Frequently asked questions
How do you make a document that has an electronic signature?
How do you make this information that was not in a digital format a computer-readable document for the user? "
"So the question is not only how can you get to an individual from an individual, but how can you get to an individual with a group of individuals. How do you get from one location and say let's go to this location and say let's go to that location. How do you get from, you know, some of the more traditional forms of information that you are used to seeing in a document or other forms. The ability to do that in a digital medium has been a huge challenge. I think we've done it, but there's some work that we have to do on the security side of that. And of course, there's the question of how do you protect it from being read by people that you're not intending to be able to actually read it? "
When asked to describe what he means by a "user-centric" approach to security, Bensley responds that "you're still in a situation where you are still talking about a lot of the security that is done by individuals, but we've done a very good job of making it a user-centric process. You're not going to be able to create a document or something on your own that you can give to an individual. You can't just open and copy over and then give it to somebody else. You still have to do the work of the document being created in the first place and the work of the document being delivered in a secure manner."
How do i do an electronic signature in word?
I have the idea of a system where an email signature is generated with a keyboard shortcut and sent to multiple recipients. I have been trying a keyboard shortcut in Word that I am pretty sure was used by Microsoft. It's called "Escape". Any help on the name would be appreciated.
Cheers,
Matt
Hi Matt,Thank you for your kind and valuable help. I know that the original word "Escape" appears on your keyboard, you are welcome to take a look at your own keyboard to confirm that it is indeed the one you also know that a keyboard shortcut to "escape" was once used in MS Word, but I do not think I have seen a copy of that keyboard shortcut (as it's been quite some time since the computer I used to write for used it), so that would be the only way I could imagine a new "Escape" keyboard shortcut coming into anyone has any more information on the "Escape" keyboard shortcut, I'd be happy to take a ,Matt
How do you digitally sign each pages of a pdf?
and the answer is you can't," said Mr. Turok. "It is a matter of using the tools we develop to get the data into a digital format. Once that happens, you can use those tools to create a signature."
For Mr. Turok, one of the key aspects of the process is the use of biometrics, and the use of software. When he was a young man studying in the US, he had no interest in biometrics technology. In recent years, however, the industry has come a long way. Biometrics are being used extensively for identity verification, including in the areas of identity theft detection.
"If I walk over to my office and get into my office machine, I would say it's a good piece of technology," said Mr. Turok. "When it comes to digital signatures, we are not there yet, and we are a long way from being there. But we are a long way from it."
In the meantime, Mr. Turok is not letting his lack of technical skills stop him from pursuing what he does best: writing about technology, and the people who use and innovate it.
