hello humans let's chuck anglex registering for NCLEX can be a very intimidating process and basically this is because it is just something that is very obscured nobody really talks about it until you're already there and you have to apply you don't really know which steps to take and guys every state is different and every single state has their own different Board of Nursing their own requirements the Board of Nursing doesn't even have the same name as the other Boards of Nursing some of them ask for fingerprints some of them don't some of them just want the fingerprints and some of them won the palme and vein scan and because every single state is different I cannot possibly give you a step-by-step breakdown of every single state or you would be sitting here for hours and so would I what I do want to do is give you some guidance and steps that you can follow to find out how to do it in your state so that it's a little bit less intimidating before we begin I'm sure you're familiar with this right here it is my channel please hit that subscribe button that one right there let's continue so the very first step that I wanted to teach you guys to follow is to find the contact number for your specific Board of Nursing this is going to be the Board of Nursing of this state where you plan to take your NCLEX and so we're going to go online and literally type these words to find out what the contact number is for your state I'm saying to do this because I signed up for mine anglex through a website for my board of nursing for my state but there's no such thing as that website for all the other 49 or 50 states and so if you just take the time to make that one phone call it's gonna be a menu option yeah menu of options you basically dial the numbers and you can ask to speak to a representative and then they can give you better guidance as to what website to go to in order to follow the steps hopefully though the first thing they're gonna tell you to do is to apply for the specific Board of Nursing of your state then you're going to have to pay the fee which I'm pretty sure is different for each State I paid $90 I don't know what your state is gonna have you pay after that depending on the state my state required this and they actually sent me an email back to telling me the exact steps to follow so hopefully yours does that too I got an email telling me to go to identica however you pronounce that and I just had to sign up as I'm showing right here and you just choose fingerprints you put your state and you just make an appointment and you go I had to pay fifty something dollars for this and basically you just go in there and you give them your license that's all you need that's all I needed and they scan each one of your fingers now if you need a palm vein scan I have no idea how you have to go about that so I'm so sorry but hopefully it will give you the steps now for my state there were actually a couple of papers that I had to mail in and just in case your state asks for these two I'm gonna go over them really quickly and just explain what they were the one of them was a paper where I had to put a little passport picture of myself with my name signature date these passport pictures you can get very easily at CVS or Walgreens for 15 bucks I recommend going to Walgreens instead of CVS and the only reason for that is because at CVS they're gonna give you one four by six picture basically with the two passport pictures that you have to actually cut out and then at Walgreens they just give you an envelope with both individual pictures so you don't have to worry about cutting it very this is exactly so anyway you get that picture you tape it to that paper you sign it and date it and then that comes with two other papers they both have to be signed by a notary so hopefully in your school in your college where you go to school there should be somebody somewhere that is certified notary if that's what it's called and they basically you don't have to fill those papers out until you're in their presence and then when you're in their presence they're gonna tell you where to sign where the date and then they're gonna write whatever they need to read and they're gonna stamp it and you're gonna make that out other things that you need to mail out or upload actually in their website but I preferred to mail it out because that way I had everything in my little stack and I had everything in the same place and I just mailed it out all at once is a picture of the front and back of your license birth certificate or passport proof of residency front and back of your social security card among others that they are going to list in there now I just want to take a moment to explain what compact states are regarding NCLEX compact states are basically a bunch of states that have agreed upon accepting each other's and clicks scores from different states so basically if you take your n clicks in Texas then you can work in all of these other states that are blue but if you take your anklets in a state that is gray that means that they're not part of the endlichs compact States and it only works for that one specific state and that is true of every single state that is gray so if you can take your n clicks in a compact state because then you'll be able to move a lot more unless you're sure that you're going to work in one of these states that are is not compact in which case good for you after you have sent all of these in you're gonna have to go to Pearson VUE this is basically the online platform where you actually sign up for the NCLEX we're going to have to pay a 200 dollar fee and that is where eventually you're going to choose your test date now really quick summary from the moment you start all of this to the moment that you take your test first apply to your State Board of Nursing second sign up with peers of view third finish your degree once you finish your degree your school is going to send your State Board of Nursing something that is called a certificate of endorsement they're basically saying yes this person finished their degree in nursing they're done and ready and then the State Board of Nursing is going to send you your approval to test ATT and once you have your ATT you can finally go back to Pearson VUE and pick a date ah that is how you sign up for endlich's it's really not as intimidating as it sounds there's always somebody that you can ask questions to I called my State Board of Nursing and they answered all of my questions I had some
