What free apps can I use to integrate Dropbox and Salesforce?
Use cloudHQ to integrate Dropbox and Salesforce together. It's the only solution that syncs from Dropbox to Salesforce and vice versa to provide a fully integrated solution.Salesforce to Dropbox for a Backup SolutionYou can choose to backup your entire Salesforce to your Dropbox account, or you can also choose what portion of your Salesforce account you want backed up (i.e. Reports, Documents, Accounts, etc).Once the initial file transfer is complete, you can expect all your files to be mapped directly into Dropbox. See the wizard below:Dropbox to Salesforce for an Integration SolutionOn the other hand, you can also upload files from Dropbox into Salesforce. The most beneficial part about this is that you don't get hyperlinks in your Salesforce account when you use the cloudHQ sync- you'll get the actual files which means 2 things:Search Feature: You can use the Salesforce search feature- on mobile or any other devices- which means that your salespeople can save time searching for their files in non-productive ways. Their files will be indexed and easily findable via the Salesforce search feature.Security: You'll have a solid failover method that replicates your data from Dropbox to Salesforce in real-time, and vice versa; which means that if one platform goes down, your company can still function on the other platform without skipping a beat. Note: Dropbox went down 2 days ago (April 15, 2015). What if your client needed to sign your sales contract, but you didn't have access to it because of this issue? It happens all the time.. . all platforms go down at one time or another, and on a regular basis. How you choose to protect yourself is how you can stay ahead of the game.Lastly, there's really no risk. You have a 15 day unlimited free trial with no credit card signup. You also have a freemium model where you can sync up to 50 files. Try it out and let me know what you think. We pride ourselves on being highly reliable and always have IT cloud experts here to help you with any questions. Best,NaomiDisclaimer: I'm cloudHQ's co-founder.

What are the best productivity tools for designers?
Basecamp.com is an incredibly useful tool for organising projects, managing files and task management. It's also a great tool for communicating with clients, both to deliver designs with version control and manage feedback with commenting and to-do lists. You can also log time spent on tasks. There are very straightforward permissions tools to control what is visible to internal teams and external clients. It's very flexible so you can use it however you need to.Prevue.it is another tool I use a lot. It's a tool for quickly and easily creating click-throughs to preview web designs that's free and has a bunch of customisable features like enabling / disabling comments on specific areas of designs, statistics on what designs have been viewed, custom logo etc. It's a real time saver because I used to have to code them all myself! The only catch is that to get more storage space, you have to refer people to the service. If you'd like to sign up, please use my referral code (http://get.prevue.it/80906) so I can get more space! Finally, usesthis.com has interviews with a bunch of crazy talented designers, developers, illustrators, animators, podcasters, photographers, poets, professors and politicians - all talking about the tools that they use to do their jobs. There's bound to be something to inspire you in there!

Which one mobile app you can't live without?
Well, this is an interesting question. There is not one, but dozens of apps that I can't live without. Here are a few apps that may blow your mind. I'm not mentioning app store, since Apple is such a pain in the ass. I love android over iOS, so here we go.PS some of them require root.Let's begin with entertainmentFildo (not available on Google Play, Root not required)This is basically the alternative for mp3skull which was taken down few years ago. This app let's you download songs. 90% of them are 320 kbps. I've downloaded both English and Hindi songs.NOTE: Its only good for downloading, please do not use the music player, its awful.Mobdro (Not available on Google Play, Root not required )Okay if there are any TV series fans out there. This app is for you. This app let's you watch any channel on the earth and that too LIVE. (Its not any actually but most of the channels that air our favorite American shows are visible.)Tired of torrents being blocked? Unable to download your favorite shows? Watch them live here. From The CW to CBS and ABC to Nat Geo. And from News Channels to Sports channels too. Watch the Big Bang Theory, Game of Thrones, Arrow, Flash, Agents of Shield, Suits, Westworld and thousands of other shows when you want to, because there's a record option too. Just set the time and you're good to go.Showbox ( Not available on Google Play, Root not required)Sick of torrents being blocked? And even if you bypass them, sick of typing so much? We'll here's an option for you guys. You can download movies and TV shows or even watch them online via this app. Various qualities from 360p to 1080p are available. It doesn't have Bollywood movies yet, but let's not stop hoping. For Bollywood movies try the app called Popcorn Time, not as good as Showbox, but better than nothing. There are other apps too, DM me if you wanna know them.Series Guide (Available on Google Play, Root not required)If there are people out there like me, who watch many shows and they can't keep track of what they watched and what is remaining, this app is for you. It is basically a calendar of TV shows. Keeps you posted.Note: Its backup option is awful, in case you reset your phone. There's an alternative TVshow Time. But I prefer Series Guide and it has a cool widget too.Let's stop the entertainment section now. How about daily driver apps.Ampere (available on Google Play, Root not required)This app basically helps you keep your phone battery healthy. It measures the current through which your phone is charging. Sometimes you see that phone takes too long to charge. So it's either your adapter or your cable, this app let's you find out, what's malfunctioning. Try a combo of various cables and adapters and the one which provides low output is the culprit. It keeps my phone and charger healthy by notifying. It has a cool widget too.PS download the pro version, that's ad free.Evernote (available on Google Play, Root not required)I'm sure everyone requires a note app as a daily driver. I recommend this one.Reason: It has immediate cloud storage. Its easy to use. And the main feature is it has chat and work share option. For those who are writers, you can write your drafts send them to your friends via work chat and they can edit it too. All in one app. Go for it.Inshorts (available on Google Play, Root not required)If you want to stay updated with the current news and affairs but you don't have enough time, this app is for you.As the name suggests, it has an algorithm that puts all news in front of you in short, that is in 60words precisely. If you wanna read it in details, swipe left, if you wanna read next, swipe up. Its the best user friendly news app.NTC Nike Training Centre (available on Google Play, Root not required)If you are a fitness freak and if you're not but want to be fit. This is the best app for you. From newbies to experts. From people who have no equipments to people who can gym everyday. This is the best app for being fit. Basically you enter your details and it'll make a workout plan specially for you.And you know what's the best thing? Its integrated to our music player, so you can listen to your favorite songs in your device from this very app itself.Var's VR Video player (available on Google Play, Root not required)If you love to watch 3d movies or VR 360 videos, this is the best app to do that. It can play all types of 3d and VR videos.Enough with the daily drivers, now let's go to photography and photo editing.OGInsta+ (not available on Google Play, Root not required)Tired of taking screenshots of the pics that you like on Instagram? Use this app to download them easily. It has a download option and zoomed images stay zoomed.Note: Do not use it for uploading picture, use the official Instagram app only. Because this app has poor sharing connectivity.500px (available on Google Play, Root not required)Remember the Official Wallpapers app by Google? Ever wondered where do they find such amazing pictures? Yes this is the place. This app is for photographers who are in love with amazing pictures. This is a platform for them to share them. Sadly you can't download pics, but the screenshot option is always there.Find amazing wallpapers for your phone here.Snapseed (available on Google Play, Root not required)I know y'all always want an app that would edit pictures the way you wish. With the demise of Google Picasa, Google brings to you another photo editor right in your phones.Snapseed is the best photo editor I've used. It has a variety of options and the user interface is very classic. And what's the best thing? It can edit RAW images too. Not every editor can do that. So guys with DSLR or phones capable of capturing RAWs, try Snapseed.Enough simple apps, I'll tell you some apps that turn your phone into a beast. With that being said, let's begin.Lucky Patcher (not available on Google Play, Root required)This app works without root also, but I suggest you to use it after root. What's so special?Well, you can modify and emulate apps. You can do free in app purchases in offline apps by enhancing them. You can also remove ads but I won't recommend that.Example: if you're playing Temple Run, you can buy coins for free. Don't waste a single penny.P S Do not use it on online server based games like War Robots, Clash of Clans, Clash Royale. You may get banned.Greenify (available on Google Play, Root required)Always frustrated about battery drain? Greenify will help you. What this app does is, it will monitor the apps that are using too much battery in background i.e. when not in use. You can select what apps you don't want to function in background and greenify makes sure that those apps don't start activity and drain your battery life. Hence you get more standby time.System app remover (available on Google Play, Root required)Always frustrated about the bloatware in your phone eating battery and RAM? Yes there's a way to remove those pre installed apps.System app remover will remove all bloatware in your phone. It has a recycle bin too.Note: Don't delete apps other than bloatware, if you do you may brick your phone or cause serious crashing. Don't say I never warned.Dolby Atmos and Arise Sound Mod (not available on Google Play, Root required, bootloader should be unlocked with a custom recovery installed)Ever heard of Dolby Atmos? Of course you have. And yes it is available on phone too. Make your phone a 3d surround device. Enjoy Dolby effect on your phone with enhanced audio output.Viper4arise is an equalizer that has many controls to play with. Also it gives you 5.1 surround sound on earphones. So you'll get a 5.1 system On The Go.Note: Dolby atmos has a lil echoing or stuttering effect, so don't panic. You always have the option to skip Dolby Atmos and go for Viper4arise mod. Do this only if you can correctly flash files with custom recovery. Don't say I dint warn :pOkay, I guess I've mentioned many apps. I hope you'll find at least one useful for yourself. There are many other apps and games that I haven't mentioned because I'm tired now lol.You can DM me to know about other cool apps and games and also for other stuff regarding android. I'll try my best to help.Don't follow me on Quora for more stuff. :pAnd don’t follow me on Instagram :p here Aakash Manuja Shashikant (@aksksky) • Instagram photos and videosCheers!

What are the useful and productive apps?
One of the most productive people are CEOs. Every day, the average CEO must contend with numerous issues competing for the limited amount of time at their disposal. Since time has no backward button, energy spent on unproductive, distracting or low priority activities cannot be recovered. What’s the secret of their productivity? Personal organization. The good thing is there’s a wide range of productivity apps that can help today’s CEO get there. Let’s take a look at some of the best below.Email ManagementBoomerangBoomerang has to be one of if not the most effective productivity applications for managing the correspondence of CEOs and other C-suite executives who typically receive a fairly large volume of emails on any given day. Boomerang is built to make it easier to follow up and resolve high priority correspondence.Mark an email to send you a reminder in the event a party fails to respond, schedule follow-ups well in advance and time an email to coincide with the working hours of the recipient (useful for international correspondence).SparkEvery CEO knows that not all emails require a full reply if at all. Sometimes, an ‘Ok’ will suffice. Spark takes this into account with its Quick Reply tab where you can send an instant reply with as little as an emoji, an action that simultaneously archives the message.Spark works even better with appointment setting. As opposed to an ordinary meeting invite email, Spark provides a preview of the event as seen in your calendar with Reject and Accept buttons. Tapping Accept adds the event to the calendar, notifies the sender that you’ll attend and archives the mail all at once.Newton (formerly CloudMagic)Newton has all the features one would expect from the most widely used email apps. Read notifications, scheduled sending, snoozed messages, detailed contacts and app integrations all help keep your inbox more focused. Newton is an intuitive and versatile productivity tool that is compatible with Apple Watch. You can also go through your emails as you make your morning coffee thanks to Alexa integration. Issue verbal commands for Alexa to tell you who just mailed you and whether you want the message archived or snoozed. A companion calendar app helps further enhance overall productivity.CommutingOvercastOvercast’s minimalist and sleek design makes it stand out from other podcast apps which often have a more cluttered, chaotic interface. When you launch the app, you are first met with a list of podcasts you follow. Browse for new podcasts by topic and category including business, technology, news, and politics, all of which are things CEOs regularly keep a keen eye on.Other than that, there isn’t much to Overcast which is perhaps a key reason why it’s best suited for the busy executive. Its simple appearance can be deceiving though. Overcast has extra features many podcast apps lack such as 3D Touch for previewing episode details and Voice Boost for ensuring consistent speech volume.Pocket CastPocket Cast combines function and style with a catchy design that displays in tile format the podcasts you are subscribed to. Tap a square to bring up download options and an episode list. The smart playlist feature allows you to categorize and sort downloads for ease of listening. The app also comes with automatic storage cleanup, auto-downloading, and video podcast support.Useful playback features include quick-skip back and forward buttons, a sleep timer and configurable intervals. It’s a cross-platform app that can be synced between OS’s and devices which is great for CEOs who own any combination of iOS, Android and Windows devices.PodbeanPodbean appears more like an app store than a podcast app. With featured shows, top episodes, recommendations and many other categories on the home screen, Podbean prioritizes curation. That being said, Podbean has all the essential features of a podcast app and more. The playback controls are head and shoulders above the competition. You can specify the number of seconds to skip when fast-forwarding which is useful for CEOs who are keen on getting to the meaty part of a podcast quickly. You can also set up automatic downloading of new episodes of a podcast you follow.Day PlanningMetataskMetatask is a simple tool to organize and control internal processes that lets normal users quickly build and execute business workflows. It can be used to break down elaborate business processes into simple tasks, then automatically assign them to individuals or departments. You can set due dates and populate employees' "My Tasks" lists, all without having to assign work manually. Create consistency with a directory of internal processes and tasks that's available to the whole company. Metatask also lets you track task completion progress, as well as share task-related files and comments in real time.AsanaAsana is not your average to-do app. One of the things that set Asana apart from the competition is its project and team orientation. You can add colleagues or other collaborators, and tasks can be divided among sections or projects. All these are crucial for a CEO since oversight and coordination is one of their core functions. You can also set permissions for a project by marking it as either private or public. Private projects are only visible to project members. Tasks have a comment section and you can even upload attachments as needed. You can add task dependencies where action on one task is contingent on the completion of another task. The advanced search makes it easy to find any task you are looking for.WunderlistWunderlist is a step above a good old notepad because you always have it with you. Wunderlist is a cross-platform, easy to use task management application. There is no effort required to keep your lists in sync across all your platforms and devices. It is also well-designed and dead simple to use.But probably the best advertisement for Wunderlist would be that Christian Reber, the founder, and CEO of Wunderlist, uses the application himself for personal stuff and to run the company.TodoistTodoist’s simplicity and ease of use are one of its strongest selling points. It works well on different platforms and devices which is a valuable advantage for users who are always on the go as most CEOs are. It integrates well with numerous apps including Zapier, Slack, Dropbox and Google Drive.Like Asana and Wunderlist, Todoist allows you to share projects or lists with team members. It has an intelligent reminder system that can be tied to a specific location. For example, every time you visit your branch in a different city, the app can remind you of some location-specific questions you need to ask local managers. With the paid plan, you get access to advanced analytics and reports.Organizing DocumentsDropboxDropbox has been an industry leader in the cloud storage space thanks to its ability to keep documents in sync across platforms and devices. Stored files could be documents, videos, and images. There’s no limit to the number of files and folders you can create from right within the Dropbox app.The automatic upload feature allows you to automatically save photos on your device to your cloud Dropbox profile. The 5GB space limit on the free plan is unlikely to suffice for most CEOs. Subscribing to Dropbox Plus with its 1TB storage limit will be the way to go.GoodReaderGoodReader is both a file manager and a PDF reader. It can read PDF and MS Word files as well as play audio, videos, and images. The markup features are particularly useful for CEOs. You can draw on PDF documents, highlight sections and sign documents. The GoodReader app can connect to the internet or enterprise servers and retrieve documents not already available on your smartphone or tablet. You can organize files into folders as well as share zipped files or folders with team members.EvernoteEvernote is one of the more established productivity apps and has remained popular over the years for good reason. You can create new notes in multiple ways including sketching, text, audio, and video. Embed PDF files to your notes collection and capture physical documents with your phone camera.Evernote has a powerful search feature that enables you to find text in any saved document including handwritten items. It facilitates collaboration allowing CEOs to share collections, notes, comments and feedback with their teams. It syncs seamlessly between devices and platforms.MeetingsSkype for BusinessSkype is one of the oldest and best-known video conferencing apps. Despite the proliferation of dozens of popular video calling applications over the years, Skype has maintained its lead over the years, especially in the enterprise space. This familiarity is why most CEOs will feel right at home with this meeting app.Its strong compatibility with Microsoft’s ubiquitous ecosystem is a definite advantage. For instance, one can join an ongoing video call from right within MS Outlook. Use a digital whiteboard to keep track of meeting minutes, decisions and agreed targets. Meetings can involve as many as 250 people. Skype for Business allows desktop and file sharing.GoToMeetingAlmost as established a video conferencing app as Skype, GoToMeeting, however, has a much lower limit on the maximum number of people that can participate in one meeting i.e. 25. The user interface isn’t as appealing as that of other apps in the video conferencing space. However, what GoToMeeting lacks in terms of a friendly user interface it more than makes up for in its features and capabilities. You can record meetings for future reference, mute attendees and, like Skype, share your desktop with participants.RingCentralRingCentral may not be as well-known as Skype and GoToMeeting but it has the all-round communications features that put it up there with the best meeting apps in the market. In fact, RingCentral is not just a meeting app but rather a blend of a comprehensive VoIP solution and a software client. With MS Office compatibility, team collaboration tools, call logging, a robust backbone of servers and smart video conferencing capabilities, this is an app that’s purpose-built for business leaders. Like other proprietary apps, the features available will depend on the plan you subscribe for.Keeping FocusedRescueTimeRescueTime is a practical tool for people who work with little or no day-to-day supervision, a category that naturally includes CEOs. Whereas smartphones, tablets, and laptops help you stay connected with the goings on of the organization, they can also be a time-wasting distraction. It’s easy to waste hours of precious time that would otherwise be used in getting work done. Working behind the scenes, RescueTime gives you valuable insights on the apps and websites that take up the minutes and hours of each day. The best part is that the free version will be sufficient for most CEOs but a paid plan is available for more in-depth analysis.ForestThe Forest app is a tool that you can use to focus on the completion of one task without getting distracted. It encourages you to stop dabbling in other apps while you are working. You set a timer (say 10 minutes) and lay down your phone. You should not browse the internet, answer calls or check messages during this period. If you successfully stay away from the phone for the set time (in this example, 10 minutes), you grow a virtual tree. If you do get distracted, the tree dies. If you consistently grow trees due to always meeting your focus goals, you’ll eventually have a forest of trees (hence the app name). You can always look back and see how productive you’ve been.AppBlockForest app is great when you want to spend a relatively short time focusing on one task. For a CEO though, ignoring all phone calls for hours is neither practical nor prudent. You may need to respond to an urgent call that has implications on closing a major deal or avoiding a catastrophic event.AppBlock is a longer-term solution than Forest. As the name implies, it prevents you from accessing distracting apps for a specified time period. You can still receive calls and access other essential features of your phone. Create different profiles for different days and situations. For instance, you could block certain apps when you are with the family, and block a different set of apps when you are in the office.ExerciseMyFitnessPalMyFitnessPal is a popular dieting and exercise app that does a fairly good job combining your healthy food and fitness needs. With an expansive database of food items, you can keep tabs on the foods you eat including the calorie count. It integrates well with other health and fitness apps, has an inventory of exercises you can engage in and provides access to a community where you can exchange ideas with like-minded people.MomentumMomentum is fairly similar to Forest in the sense that it’s geared to keep you focused on doing one task at any given time. Whereas it can be used for managing general tasks, it is most commonly used to encourage healthy habits such as going to the gym.The rationale is that the longer you can keep a habit going, the easier it becomes to do it. Once you break a habit’s momentum, you may find it difficult getting back on your feet again. With the Momentum app, you’ll be regularly reminded and encouraged to make time for a healthy habit. You can set targets, schedule reminders and append notes as necessary.StridesStrides, like Momentum, is an app that encourages the practice of good habits. If one of your New Year resolutions is losing weight, building bulk, morning jogging or quitting smoking, Strides allows you to create these as goals and keeps track of your progress in realizing them. One of the apps greatest strengths is the statistics that show how well you are doing and help you quickly spot areas of weaknesses.HealthSleep CycleSleep management requires a delicate balance. Too much, too little or low quality sleep can all leave one feeling groggy, lethargic and unproductive. Standard alarm clocks are static and inflexible. Sleep Cycle is a dynamic alarm app that sets a range (30 minutes is the default) as opposed to a specific time interval within which you must wake up.It relies on the smartphone’s microphone to monitor the movements that characterize the lighter phase of sleep which in turn triggers the alarm. It also has a sleep tracker that makes it easy to analyze your sleeping habits.MindfulnessThe CEO role is a high intensity, high-pressure job. Every day, such top-level executives must make decisions that could change the direction of the business for the worse thus jeopardizing their career and reputation. Taking a step back every so often certainly helps. Few things are more effective in achieving this than meditation.Meditation has been relied on by millions of people to slow things down and focus on the things that really matter. The Mindfulness app makes it easier to manage your meditation sessions via a schedule that fits your workday activities. Mindfulness will send reminders throughout the day to ensure you stay the course.NoisliWhite noise is a powerful sleep inducer. It’s also a great way to put your mind at ease and stay level-headed. The Noisli app plays productive and calming tones that put you in the zone, lower your stress levels and keep you focused on the task at hand.Sounds including crashing waves, rain noise, coffee shop chatter, swaying trees and instrumental music, will block out distracting noise and ensure your mind is singly applied to what needs to be done.ConclusionThe above productivity apps are invaluable in helping business executives exert the maximum amount of effort on the things that matter both at a personal and professional level.Of course, all CEOs do not face identical challenges so the relevance and applicability of each productivity tool will vary from person to person. That’s why it’s important that each CEO takes a step back and identifies the areas of their life that are in most need of greater efficiency and focus and adopt the appropriate productivity applications.

I have an idea for an app. What should I do next?
The first step-Build an MVP.People start their business with an idea, however, only a few of them are winning.“Is the idea good just for me or for many people?” - this is the key question that may keep you up in the middle of the night. Many entrepreneurs and individuals dream to establish a winning business with a great startup app idea. Even after spending months or even years, developing or improving their final product, they tend to fall short radically. The most common reason is that the founders do not communicate with their potential customers and tend to directly launch their final product thinking that the users will flock to use their product. It’s better to find out if the product you plan to launch is required by other people or not. The best way to do that is by launching a minimum viable product (MVP).Rather than releasing a full-fledged mobile app with all the features, you can go for building an MVP App, which will save you money and time and help identify the risks associated with your MVP App Development, at comparatively low cost. By adopting this strategy you may sleep well at night without distressing yourself with major product failure. What is a Minimum Viable Product?MVP – A minimum viable product is a technique used by startups and developers in which a new product is launched with just enough features that are core to the product.MVP product development incorporates only the core features set, good UI/UX and standards-based design. It is created to demonstrate the product idea, examine the key assumptions about interactions and determine customer reactions.MVP for startups is an adaptation of the final product that helps you validate your idea with your potential customers with the least amount of efforts. Launching a product based on your gut feeling about what the market might need can be disastrous both from time and money aspects. The MVP concept redefines this and ensures that you launch a thin product to get the feedback about the idea from potential consumers at an early stage, to follow their reaction and willingness to purchase a product. The concept of Launching the “Minimum Viable Product” (MVP) has become popular in the business and startup community over the last few years.MVP – the term was coined by Eric Ries. He is the author ‘The Lean Startup’ and one of the founders of ‘Lean Technologies’.Why it is necessary to build an MVP app?An MVP App is the quickest way from an idea to a business. It provides quick market entry and therefore real user experience that gives an opportunity to assess the potential of a project. An MVP App is the quickest way from an idea to a business. It provides quick market entry and therefore real user experience that gives an opportunity to assess the potential of a project.MVP is the crux of an appAn MVP app doesn’t include secondary functions it concentrates only on one idea. MVP is an app that has a single feature (or very less number of features) yet provides enough value to give it a spin and you start getting the customers with minimum risks.MVP helps you guess less and win moreIt’s not reasonable to spend months developing an app with a bunch of features just to find out that people do not need it. If you ask people the question: What do you want? They will say… Actually, people literally don’t know what they want and won’t be able to give you a clear answer. So only offer a few features, variants, options and then measure the data on which of those features are appealing to the users. The advantages of MVP app DevelopmentRaise funds when you need themMVP App allows you to show a reflection of your final-product to your potential users. MVP helps you to provide the innovative features initially and bring more features in the future. It is affordable to launch a thin version of your Full-Featured Mobile App in the form of an MVP and test the market traction and feasibility. Once you have the required traction it becomes much easier to raise the funds.Evolutionary Product Life-CycleSince the MVP Mobile App only incorporates the core features of your product, it becomes much easier to pivot your product roadmap based on customer requirements. Mobile App Founders can modify their product roadmap or change it completely to ensure that the users get the product they need based on the actual data that is gathered with the MVP.ROI-Driven InvestmentThe development of a full-fledged mobile app can take several months. In some cases, it might take a year or more. The cost of such a development is also very high. The MVP, on the other hand, reduces the upfront cost signNowly. Mobile App MVPs are built on the incremental value-add model. You can polish the design and features with each update. The Second step- Start with a product roadmap.A product roadmap is a powerful tool which shows the likely direction of the product and the vision of the key stakeholders. It helps steer the engineering efforts, win and retain customers, and help in strategic planning at the company level. In a startup environment, it’s about striking a balance between the product’s vision and customer requirements. In an established environment, the product roadmap helps get the buy-in of all stakeholders, get partners on-board and get the budget for the product.Challenges while Creating a Product RoadmapCreating a product roadmap is not an easy task, especially in the agile setting, where:things change rapidlythere are lots of new feature requestsevery feature request looks like a top prioritylast minute requests by the sales team &pressure by the management for new changesBecause of all these constraints and roadblocks, the product roadmap loses its essence and often bites-back with the added weight. What your Product Roadmap should do?The product roadmap tool is extremely important and it should be so compelling that it:drives the company strategy towards one goalgives the direction to the development effortscreates noise in the market with PR effortsgive a sense of confidence to the partners &clearly shows the customers where we are headedSince the product roadmap directs critical aspects of the business, it’s important to spend a good amount of time to show the high-level direction of the product to both internal and external stakeholders.Roadmapping TechniquesThere are certain techniques to create a product roadmap. These help you break-down your feature backlog and make more sense out of it. Here are a few road mapping techniques:Goal Oriented Product RoadmapOpportunity AssessmentScoring Framework to PrioritizeImpact MappingStory TellingTheme AlignmentSteps to Create a Product RoadmapThe agile product roadmap should align with the business goals. Based on different stakeholders, it can capture any or all of the aspects below:Product VisionRelease Plan for Internal & External StakeholdersStrategic InitiativesTarget Market & Growth StrategyNew Technology AdoptionMaintenance & Bug FixesStep 1 – CaptureCapture the feature requirements from multiple stakeholders like customers, sales, partners, management, support, engineering and others that are involved with the product in one way or the other.Step 2 – AlignAlign the requests with the product vision and business goals. Identify the strategic initiatives that you will take in order to signNow the business goals.Step 3 – SplitEither use the monthly or quarterly approach to display the release plan or split your list into these goals:short-termmiddle-termlong-termStep 4 – PrioritizeScore each point with some scoring framework and create a prioritized list, which tells a coherent story.Step 5 – ShareGet the buy-in from the key stakeholders, iterate and share the final roadmap with all.Above mentioned steps are the basic and necessary steps that any new app idea should go through. An MVP development will prove the concept validation of the idea and its viability in the first place. And a roadmap will guide deadline/targets/time allocation in which every process will occur. There’s is more that comes after above-mentioned steps: like app launch strategies/marketing etc. Developing an app is not sprint its marathon that needs continuous and steady growth over the years.“Over the last decade, I’ve launched many apps and SaaS platforms for entrepreneurs and early-stage startups who’ve gone ahead and made hundreds and millions of dollars using these platforms. This nifty app allows you to not only communicate with your team effectively, but also take control of a team member’s desktop if they’re having issues. If your support team is struggling to convey fixes or topics over the phone, or even with screencasting, you can’t go wrong with TeamViewer. If your support team is struggling to convey fixes or topics over the phone, or even with screencasting, you can’t go wrong with TeamViewer.ProofHubProofHub is a task and project management app with inbuilt time tracking which puts teamwork and organization at top priority. The premise is simple; you don’t always have time to post content to your social media accounts, especially if you have multiple, so why not schedule your posts instead?Buffer allows you to easily do this for Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, Google+, Instagram and (if you’re a premium account) Pinterest. Needless to say, it’s insanely helpful to be able to spend a half hour queueing up 10 or so posts, then just leave it be until the next batch you want to release comes along. You can even queue up posts from your iOS or Android device whilst you’re on the go!IFTTTIFTTT (If This Then That) allows you to automate simple processes easily. It operates on a simple model; if a specific event happens (eg, you receive an email), an action is performed (eg, all attachments are saved into Google Drive).Whilst it isn’t quite as powerful as Zapier, the simplicity of IFTTT, along with the ready-to-use automations submitted by other users, make it perfect for simple processes and personal use. For example, whilst our team loves Zapier, using IFTTT’s mobile apps make it incredibly easy to create a note in Evernote from your mobile device, or save an image of a receipt.I hope my answer helps you to be more productive!!!
