DOING?!” he screams as he pulls his blaster. Without thinking, I unleash a force push, knocking him dozens of feet away. “HE’S A JEDI!” someone screams. “KILL HIM AND THE BOUNTY IS OURS!”Looks like I wasted my money on this disguise for nothing.The entirety of the town is after me; bounty hunters, pirates, smugglers, you name it. I’ve never faced numbers like these before; there’s HUNDREDS of them.The air glows with a hail of blaster fire from all directions. I ignite my lightsaber, running through the town as quickly as I can. Screams and the smell of burning flesh fill the air as I cut down scores of men and deflect blaster bolts at others.I desperately look for a ship to steal, but they’re all too far away. Someone fires a sonic blaster at me and the world goes blurry. My instincts continue to block the blaster bolts, but it’s only a matter of time before I’m taken down. I hear the unmistakable sound of a stun blaster. A split second later, everything goes dark.I awaken hours later. The only light source comes from a light directly above me. I sit in a cone of light, surrounded by darkness. My hands and feet are bound with chains. I try to free myself with the force, but they’ve drugged me with something that limits my focus. All I can manage is to rattle the chain a bit.I hear a laugh from the shadows.“Ho, ho, ho, ho, ho.”The room lights up, and I find myself face to face with the Hutt clan.“We’ve been wasting our money.” One of them says. “We’ve been putting bounty after bounty on your head, when all we had to do was wait for you to show up on our doorstep.”“This won’t hold me forever.” I growl.The Hutts just laugh. “We’ve heard it all before, “Lucky.” People always say things like “You’ll never get away with this”, or “I’ll have my revenge”, and yet they all end up the same. Six feet under. Just like you’re going to be.”One of the Hutts holds up my lightsaber and blasters.“I’d like to keep these for myself” he says, “but they would fetch a much higher price at an auction, I think. Maybe I can even make back some of the money I lost because of you.”The Hutts gesture to the guards, who take me away to be executed.As we walk down the hall, I continually try to focus, to use the force to escape, but all I can do is move rocks a few inches.Our journey ends in an isolated part of the Hutt’s palace, where I am to be executed by beheading. An idea shoots through my mind.I kick one of the guards in the shin. He grunts in surprise, loosening his grip just enough to allow me to wriggle free. The other guard throws me to the floor, ready to hack me to pieces with his axe. This is the moment I was waiting for.As he lifts his axe, I throw my chains to the ground next to me, focusing all of my attention on the axe. As it swings downwards, I use the force to nudge the blade a few inches to my left, splitting the chains.The guards squeal in rage as they lift their weapons and attack. I’m not sure what I can do without the force, but I’m certainly not going to lose to some of the worst cannon fodder in star wars.Using what little control over the force I have left, I enhance my vision and reflexes by a marginal degree. The guards, though strong, are quite slow. They can’t hit me. They’re also not very smart. I have an idea.I position myself between them. As they both move to attack me, I wait until the last possible second to get out of the way.It works. The guards slam into each other with their axe blades, killing each other instantly.I’ll need to retrieve my weapons and get my hands on a ship (and kill the Hutts while I’m at it). I can’t use the axe as a temporary weapon, it’s too heavy. So I snap off the axe head and use it to cut the staff to an acceptable length. I then carve sharp points on both ends. It’s a very primitive double-pointed spear, but it’ll have to do.I run through the tight corridors. A guard sees me, but before he can react, I’ve already impaled his head with my spear.“Hey!” a voice calls. “Get us out of here!” I turn to see a cell full of people. One of them is a Togruta woman. She’s the one who called to me.“How can I know you won’t stab me in the back the second I open this door?” I ask.“You don’t.” she replies with a smile.“Well, at least you’re honest.” I say as I break the lock.The people flood out of the cell.“Thanks!” she says. “What’s your name?”“I’m Alex, but everybody calls me Lucky.”“Nice to meet you, Lucky. My name is Shara.”“Hey, Shara.”“Well, Lucky, what are we doing next?”“We”? What do you mean “We”? You’re all free now, you can do what you want!”“You freed us, so you’re responsible for us.”“I think I would have preferred being stabbed in the back.”I don’t have time to argue (as always), so me and a few dozen people try to sneak through the halls of the palace. As we move forwards, I feel my connection to the force begin to strengthen, little by little.We signNow the hangar, but now I have a few dozen people to worry about, so I try to pick a large ship. A yellow smuggling freighter catches my eye.I get everyone aboard and turn to go back into the palace.“Where are you going?” Shara asks.“The Hutts took something from me, and I want it back.” I growl. Shara looks worried.“Look, if I’m not back in an hour, go without me, ok? There are other ships.”“But you don’t understand!” she cries, but it’s too late. I’ve already closed the door.My powers have almost fully returned. I rush through the halls with force speed. In minutes I’ve found the Hutts. They look stunned.“Surprised to see me?” I ask.“GUARDS!” they roar. One of them slams down an alarm button. In seconds, the room fills with guards. I see the same Hutt from before. He still has my weapons in his hands. I signNow out with the force, ripping them from him. He snarls in anger.My lightsaber ignites in my hand as the guards begin to fire. Since the space is enclosed, I’m able to run along walls, jump off the ceiling, and essentially be everywhere at once. In less than a minute, I’ve killed all the guards.“Let’s make a deal!” the Hutts cry before I cut them down.Having gathered my weapons, I go to leave. More guards show up and start blasting. The door opens, and Shara is standing there. “What are you doing here?!” I yell as we run down the hall.“I would have told you before!” she cries. “Among my people, when someone saves your life, you are honor-bound to remain with them until your debt is repaid! I can’t leave your side!”“Fine! Whatever! Did you at least get the ship OUT of the hangar?”“Yes!”As we leave the hangar, we see the ship. Only problem is, there’s several dozen Stormtroopers between us and the ship.Apparently the Hutts weren’t the only ones looking for me.An imperial star destroyer sits above us in the clouds as the Stormtroopers advance. I hand Shara my blasters as I activate my saber. “Looks like you’ll repay the debt several times over!” I yell as I charge the stormtroopers.Shara fires from cover as I whirl around the battlefield, deflecting blaster bolts, chopping off heads and limbs, and crushing men in their own armor. A stray bolt hits Shara. Before the next one can hit her, I’ve dived in the way, barely blocking the bolt that would have killed her.I gather the force and destroy the rest of the imperial forces in a massive shockwave of raw power.“We’ll never escape that Star Destroyer!” Shara screams.“Yes we will! Go start the ship!”I draw upon all my powers. I signNow out with the force and probe the ship with my mind. I’ve seen a star destroyer taken down in the “fictional” Star Wars stories of my own world. But this time, rather than trying to physically drag the entire thing down, which would severely weaken me, I merely take over the ship’s controls with the force, driving it towards the planet’s surface, crushing the town I was in, the Hutt’s palace, and killing EVERYONE.Despite my energy-saving methods, the effort severely drains me. I stumble onto the ship. The prisoners back away from me, but Shara reassures them that I’m on their side.“Who are you, really?” she asks.“I told you. I’m Lucky.” I say.“We have a saying on my world, Lucky. “The man who insists on his own mediocrity can expect to have greatness forced upon him.”I don’t really have a response to that.“So, where to?” I ask.“Where do you think these people will be happy with the Empire around?”“I know just the place.” I say with a smile. I set the coordinates, and the stars stretch around us as we jump to hyperspace.—————————————————————————————————————Part Three: Destruction and Salvation—————————————————————————————————————-We dropped out of hyperspace.Before us, shining in the void, was the planet of Naboo.“Why are we here?” Shara asked.“Well,” I replied, “I’m not 100% sure, but my plan was to drop these people off on a beautiful world where they could live out their days in relative peace. And if they need to run from the Empire, Naboo is right on the border of the outer rim, so it’ll be a shorter distance to run.”As we approached the planet, we noticed a blockade of Empire ships ahead of us.A voice came over the radio.“Unidentified ship, you have entered a restricted zone. State your business here.”I had to think fast; we had only seconds to come up with something good before they blasted us into oblivion. Then it hit me.“They always say honesty is the best policy.” I muttered as I ignited my lightsaber and began sabotaging key elements of the ship.“What are you doing?!” Shara cried. The other passengers were freaking out. I motioned for them to be quiet as I opened the comms.“Empire vessel, this is ….. Gar Skarssson. I have a ship full of escaped slaves from Nal Hutta, but we were badly damaged in the escape. Requesting permission to land on the planet below before we lose life support.”We waited for several agonizing moments. No one spoke. No one even breathed.A message finally came through.“Yes, we verify the damage to your ship on our scanners. You are clear to proceed. Do you require assistance?”“Negative, sir. We ask only that you direct us to the local government so we can appeal to them for asylum.”“Very well. Sending you the coordinates now.”We “limped” our ship past the blockade. Some of the passengers gathered some old clothes from the ship’s storage containers and burned them in the airlock, making it look like the ship was smoking.We soon landed on the surface. Naboo was truly a paradise.We took the passengers to the local government. After hearing our case, the passengers were allowed to stay on Naboo as asylum seekers, having escaped the vicious and torturous imprisonment of the Hutts.The passengers thanked me and went on to lead new lives on the idyllic planet. I began to walk back to the ship to begin repairs and leave the planet.“And where do you think you’re going?” Shara asked.“I’m gonna repair the ship. Where are YOU going?”“With you, of course.”Omg, not this again.“Why do you insist on coming with me?” I asked. “You said you couldn’t leave until you repaid the debt for me freeing you. I’d say facing down a star destroyer with me qualifies as repaying a debt.”“Normally, you’d be right.” She replied. “But then you saved my life and risked your own. I now owe you a life debt that can never be repaid. You’re basically stuck with me for life.”“And this doesn’t bother you at all?” I asked. Shara’s eyes narrowed in anger.“You humans think YOUR culture is the only one in the galaxy!” She snapped. “You admire your own ideals and beliefs but no one else’s. On my world, giving a life debt is seen as an act of deep respect. You saved me from a life of slavery and then risked your life to save not only mine, but the lives of the other prisoners as well. Humans would be grateful, but they would never commit their lives to such a person. But on my world, we would be honored to do such a thing, because it’s who we are. You don’t have to understand it. You don’t even need to accept it. But I won’t leave your side, no matter what you say. You may not honor my ways, but I will.”“Ok, ok! I didn’t know it was that important!” (sheesh!)The wind was blowing through the trees. For the first time since I’d arrived in this universe, I finally began to notice the beauty of the world around me. “Hey,” I said, “Why don’t we explore for a bit? We’ve been fighting for out lives this whole time, it’d be nice to see some sights that aren’t attached to a blaster.”Shara cracked a smile. “Very well.”We walked around the streets of Naboo for hours. The city positively glowed with energy. The markets were loud and filled with food. Mini festivals were being held all over the place. The people were happy and content, despite the state of the galaxy.We passed a strength game, one of those things where you have to strike it with a hammer and ring the bell. “Try that one!” Shara said excitedly.I began to walk over to the hammer, gathering the force within me. “I’m gonna smash the crap outta this thing”, I thought.Suddenly, I felt a tap on my shoulder. “By the way, you can’t use your powers.” Shara said with a wink.“Seriously?”“Seriously.”(sigh) “Fine ….”I struck the platform with my own strength. The gauge shot up, just barely missing the bell. The crowd groaned and Shara giggled as my cheeks burned from embarrassment.“Well, why don’t YOU try it then?” I asked.“Very well.” (WHAM!)The gauge shot straight up, hitting the bell with a resounding ring.“I don’t believe it.” I said.“The women of my people are much stronger than your human females.” Shara said with a proud sniff. “You should not be surprised.”We began a friendly rivalry as the day dragged on. Our greatest “battle” was at Whack-a-Trooper. I just barely scraped out a win.As the sun began to set, Shara and I went back to the ship for the night.“You know …… there’s only one bed on the ship.” I said with a grin.Shara elbowed me in the ribs. “Very funny, human. I’m afraid you won’t live up to your name tonight, however.”“Goodnight, Shara.”“Goodnight.”As Shara slept, I walked outside. It was hard to decide whether Naboo was more beautiful in the day or at night. The people were mostly asleep, and the air was still and cool. The sounds of the many falls could be heard in the distance. The grass was wet to the touch, gathering its morning dew from the cold night air. Everything was peaceful. For the first time in a long time, I began to relax.“Are you enjoying yourself?” a voice asked behind me.I spun around, lightsaber in hand, only to see a familiar face. Or rather, the lack of one.“Well now, that’s rather rude.” the man said. “I did save your life, after all.”He stretched out his hand, and the energy of the lightsaber flowed from the blade and into his hand, deactivating it. No matter how hard I tried, I couldn’t turn it back on. I thought about going for my blaster, but I figured he’d just do the same thing again.“He CAN learn, after all!” the man exclaimed. “I was getting worried for a minute there.”“Seriously, who are you?” I asked.“I did say we’d talk later, didn’t I? Well, it’s officially “Later.”I just stared.“…… Right, not in the mood for banter. Ok then, I’m just gonna lay it all out for you: I Am The Force.”Without intending to, I laughed out loud. “What?!” I asked after calming down. “How can you be the force? It’s this mysterious thing that has no will of its own!”“Actually,” the man said, “How can Jedi and Sith speak of the “Will of the Force” but not believe that the force is alive? For a thing to have a Will implies its sentience. For men to have access to Light and Dark sides of the force, both of which are accessed by different emotions, implies that the SOURCE itself, the thing from where the Light and Dark side originate, must have those emotions within itself. You literally CANNOT access the Dark side without negative emotions. That means that the force has negative emotions within it. And the same goes for the Light side.”“Ok, let’s say I believe you.” I said. “Why then, is the Force deciding to talk to ME, of all people? Why aren’t you helping the Jedi or the Sith?”The Force shrugged. “Because it’s no longer possible.” he replied. “Your arrival in this universe has thrown everything out of wack, altering the destinies of every galaxy irrevocably.”“How do you know I’m from another universe?” I asked.The Force chuckled, and the planet trembled. “I surround everything, penetrate everything, and bind the universe together.” he replied. “Did you honestly think I wouldn’t notice if something showed up that wasn’t part of me?”“Fair enough.” I said. “But why can’t you just change things when they go bad? You’re basically the embodiment of this universe’s reality; you could just snap your fingers and make everything a paradise. Why all this war and death?”“Because that would defeat the purpose of sentience.” The Force replied. “Sentient beings are meant to have free will, to make their own destinies. Too often, that results in violence. But if I were to take everything over, make everyone’s decisions FOR them, then I would turn the entire universe into one giant hive mind. It would be like making my own decisions for myself, if that makes sense. There would be no point for life to exist at that point, because no one would ever really be alive.”“Ok, but how does my being here change things?”“In a universe like this one, everyone’s destinies intertwine to create a coherent timeline, which I oversee. I enjoy watching people’s lives, I love their individuality, but if I left them to their own devices entirely, they would destroy themselves. So I nudge certain people and events in certain directions to keep things “balanced”, in a sense. This is where you come in. Your arrival here has begun to unravel the threads of destiny in our universe. In your world, you have matter and antimatter. If one meets the other, they destroy one another. But in this case, you are a sort of existential antimatter. You disrupt the natural flow of universes you’re not supposed to be in and damage the fabric of reality. And even if you were to leave this universe, which you can’t, the disruptions would still be there.”“I suppose now is the time where you tell me “I must kill you to save the universe!” or something like that, right?” I ask.“What? No!” The Force exclaims. “In order to make things right, you must make drastic changes to the timeline. As the unstable element, you’ve vastly disrupted things beyond the point of no return, so the only thing left to do is work WITH those disruptions, not against them. “When life gives you lemons” and all that. The fabric of this universe will change tremendously from what was originally intended, but it will be better for everyone in the long run. If you do nothing, the intended timeline will keep going further and further out of wack until everything goes out of my control, and then all sentient beings WILL destroy themselves. And in that case, my only option would be to simply control everything myself, destroying free will forever. So in either case, unless something is done, the universe will essentially be destroyed.”“So what do you want me to do? What’s my “Destiny”, so to speak?” I ask.“I’m not going to tell you your destiny.” The Force says bluntly. “The last guy who knew his destiny went so crazy that he killed his wife, destroyed the entire Jedi Order, became a burn victim who is also a quadruple amputee, and is now one of two Sith ruling this galaxy through fear and death. So yeah, no fortune cookie for you.”“I see your point. Too much information at once can be a bad thing.” I reply. “But can you at least point me in the right direction?”“Sure. But I don’t think you’ll like it.” The Force says. “For the first part of your journey, you will need to travel to Korriban, the ancient Sith homeworld. This will be where your training begins.”“You’re right.” I say. “I don’t like it. That place is creepy. But if it’s to save the universe, let’s do it.”“Mmhh……. Lucky ….. ?” Shara has woken up. “What’s going on?” she asks.I look back to find that the Force has vanished. I turn back to Shara.“We have a lot to talk about.” I reply.—————————————————————————————————————Part Four: A World of the Past—————————————————————————————————————Korriban.Even as we dropped out of hyperspace, I felt an unrelenting feeling of dread. Now that I stand on the planet’s surface, I can say with the utmost certainty that I’ve never felt anything like it. Despite standing in the open, the air feels close and stagnant. Strange whispers and howls can be heard on the wind, and the rumble of stones as they tumble off cliffs and statues.“So you’ve arrived.”Me and Shara turn to see the Force standing there. Though we can’t see his face, we know he’s all business.He points to an old temple ruin. “Go there. You will find what you need in The Valley of the Dark Lords.”“What am I to do?” asks Shara.“You will remain here with me while Lucky is inside the temple. While he is gone, I will teach you to use the force.” says the Force. “You will need such valuable knowledge.”The Force turns to me. “As for you, before I forget, I need something from you.”Without a word, he raises his hands. Energy surges from my body and into his hands. I try to scream but can’t. When he’s finished, I feel weak.“Did you take my power?” I ask.“No. I took MY power.” he says. “You didn’t REALLY think you could just survive reentry into a planet’s atmosphere because you were just that awesome, did you? I gave you a power boost, that’s how you’ve been able to do all these things so far. You need to learn how to properly use the force, and you can’t be doing that on power crutches.”“But I CAN use the force!” I exclaim.The Force chuckles.“You know how to flail around, but you have no precision. No forethought. You had all that power and the most you did with it is the same stuff you can still do even now, just running and jumping, basically. Now, enough chatter, you have work to do.”I’m upset, but I have no choice. It’s not like I can just take the power back, either. I walk into the ruined Sith temple gates.“Huh. I expected everything to be a lot more red.” I remark.As I walk further into the temple, I am accompanied at all times by strange gusts of wind and what sound like whispers. The sounds of the planet can be heard outside somewhat, but the type of sound in the temple is distinctly different.Behind me, the gates to the temple suddenly slam shut. My only light sources comes from cracks in the ceiling and lights that have not yet lost power. The air is very cold, chilling me to the bone. The stones of the temple seem to loom larger and larger with every step, as if the place is trying to suffocate me.Suddenly, a door opens, and a red light streams out.“Well, Mr. Let’s-Save-The-Universe, you asked for this. Now you have to take your medicine.” I mumble to myself as I step through the door, which closes behind me, plunging the room into darkness.For a few moments, I see nothing but darkness, hear nothing but the beating of my own heart and the blood rushing in my ears. As I stagger through the blackness, my hands contact something cold and hard.“Are these …… bars?” I ask myself.All at once, there is light. And I wish I were blind. Before me is the door from my childhood, the inescapable iron gate over our front door which trapped me in a strife-filled home with an abusive stepfather.“BOY! GET IN HERE!”My god, it sounds just like him. Everything smells exactly the same as back then. I remember how the bad days used to have an actual SMELL to them; almost like a strange mix between ozone and copper. Without fail, whenever I smelled that odor, disaster followed soon after.I don’t want to walk down that hall. I don’t want to go in that room. I thought I’d escaped this hell years, decades ago. And even now, as a grown man, I still feel that same nauseous fear. The bones in my legs turn to jelly and my heart sinks so hard and so fast that it launches my stomach to the floor. My tongue tingles and I smell the distinct scent of blood, though I’m not bleeding at all.I stagger down the hall, and there he is, sitting on the bed. He sees me and smiles, that same smile he always had when he looked at me, that smile that said “I’m bigger and stronger than you and we both know it”.“Your mother’s at work, so get in the kitchen and make me a sandwich.” he says. Big man, letting his wife go out and work while he sits at home and watches TV, stuffing his face.Rage begins to build. All the years of torment, hunger, malnourishment, homelessness, all come flooding back to me.“No.”“WHAT’D YOU SAY, PUSSY?!” he shouts, jumping up from the bed.“I SAID NO!” I shout, putting all my energy into a force push, throwing him through the wall.It felt good. I even laugh nervously to myself a bit. Maybe now HE can be the one crying, the one who’s miserable, the one who always wonders just what the hell he did wrong.“So, you have a spine after all.” he says, picking himself up from the rubble. “I never would have guessed.”I ignite my lightsaber. “I know you’re not real, and I don’t care.” I growl. “Today is the day I finally kill you.”He ignites a lightsaber of his own. “Don’t write checks your ass can’t cash, boy.”We lunge at each other.With every attack, he matches me. I’m never able to land a hit on him, and he can never land a hit on me. I become more and more enraged. I shout every insult I can at him, everything I ever thought about him all those years ago. And every time, he just laughs, making me angrier still.He force pushes me through the door and back into the main hall of the temple. Suddenly, all the doors open, and people from my darkest memories begin pouring out; kids from my school who treated me like crap, friends who betrayed and beat me, people who insulted me, people who I treated like crap when I would lash out at the world. The temple was filled with my bad memories and regrets.“Well?” my stepdad asked. “What will you do now? Kill us all?”“YES!” I roared, attacking them all.For days we fought each other, no one gaining an upper hand. I was exhausted, feeling nothing but rage, fear and despair. Shadows danced on the wall to the tune our sabers made as the halls echoed with my screams. I learned a lot in those few days; I repeatedly kept changing up my method of attack to try and gain an advantage. Before, I would have simply swung wildly and hoped for the best. I’d had no need to be any better, since most of my enemies had no lightsabers so far. But now I was feinting, stabbing, trying to turn parries into return strikes, allowing for simultaneous defense and offense.Finally, going nowhere, I fled. I ran through the halls of the temple, trying to find a safe spot. I eventually found a small nook in the walls to hide in. I was breathing heavily. Sweat poured down my face as I struggled to regain control over my emotions.I had thought that I was past all this.“It’s just the Sith temple, of COURSE it would do something like this!” I tell myself. But that’s not it and I know it. In places like this, you always face your worst nightmares, regrets, inner turmoil. It’s just that MY inner turmoil comes from another place and time.Then it hits me.“I can’t FIGHT my demons. I have to accept them.”I walked back into the hall.“THERE HE IS!” they screamed, bearing down on me.I deactivated my lightsaber and closed my eyes. Nothing happened. The demons shrieked in anger, unable to touch me.“WHAT HAVE YOU DONE?!” they cried.“I’ve stopped fighting.” I said. “I accept that you exist. I accept that I can’t change the past. But I’m done carrying you. I have to move on with my life, or I’ll never succeed at anything, in this world or any other. You will always be with me, but you will never again hold such power over me.”The demons wailed in fury as they began to fade away.“I was the one who made you stronger!” my stepdad snarled.“No. You weren’t.” I replied. “There was never any real strength in hatred.”With that, he faded away entirely.I slumped to the floor, flat on my face. The stone was cool and refreshing to my burning hot skin.The gates of the temple slowly opened.I began to slowly walk outside, trying to conserve my energy for the trip back to the ship.“Congratulations.” said the Force. “You’ve completed the first part of your training. Although you didn’t gain a better command of the force as I’d hoped, you have at least learned to use a lightsaber more effectively than before.”I was too tired to say anything back.“Well, come on then. Let’s go back to the ship. Hop to it.” he said.“You won’t even maybe teleport me to the ship for all my hard work?” I asked hopefully.“And deprive you of all that extra mental and physical toughness? No way!”“I hate you so much right now.”“Like I said before, it’s all based on your point of view.”I finally managed to drag myself back to the ship, sweating and breathing hard.“You look like you had a rougher time than I did.” Shara said. She was meditating on the floor of the ship, a blue lightsaber floating in the air in front of her.“Where’d you get the lightsaber? And how are you so good with the force?” I asked.“Well, since the Sith and Jedi fought here long ago, finding an old lightsaber for me to use wasn’t THAT difficult.” she said. “And the Force says I’m a natural at using, well, the force.”“Well of course if you get taught by THE ACTUAL FORCE then you’ll get the hang of things pretty quickly.” I said. “Whatever, I’m going to bed.”I woke hours later to find the Force staring intently at me.“What?” I asked groggily.“…….. I’ve been wanting to ask for some time now.” the Force said. “What is it that you plan to do? All I’ve been sensing lately is that you want to save the universe, and you’ve been very good about following my training. But do you know why you do it? Do you have any specifics on how to save this universe? And what happens AFTER you save it?”I just stared. This was rather abrupt.“You don’t have to answer me right this second.” the Force said. “I just want you to think about it. Think about your purpose here. I told you that you would need to make drastic changes, but you need to have some sort of idea as to what those changes will be. I won’t always be around to bail you out, you know; eventually you’re going to have to fend for yourself.”With that, he vanished.“Breakfast is ready!” Shara called from another room.As I ate my meal, I thought about what the Force had said to me. I thought about the things I knew about the Star Wars Universe.“Ok, so The Empire is formed at the end of Episode 3, then there’s at least 20 years of civil war between the Empire and the Rebels, after which time Vader and Palpatine both die. And then after that, there are more wars……”“What are you mumbling about?” Shara asked.“Hm? Oh, nothing. I just think I’m beginning to form a plan of attack, is all.” I replied.After several hours of thinking, I had a plan.“I know what I’m going to do now.” I replied confidently. “Shara, set a course for Alderaan.”—————————————————————————————————————-Part Five: Mice and Men—————————————————————————————————————We dropped out of hyperspace. Alderaan floated before us.It was strange to see it there, so peaceful. There was no Death Star on the verge of destroying it, and the people were likely going about their day, with no knowledge of the horror that awaited them. And, with any luck, I would see to it that it never came to pass.“What are we doing here?” Shara asked.“I wish to see a man named Bail Organa.” I said. “He is one of the instrumental elements to my plan.”“You’re not going to tell me your plan, are you?”“No. If things go wrong, I need to be the only person with this information.”Shara looked disappointed.“Look, it’s not that I don’t trust you. It’s the opposite, in fact. But this is for your own safety, and the well-being of the galaxy.”“I understand.”“Good. Take us down.”Alderaan was just as beautiful as I’d heard. We flew over still water, as the icy mists of the snow covered mountains swirled in the distance. The smell in the air was intoxicating; the scent of the morning dew on the grass mixed with the sharp chill of ice. Finally, we signNowed civilization.I approached two soldiers.“Excuse me, but I would like to see Senator Organa if you please.” I said. “Do you know where I can find him?”They looked me up and down and began to laugh. “No one just sees the Senator!” they exclaimed. “The Senator decides when HE wants to see YOU!”It was time for a different tactic.“You WILL tell me where the Senator is.” I said, drawing on the Force.“We will tell you where the Senator is.” they droned.“ ……Well? Where is he?” I asked.The soldiers motioned to a large tower some distance away. “He is in a conference with the Emperor.”“Thank you.” I said as I began walking towards the tower.I used the same mind tricks on every guard I came across, accessing the place with ease.I soon heard a voice coming from a room at the end of the hall.“……. outrageous ……. can’t do this …….”As I drew closer, I peeked through the door to see Senator Bail Organa in a fierce debate with Emperor Palpatine.“We have reason to believe that you are harboring traitors to the Empire.” Palpatine said in a menacing voice. I shuddered involuntarily. In the movies, his voice had always been fun to listen to. He was the bad guy you loved to hate. But now that I was standing here, it was as if a cold hand was signNowing into my chest and gripping my heart.“I’ve told you before, Alderaan is a neutral world!” Organa exclaimed. “We have nothing to do with the Rebellion OR your Empire!”“Then you should have nothing to fear when the Imperial Fleet arrives to ….. investigate your world.” The Emperor said. His voice was calm and sweet, but carried an edge like a poison blade.The Emperor started to continue, but then he paused. He smiled.In an instant, I knew he’d sensed me.It had been a mistake to come here.“Expect the fleet to arrive in three days, Senator.” he said, before shutting down the transmission. I breathed a sigh of relief. I felt as if a great weight had been lifted from my shoulders.“You can come in now.”I’m not sure if he’s talking to me. I’ve been careful not to be discovered.“I know you’re there. You don’t hold a Senator’s position these days without learning to grow eyes in the back of your head.”I slowly, and a bit sheepishly, walked through the door to come face to face with Bail Organa.He was visibly armed.“What can I do for you?” he asked, taking a sip of water.“Is this room secure?” I asked. Organa laughed.“Of course it’s secure.”“Good. Then I’ll cut right to the chase. I know that you and senator Mon Mothma have been assisting rebel cells without the Empire’s knowledge, and that you have several spies placed within the ranks of the Imperial Military. I’m here to tell you that we need to begin consolidating those cells into a coherent Rebel Army.”As I spoke, I felt surprise and fear emanating from the Senator, though outwardly he showed no change in demeanor. I wondered how he was still alive; if I could sense his emotions, then he must be like an open book to the Emperor.After some time, the Senator spoke.“Who are you, really?”“You can call me Lucky.”“The same Lucky who’s been giving the Empire so much trouble?”“Yes.”“Very well, Lucky. Why do you want the rebel cells to merge? What do you stand to gain from this?”“Not me, Senator. The galaxy. As we speak, construction of an Imperial Superweapon is taking place, which, when completed, will have the power to destroy entire planets. I wish to stop the weapon from being completed.”“You have quite the vivid imagination, Lucky.”He still doesn’t trust me. Time for drastic measures.“So. How is Leia doing?”At that, he pointed his gun at me. “Don’t you dare.” he said menacingly.I immediately signNowed out with the force. The gun flew from his hand and landed in mine. His eyes widened. I sensed great fear in him, but also, a new emotion; hope.“I have knowledge of things that you can’t possibly imagine, Senator. I know that Masters Yoda and Obi-Wan left Leia with you, while Obi-Wan took Luke to Tatooine to stay with his aunt and uncle. And I know much, much more than that. You have to trust that my reasons for not telling you everything at once are purely altruistic. I am NOT your enemy.”The senator leaned back in his chair, considering everything I’d told him.Suddenly, an alarm sounded.“THE EMPIRE IS HERE!” a guard shouted.I looked outside to see darkened skies filled with star destroyers. Troops were already on the ground and marching on the city.Inwardly, I cursed myself. Once the Emperor sensed my presence, it was only natural that he would immediately launch an attack. He’d only said “three days” to make me think I had more time, and therefore allow myself to be cornered.Senator Organa flew down the steps as the stormtroopers began to enter the city.“Senator.” I said. “Is there any way to secretly record these events?”“Yes.” Organa replied. “I can have my men dress in plain clothes and mingle with the citizens with hidden cameras.”“Do that. Then we will have evidence of the Empire’s misdeeds.”As we neared the street, we could see the stormtroopers rounding up the citizens and gathering them in the town square.I made myself scarce by taking to the alleys and rooftops.Senator Organa tried to stop them, but he was struck by the butt of a blaster and slumped to his knees.An imperial officer walked down the rows of kneeling citizens as the stormtroopers searched their homes.“Hello.” he said with a firm voice. “We are here today to investigate claims that people on your planet are harboring and aiding members of terrorist rebel cells. Should any of you be found guilty of these claims, you will be summarily executed for treason.”A young man was dragged from his home and thrown at the feet of the officer. The stormtrooper handed a flyer to the officer. My heart sank as I realized what it was.The officer pulled out his blaster and prepared to fire. I had to fight to keep from helping. I knew that if I intervened, many more might suffer. So for the greater good, if one death stopped thousands more, I had to sit here and let it happen. No matter how much it hurt.But suddenly, the officer was lifted off his feet and flung against the wall, knocked unconscious.Shara had appeared out of nowhere, lightsaber drawn, cutting down stormtroopers left and right.I felt conflicted. On the one hand, I was happy that the man would live, but I knew that war between Alderaan and the Empire was now inevitable. If the people didn’t fight back, they would be massacred.I leapt from the roof into the fray. The stormtroopers fired at us. Before, I would have charged blindly, but now, I used physical obstacles as cover, conserving my energy, using the mind trick to make enemies attack each other. With my low energy/high reward attacks, we soon began to turn the tide of the battle.Reinforcements were going to show up any minute, and I wasn’t sure how Shara and I were going to survive.But suddenly, the people of Alderaan, emboldened by our actions, took up arms and fought back against the Empire.“DOWN WITH THE EMPIRE!” came the rallying cry.As the citizens fought in the streets, imperial tie bombers began attacking the city.I leapt into the air, slicing open the hatch of a tie bomber, killing the pilot, and using the bomber to shoot down the other ties, before flying it directly into an armored vehicle, leaping out just before it exploded.The imperial officer came to his senses. Seeing the destruction all around him, he went insane. “DESTROY THE TRAITORS TO THE EMPIRE!” he screamed, calling in backup from imperial walkers and shooting citizens point blank in the face.The citizens faltered, but I charged forwards, intending to cut off the legs of the imperials. “Do not be afraid!” Shara cried. “Fight for your homes, your families! Fight for freedom!”The people surged forwards, emboldened by her words. I couldn’t help but feel a twinge of affection towards Shara as I watched her lead them into battle.The imperial officer found himself surrounded, but he gave one last cry of defiance and charged the impromptu “rebel army” before being gunned down

What surprised you about the Indian government's budget presented by Nirmala Sitharaman?Completly awestruck by the way, Nirmala Sithraman started by her maiden budget by telling Purananooru.Purananooru is a Tamil work made by Pisiranthayar. She said a verse from it and asked meaning for it from DMK lads. Since they don’t know meaning they smiled and Madam Nirmala Sithraman explains it.Now this is where Anti-DMK kannis get happy. They are so happy that DMK didn’t answer. But wait, what’s the truth? Our Nirmala Mam has practised it 4 times and mugged it up so that she can present it before her budget. Fact is, without memorizing nobody knows the meaning. You go to a random tamil guy ask them the meaning, they will simply look at you like anything because they are Tamils, not Tamil scholars.Fine, second part. 1% cess on fuels. Madam knows where to hit the middle class. In their stomach and day to day usage. Already, the petrol price touched 89–90 last year and this year since BJP is so poor to afford for the poor, they kept their hands in middle class stomach. An average middle class man spends 2–3 k for petrol and now it will hurt him more because the extra 1 cess is per one liter. We are already paying 100% as tax on petrol and now extra 1% cess. BJP fanboy says “I’m ready to pay if it is for the poor”. You pay why should we? We are already paying enough taxes to the government in the name of income tax, professional tax, road tax, entertainment tax. Please introduce tax for pooping more than 3 times a day too because since you hit us in the stomach, this will also help the poor.So these taxes are not enough?I put petrol for rupees 200 and it lasts for 2 days. I use it to go to my office,class and all those stuff. “Please use government buses” - BJP fanboys. Do you know how the buses are here? Do you know how much crowded it gets? Why should I bear more pain? An average middle class man gets hit a lot by these people because of their budget. Already we are paying 100’s of taxes and we don’t know what the government does because the roads are still shit. It is full of potholes and we can’t even drive. We pay road tax when we buy a vechicle and the we pay road tax in petrol and finally the roads are like hell. It is difficult to get a job and we get a job and finally you take professional tax and income tax.It is hard to buy jewels these days for marriage and for a normal middle class to get 20 or 30 soveriegns of gold for their daughter’s marriage will now be a dream because additional tax on Gold too. Already the gold is extremely high and now this. When will the government focus on middle class? So the rich will get richer and the poor will become poorer.Irony is that it was you people who came to power saying that Congress is keeping hands in people’s activites and now you are doing this.
