let me let me start off by saying what i'm doing here is teasing what we're going to be showing to you guys later on the initial part of this presentation was to hopefully come through and do a walk right i think it was he last year the year before we rolled out our new website which is very user friendly there's a lot of fly outs a lot of information but everything can be easily found for our homepage our website also works very well on mobile devices and i will tell you i sat in this room right now just testing it on my phone just to see how it came up everything came up very well can you click now our website's broken down into some key parts and i've circled them here the very far left you'll see the online services and some other information that is where most everything you're going to need where your clients are going to need can be found the part in the middle there's a giant circle about a budget impasse right now that hasn't changed since let's say july we're hoping to see that go away and some new information come in there real soon news comes in next where we have our tax update articles which i hope everyone in here is signed up for the e alerts and you can also do that from here so that you can get our tax update sent to you when it's published each time plus revenue collection statistics plus any other press releases that we're sending out up in the upper direct dial numbers we don't give those out can you click alright this is a little bit of what you're going to find out on the website you're gonna be able to check the status of your refund and rebate you're gonna find information on filing and paying your taxes yes you can pay your taxes online your clients can make their estimated payments online and we absolutely love it when they do so because the human error gets removed from Miss applying a payment can you click again all right we're gonna go now into our eServices our online service center when you do the fly out there you're gonna see a bunch of options and they're gonna be difficult to read but we have the personal income tax key services and we have the tax professionals and that's what we're gonna go into next can you click Peter okay when you go into tax professionals you're gonna see if you sign into the portal how many of you are registered for our tax practitioner portal okay there are only 4,300 tax practitioners registered in using this portal for six hundred and eleven thousand clients total we get six million personal income tax returns in every year we definitely need you guys out here we definitely need people talking about this and seeing what's available in using this there's a ton of information available for you that will your lives easier it's probably not as great as what you want but I promise you we are working on improvements every day in the Department of Revenue when you go into our portal this page is going to come up and you're gonna click the little tab that says to access client data can you click again Peter registration is very easy if you're already registered if not you click the register tab go ahead and click you're gonna give us your social security number your first and last name your eat-in and your pita nut Ethan and Pete in numbers and you're gonna be registered and then when you go in you're gonna see a few more menu selections click down click again and you're gonna be able to view the PA 40s for all your clients view payments view refund status add a power of attorney verify a balance due and you're gonna be able to view the notices of your clients may be receiving which I'm sure all of you file perfect returns for personal income tax and receive absolutely no notices from us so you probably have to worry about that go ahead and click when you when you go in you select a tax payer you're gonna see this it's going to be listing all your clients everyone that you have put your Pete in and your efi n on will be listed here as long as they've clicked it as long as they've done that selection when they do their efiling or whatever else it all should be here okay and click all right now for individuals how many of you have clients that come in and bug you constantly anyone all right point them to our website they do a simple registration process with their social security number their tax liability unit and they're gonna go right in go ahead and click click again and one more time they're gonna have a whole list of services okay they can make a payment they can make their estimated payments and they can pre-schedule them so you don't have to worry about coupons you don't have to worry about making sure they mail them in you can sit down with them and you can have them put all the information in and they can schedule their payments right here click again and click one more time right there now if you were to bring this up now you're really gonna get fourth quarter when I did this slide obviously there were two quarters but if you had at the beginning of the year you're gonna have all four quarters there that they can schedule so how many of you have clients that forget to make their estimated payments they wish that they had online banking they would stay at some way to do it they do it's all right here they just have to give us the information I'm worried about that we send Billy notices we love that penalty and interest is the greatest thing in the world ok and click OK now we're online customer service center an area that's near and dear to my heart give me another click how many of you go online and look at our FAQ all right do you guys like them oh good let these guys know that we do a good job with those give me another click put your information in it searches it's not Google but it's pretty darn good all right now when you go in and log in and you set out you can set up a profile now click and you submit a question go through you go back one sorry go through and we have a whole bunch of categories over 30 categories that you can choose for submitting a question to the department certain classifications the more generic ones come to my staff to answer but if you go in for something cific it will get to the subject matter experts for the department that should have the qualifications to answer those questions all right and you notice the one third from the bottom tax practitioners we have the tax practitioner direct line to us we try our best to answer these within 48 hours okay weekends we don't work guys I'm sorry I wish we did but they won't give me any overtime and they don't think we should do that but it's there okay it will get to where we need to go and we'll get back to you as fast as possible now when you go through click again you select your categories tax practitioner you'll see here I just sent in how are you doing is a little fun thing don't send us that okay I'm not going to respond to those I'm not gonna make my agents respond to that click again but you're gonna get a confirmation that your question was submitted so if there is something wrong and you email us back in or you call in you can specifically ask why this question wasn't answered alright now we also have our self-service phone numbers and I've put a little plug in here for our alerts for those of you who haven't signed up for those please do so there's a lot of good information that we send out and lastly I have to do this tax fraud I'm sure some of you know it goes on remember you can always report tax fraud to us via our website also so if you know something there's some unscrupulous preparer down the street or maybe even sit next to you here and you want to let us know about it please feel free to do so we'll do our best we have some auditors
