today so Jeanette I will have you take it away and we're calling in have some folks that are joining in as we get started but they you know since we're just at the beginning then they should be okay but I need to know Tyra thank you very much it's a pleasure to be here I have enjoyed talking to you and getting to know you and I am delighted this morning to present to our assistants on creating and fire compliance where from everyone thank you for joining us as possible with these very important topics my name is Jeanette McIntosh and I'm on a conference as well as a certified concept I work with small government contractors all over England but I'm especially happy to be affiliated with GCE and you know to help cons on their journey to successful government contractors the information contract and has to do training and things like that he's not necessarily working on the contract then yes those would be overhead cost okay gotcha and then the overall for the GNA how do you um oh okay I think I figured it out in my head okay nevermind okay and then my last question about the unallowable expenses the bad debt what if it's a bad debt related directly to the contract that you're working on I was talking to one of my contractors the other day that has you know they are small business they're working on an 8a contract and the government one of the agencies has not paid them the way they should be paying them and we've got about thirty thousand and outstanding now courses the government so I'm pretty sure they will MIT paid and I gave them some advice about how they can further escalate the escalating situation to ensure that they do get paid and just where they need to go and how to approach things but even if it's a bad debt related to that contract that cannot be counted it cannot be counted as I know the cost is going to be on an order and therefore it would not appear in any invoicing or in any proposal the contractor will prepare stature okay thank you sure so now we move on to number two of ten customer and project settled again we have a requirement for identification and accumulation of direct cost line contracts and also segregation of pre-production costs from production costs and we use your customer and project setup in order to achieve these requirements this is important because as I said PCA requires that we have the identification and activation of direct costs and also segregation of pre-production cost from production cost customer and project setup is done using customers jobs and items in my favorite software which we'll talk about later and we also want to make sure that we set of the building level these are going to items addressed in your contract using design the building level the funding level which is not necessarily going to be the same as your contract value sometimes you know we have two leads on funding so you also want to make sure that your pins which are going to be separately stated as where the contract line items are correctly settled and also your option use sometimes your contract we want someone here twenty two the next if you're fortunate and so you're needed to set up all of these different things in your contract these are very specific elements and terms in your contract mostly reflected in your customer cycle when you're reading your contract event to determine the billing levels and the amount of funding what periodical sizes the contract line-item sources are important to notice your cost and living are to be tracked at the skin level or at the project level to the higher level and as Union as I said option pieces these cost and wedding you have to be separated all total so it's really important that and they can't see it enough that every we're not ever
