It is imperative that you understand what OAuth is, and what “flows” or “workflows” or “grants” in OAuth are. Then, you’ll know that you need to program the “Authorization Code Flow” of OAuth 2.0 to have your server-side Java code to become an OAuth client. This is a YouTube playlist I created that explains what OAuth is, what the flows are, how the Authorization Code Flow works and also has a demo in C#, which should be very easy to port to Java.OAuth 2.0 - YouTubeAll the best.In particular, an overview of what OAuth is, the explanation for the code and the code itself are in the two videos given below. What is OAuth?OAuth 2.0 Authorization Code FlowDemo - OAuth 2.0 Authorization Code Flow

What is single sign on (SSO)? How do I implement it in Python?
What is single sign on (SSO)?Single sign-on (SSO) is a session and user authentication service that permits a user to use one set of login credentials (e.g., name and password) to access multiple applications. The service authenticates the end user for all the applications the user has been given rights to and eliminates further prompts when the user switches applications during the same session. On the back end, SSO is helpful for logging user activities as well as monitoring user accounts. We can implement Single sign-on (SSO) in Python by using django-simple-sso.

How do I implement a login/sign in with Twitter using JavaScript?
To expound on some of the other answers posted, there are two main ways that can easily implement twitter login using Javascript.Twitter’s way(I’ll spare you explanations here as it’s probably better having Twitter’s Dev site explain their own system)or my preferred way via Firebase:Authenticate Using Twitter in JavaScript | FirebaseThe only caveat is if you do use Firebase, your project will now be running Firebase and the authentications will be accessed via the firebase API versus you controlling the nuances of the database and authorization. It is easy to use, but may not be your actual preference depending on your project requirements.

How do I implement social login/sign-up on our web service in the most logical way?
You don't have to worry so much about what network you used to sign in as it will all be matched together on the backend based on your name and email address. If you are using a provider such as JanRain or Gigya they will handle the matching for you during the login process or if you are building a custom connection, you essentially just match via email address or even name/email address depending on how you have your validation process and table structure set up. You should always have the traditional option of registering via a user name and password form available. If you wanted to take the extra step in the process to validate the email address you can. Essentially you just send a one time secure link to the email address of the user and build logic that doesnt allow the user to access your services until that link is triggered. But the reason why we use Social Login is to not have to go through that validation process so I would only use it for the user name and password form users. I would also push against the confusion of trying to remember what network used as being a mass problem. While the more tech savvy might have multiple social accounts and switch them based on the type of account they are creating, the mass audience typically has their one account they prefer (Facebook). For almost every type of site, Facebook has a huge lead in terms of usage in the 50-75% range with Google having about a 20 -30%share and then Twitter, Yahoo, LinkedIn, etc.. all have really low levels of usage for social sign on. For B2B sites, usage of LinkedIn, Facebook and Google+ are almost equal. You can read more here: Social Login Trends Across the Web for Q2 2014 | JanrainKeep your social login options to a minimum, choose 2 networks, Facebook and one other, do research in terms what your competitors are using for that other network, make sure you can get the users email address and name from the API and always give the traditional log in form as an option and you should fine.
