What is a good ERP solution to use for a e-commerce startup with a Magento store?
There are numerous ERP solutions that are compatible with Magento, but most of them are highly priced. Shopify, for example, it is a hosted solution (where your store is hosted by them). A lot of the apps are not free, and they charge you a monthly fee for you to use them. You should probably check out ShoppingCart`Elite.Their platform is easily customizable to your specific needs. You can quickly scale with them when you’re ready, and they have powerful Enterprise-level features that come out-of-box. If you want free templates, they have many you can choose from, however, I wasn’t able to view them before signing up and that was a little uncomforting. But after I did, I found several that I liked. Their price point is also very reasonable. I highly suggest you check them out.

How can we use machine learning in ERP?
There are some functions whereby you improve algorithms by better historical data - I don’t think that’s the same as ‘machine learning’ but I suppose it could pass as a simplified example of that term.Mostly in things like lead times from suppliers based on date of PO issue calculated against receiving records will show what you expected (a 15 day lead time) has actually taken 17 days the last three orders and now your suggested order report is tellling you to place that order 18 days ahead of required date.Demand curves as well - the more actual data you input, on seasonality, reactions to market conditions, the better your forward-matching algorithm can be utilized. That type of thing is there already, but I don’t know of any clamoring from the marketplace for more machine learning in ERP .

Is Oracle EBS or Fusion a good ERP to use? How about developing my own ERP?
You’ve just asked “Is an nuclear aircraft carrier a good boat? Should I build a nuclear aircraft carrier?”Snark aside, Oracle is a huge ERP program for Fortune 5oo Companies with hundreds and hundreds of users, global signNow and $1B annual revenues and up.There are hundreds and hundreds of smaller ERP programs for everything in between - most ERP systems have dozens of full time developers working decades (most of the newer technology ERP copies/replicated underlying code from earlier efforts). So Oracle is an Aircraft Carrier. There are also ERP battleships, destroyers, missile cruisers, yachts, frigates, all the way to bouy tenders, weekend ski boats and canoes. You could likely build a raft given a couple years.I’d find an affordable boat to buy and just go to the lake this weekend, but that’s me.

Why does music use key signatures?
I think it is important to point out that you are talking about the visual aspect of a key signature. Yes, sight reading a key signature is more difficult for a beginner than literal notes. But a key signature is not fundamentally a visual tool. And its purpose is not to make sight reading easier for beginners. For the purpose of highlighting the possible benefits of key signatures, it helps to consider the context within which a key signature might be used.If the context is a single song with only one instrument, that only one person will play, that will never be transposed, and that no one will ever improvise or revise, the key signature won't be very useful. But if the context is anything else, a key signature can be quite useful. A key signature isn't about accuracy, it's about flexibility. Here are some of things you can do with a key signature.Transposition. This isn't just for Classical music. Transposition can be very useful in a wide variety of genres. There are numerous reasons why a piece might be transposed. Key signatures provide visual guidance in transposition. Yes, you can transpose without a key signature, but it's not as efficient.Improvisation. A key signature is a quick way to get musicians on the same page together. As a single piece of verbal information, the key signature can provide a wealth of information about what to play.Chords. A key signature is often associated with scales, but chords and scales are just two ways of playing the same notes. A key signature carries guidance on both.Learning Music Theory. For advanced players, key signatures become natural (sorry, had to pun it). But for beginners like myself, a key signature is a great way to visualize the patterns that carry across compositions. As a bonus, on the piano, a key signature points out the sharps and flats. If there is a downside to key signatures, it is that you have to put in a lot of work before you can really start using them for advanced purposes (transposition, improvisation, sight reading). I think it's worth pointing out that music theory, even without learning key signatures, is a challenging endeavor. But if one is going to spend the huge amount of time required to learn music theory... learning key signatures will give a huge return, far beyond the extra effort. And, speaking from personal experience, I find key signatures are extremely helpful in explaining the overall harmonic/melodic structure of music theory.

How is blockchain being used in ERP now? How do you think blockchain will advance in ERP? What can we expect to see?
So, while Blockchain has been very popular in the buzzwordery of the tech press - as far as I can tell, from inside the ERP industry - it’s a technology in search of a reason for being.IBM has done some work with Blockchain tracking in the Food industry - which seems to be a workable solution if and that should be a big IF - the smaller players in the food chain, thinking specifically of shippers and packers - if those guys can afford IBM prices - which they cannot. So in this case, Blockchain’s use would be as a market protection device designed to allow the larger producers who can afford IBM to block smaller participants from playing. Now, I’m working ‘on the street’ with ERP users who are implementing today - that means technologies like Blockchain are not something I’m readily researching - thus I haven’t found the need to know situation that would prod me to fully understand and get up to speed to implement blockchain driven technologies - but I keep tracking it in case it starts to show up on my radar -And I saw this several days ago - Once hailed as unhackable, blockchains are now getting hacked - which does not bode well for the technology going forward. So, multi entity supply chain tool? Perhaps. Internal ERP technology? Haven’t seen it. Yet.UPDATE: New article about Bumble Bee and SAP using blockchain to allow consumers to QR-code their bag of tuna (actual tuna steaks, not canned tunafish). This great technology will be of ultimate value to the consumers who ate fish last week and said ‘I wonder where this fish came from?’Bumble Bee Foods and SAP Create Blockchain to Track Fresh Fish from Ocean to TableClass assignment. How many more bags of fish will Bumble Bee have to sell to pay for the cost of collecting data starting in the Indonesian Ocean, from the boat that caught it to the ocean going IQF(Individually Quick Frozen) processing ship, to the shoreside shipping facility, through the distribution centers to the supermarkets - across the world’s supply chains so Norbert can scan a code in his kitchen and eat a more satisfying fish dinner? Extra points if you can think of any other technologies that allow the SAP/Bumblebee team to go present at next year’s SXSW hullabaloo.

If Amazon is using SAP ERP, how would they use the ERP system to process your order?
I don’t have the specific answer to this question but as being an ERP expert I would take a good guess.I would guess their order entry is all highly custom code all built on their AWS server infrastructure. They likely aggregate order information on a regular basis and push summary data into SAP at a level granular enough to give them the reporting they need but not so detailed that it would completely overwhelm the system and performance.I just can’t imagine any system that is ‘off the shelf’ scaling to the very unique needs and scale of Amazon
