What is it like to drive with Google Glass, i.e., is it dangerous, distracting, easy to use, et cetera?
Glass is a lot of fun, but I don't like to wear it while driving. If you're concerned about safety, I probably wouldn't recommend it. If you don't own a pair yourself, you probably aren't familiar with how the heads up display (HUD) places itself in your field of vision. I'd take a gander most people think it would look something like this. A nice overlay with clarity of your surroundings. When in fact, it's more similar to this: Even then that's not the best representation. To focus on the HUD, everything else in your field of vision will blur since it's so close to your face. I do agree that Glass helps keep looking in the direction of the road, but the constant switching of your focus from close to far is distracting and puts a lot of strain on your single eye. I'm not entirely convinced that this is signNowly safer than glancing at your dash navigation. At least with the dash navigation, my eyes won't get tired.Since it is a display on a clear panel (glass), the clarity of your navigation is also fairly dependent on the lighting and backdrop of your environment. A backlight display will provide consistent clarity. At the end of the day, you can make a strong case for how Glass provides a better viewing experience to driving. That being said, there are still quite a few other shortcomings. The battery life on the glass still isn't that great; if you're planning a long road trip, it's hard to guarantee that your glass will be able to navigate you through the whole duration of your drive. If you plug it into your car and your cable isn't long or flexible enough, you'll be restricting your movement which is a much greater safety concern. I haven't found Glass to provide the most consistent voice feedback in noisy environments. With built in systems, they can cleverly reduce the sound of your music to provide voice turn by turn instructions. Finally, you can't share your navigation experience with Google Glass. A large screen visible to many or a phone that can be passed off to someone else is definitely one advantage over Glass. So would I recommend driving with Google Glass? Not if you want to use the Google Navigation. If it's on your face with the occasional text or time display, I think you'll be alright.

How does one use an image stored in Google Drive in a Google Sheet?
Google uses links that expire when serving up images in the browser for Google Drive. I can get several images to display in a spreadsheet using resource links I find in the browser, but sadly, they stop working after a few minutes. No matter which link I use.I think Google would prefer you use Google Photos for this. But they don't make it easy to insert an image into a cell. Instead, you get a floating image above your spreadsheet. From the menu, choose: Insert > Image > Your AlbumsRight-clicking and copying the URL is disabled after you image is floating in the spreadsheet. You may be able to get it by searching the resources in the console. My personal method of choice (for building online stores) is dropping my images into a folder on my shared hosting account using an online IDE I love called ShiftEdit - Online IDEI then prepare a spreadsheet with links to all the store images in the cells wrapped in =image("http://www.mysite.com/myimage.jpg") so customers can edit the spreadsheet and I can upload a CSV into their store. The spreadsheet is a Google doc so they can view the images related their products.

How can you convince your employees to stop using Microsoft Office and use Google Docs and Drive instead?
This is a common problem that occurs even for us young hip folk still in college. Without a doubt, Office is tremendously more powerful. For instance, I do all of my data analysis using Excel and Matlab and there is no way I'm writing my thesis using Docs. But there are times when teams need to be able to work together and Google Docs has huge advantages. The best way to implement that is peer pressure.Need to make a team presentation?Go to google drive and make a presentation. For anyone who has tried, importing slides from *.pptx is a pain in the neck so Google presentation it is. Hmmmm, all of the other team presentations are on the team folder? You might as well start using Google Docs all the time.Team writeup? You have a deadline coming up and a report is due? Create a doc and have five of your buddies start writing things up and use all of the bells and whistles that come with Google Docs like commenting and chat. That one fellow writing up his report on office is going to feel pretty stupid when they come by to copy and paste their section of the report in. (still not a good idea to send the report without formatting it first on word though)Making a shared database?Cataloging something? Trying to make a gantt chart? Make it a Google spreadsheet. Frankly, I'm too lazy / don't know how to download it as a *.xlsx so you might as well place it up on the cloud. Oh wait? All of your colleagues are doing it too? Might as well put up all of your databases on the cloud.Pretty much every team project that I've worked on has at least one neophyte that doesn't know how to use Google docs (this is Stanford University we're talking about). The best way to convert people to start using Google Docs is to make it extremely difficult to contribute to the team without being able to effectively use the software. No one wants to be left sitting on the bleachers.Unfortunately, my advisor still doesn't know how to use Google Docs.

How do I use Google Drive in order to store my data?
There are three popular ways of doing it.Download the Google Drive application for Windows and sign in with your Google ID and password. You can use Google Drive like any normal folder on your computer. But, be aware that copying files to/from this folder will use your internet data. Also, check the sync settings. If sync is turned on, all the files will be saved locally as well so that you can use them offline.Go to One place for all your files (Google Drive link) and manually copy your files there using your browser. You can download these files whenever and wherever you want for later use. This is my best suggestion. Use Freefilesync (FreeFileSync) and install it on your computer. You can set a full drive or a particular photo to sync with Google Drive. This will only synchronise new or changed files. You can sync your files say once a week or whenever you make major changes and all your files will be backup up to Google Drive and be up to date.
