hi there this is lori at mobile tax dot pro just giving you a quick how-to video for signing your electronic documents after we have your tax return review i will upload your signature documents into your client portal if you have never been in your client portal before you will get a link that says hey create your password and go into your portal and sign your documents if you have already been into your portal you will only get this link that says hey your 2020 signature documents are in your portal go ahead and sign them but this person has never been in their um portal before so i'm going to pretend be them but in the last four digits of the social security note um number and then make up a password for them oops and then i'm gonna add um make sure it's eight and submit that use the same password to log in um who is this for yes and then there is their documents to sign as you can see there are six documents required six signatures required however there are eight documents so not every document will have a signature for you and if you can see there's a document for the husband and a document for the wife so there are probably only three pages here that actually need signatures once you click on it it will bring up these knowledge based questions that you have to answer and you have to answer three out of four of them correctly to sign and i think you can only miss it after your third attempt you will not be able to sign your documents so do this very carefully these are all questions that you should know the answer to like what your bank account who your bank account is with or who your mortgage is with or where you've lived and that kind of information once you have answered those questions so i'm pretending to be the husband now and i'm signing for him and then it should take you to the next question now it won't ask ask you those questions um every time you sign it will only ask once for the husband and once for the wife and then the rest of your signatures you should be able to go through and sign so i just want to mention that as you are looking through these documents for documents that need signatures make sure that you look the very last document all the way down at the bottom because there are usually a couple signatures that you might miss and through the magic of pausing i've completed all of the signatures once all of your signatures are completed down here you'll want to click submit signatures and it says do you want to confirm you're about to submit your signatures and once that's done it can't be undone so i want to say yes and your documents have been signed and sent to me to let me know now if you've missed a signature anywhere on that document you will get an error message saying hey look back through look for any yellow boxes and make sure you get those signs okay that's what you need to know about electronically filing your e-signature documents
