Except as provided otherwise in the attached list, the time and place of inspection are: TIME: _________________ PLACE: ______________________________________________________________________________ Following commencement of the action, a party may not submit, without leave of court , more than one request for production of documents and things. The request shall set forth the items to be inspected either by individual item or by specific category, and describe each item and specific category with reasonable pa rticularity. The request shall not, without leave of the court, include more than ten (10) distinct items or .specific ca tegories of items. The request shall specify a reasonable time, place, and manner of making the inspection and performing the related acts. If a party believes that good cause exists for the service of more than one request for production or for more than ten (10) distinct items or categories of items, that party shall consult with the party upon whom the reque st would be served and attempt to secure a written stipulation to that effect. The party whom this Request is served shall serve a written response within 40 days afte r the service of the Request, except that a defendant may serve a response within 60 days after service upon such defendant of the Summons and Complaint or other documents initiating the civil action. The response shall stat e, with respect to each item or category, that inspection and related activities will be permitted as requested unle ss the request is objected to, in which event the reasons for objection shall be stated. The documents or things sought by this request include documents and things in possession, custody or cont rol of the party or person, his attorney and all agents, servants, representatives, investigators and others who may have obtained custody of the documents and things on behalf of the opposing party or his attorneys. Where the te rms "you", "Plaintiff", "Defendant" or any other designation for a party are used, they are meant to include every individual party, and separate responses should be given for each person named as a party, if requested. Where an individual request calls for a response which involves more than one item, the response of each party should be clearly se t out so that it is understandable and so that the items are differentiated. Each party upon whom this request is served is hereby notified that should such party fail to com ply with this request or any part hereof, then the undersigned party may seek sanctions under RCP 37.
