Which is your favorite painting, drawing or sketch that is made by you?
There are ones that are made just to look good… and then there are other with tales behind it.It's strange… but I prefer the ones that are lame but makes you wanna wonder. No doodlings here, just tales… tales of my life and many others. The comforting someoneThe being at a cross road. I have been there twice. The solitudeThe person willing to give you the worldThe want of being lost somewhere people won't know. Leave it all behindThe attempt to safeguard the inner innocence. Atleast whatever's left. The eyes full of dreams .The tears that no one notices.P.s. Relatable?I have been lying sick for 2 days :P … I hate being sick

What makes people ruin their lives?
Most of the common mistakes people do to ruin their lives come from one place.A place of scarcity.Being in a a relationship with someone who doesn’t love you back? You’re only with them because you don’t feel like you can get anybody better. Check.Cheating on their partner? You’re not honest about it because you feel like you have too much to lose. Check.Hanging out with toxic friends? You’re only hanging out with them because you don’t think you can get other friends. Check.Settling for less than they deserve in life? You settle because to go after what you want might mean you have to give up what you already have. Check.I can go on and on because this disease is so pervasive. It infects every nook and cranny of society, from the big bosses to the everyman.Don’t believe me?Even famed invested Warren Buffet isn’t immune to acting out of scarcity. He admits in 2008 he made many “dumb mistakes” that he probably wouldn’t have had the economic climate been different. It’s because the fear of losing is so mentally taxing that it inhibits our ability to make crisp clear quality decisions. When you act out of a place of scarcity you stop playing to win, instead you play not to lose.Playing not to lose isn’t the same as winning. It’s a reactive position. You react to the stimulus around you as to minimize your losses. Playing to win is a proactive position. You roll the dice when necessary and make others react.Playing not to lose stems out of insecurity. The belief that you are not enough as is.It shows its ugly face when the jealous boyfriend forbids his girlfriend from chatting with other men.It weasels its way into your career when your boss refuses to promote you fearing his team won’t accomplish the same without you.The thing is acting out of scarcity could, in fact, bite you in the leg.The girlfriend feels the boyfriend is being too possessive so she leaves. You start to realize your boss will never promote you so jump ship as soon as possible. The only solution then is act from a place of abundance.Actions that stem from a place of confidence are confident actions and the best part about it is it places you in the driver’s seat. You’re in control when you act from a place of abundance because it focus on what you do.It’s letting your girl do whatever she wants because you’ll always respect yourself enough to walk away from a bad situation and when she sees how little you care for the competition it makes you seem even cooler. It’s promoting your best employees because you understand that that’s how you get more superstars. So how do you stop acting from a place of scarcity and start acting from a place of abundance?Slow down. Whenever you feel that twang of anxiety when you make a decision ask yourself this: “If I had a lot of options or if I was in a better situation would I still make this decision?” Obviously this isn’t fool proof. Sometimes you got to do what you got to do, but for everything else this is solid. Relationships, negotiations, just imagine how you would react if you had a lot of options and then do that.Calm down. The extra mental stress scarcity causes inhibits your ability to make decisions so being relaxed when you make decisions is key.You might enjoy How Building Overconfidence Builds Success

Do you have an unofficial “OCD” for something? What is it?
I am not sure if it counts as an unofficial OCD but I do have some weird mental OCDsEverytime I read something, be it a sign board, name of a shop, name of a city or any word, I have this thing that I tap my feet (mentally) on every letter. For example, if the word is - unofficial. I will mentally tap my left foot on U, then right foot on N, then again left foot on O..till I complete the whole word. It's weird. And I feel uncomfortable if the word doesn't end on the right side. If it doesn't, I add a full stop to it to feel mentally less stressed.I have strange picture of months in a year in my mind. I can only draw it to explain. The months are arranged in my mind in a weird manner. Since I'm a commerce student, I have to count the number of months in some questions and this pattern set in my mind really becomes a hurdle there. So I have to count on my fingers. This is the arrangement. But it is aligned quite neatly in my mind. And this has been fixed since years. This is a small idea of what I'm talking about. Below each heading are the days arranged like in normal calendars.I don't know why but it really helps me remember birthdays :PStrange enough? XDThankyou Sarhad Choudhary for this interesting question. I never really gave this thing much thought until today.

What is the difference between Narcissism and Asperger's syndrome?
I've grown up with a brother with Asperger's and a father who I have realised today (!) is a textbook case of Narcissistic Personality Disorder. They are so different. I always thought it might have been about how they were raised, but I've always thought my father had to have something more than Asperger's to explain his behaviour. Antisocial Personality Disorder, Psychopathy, Sociopathy ... none of these quite fit in all of their features. Today I googled "coldness lack of empathy diagnosis" and got a whole lot of pages about NPD and the more I read, the more sure I was.Reading this is bizarre. It's like a complete stranger has compared and contrasted my brother and my dad.Is it Asperger’s or Narcissism or Both? In my own words ...When I was young, my father was capable of horrible abuse without any sign of remorse. He could always justify his own behaviour to himself. Outside the family, he was charismatic, and while a lot of people have disliked him, he is able to come across as charming to those who he needs to like him. He's important enough for there to be a wikipedia article about him. At home, he used to flip out over the smallest things and smack us around and he used to violently rape my mother for years. She always told me that he really did love us, that there was just something wrong with him, that he was unable to control his temper. She also needed someone to talk to and there I was. I was more or less her therapist. When I was 11, she finally got the guts to take him to court. She didn't tell the whole story - she went for the smallest thing, just to scare him a bit because she was too dependent on him to have him go to jail. She also told me at the time that she was also afraid, if he went to jail for a couple of years, that he might hunt us down and kill us when he got out because losing his career would destroy him. She may have been right. In any case, her strategy worked. The judge asked him if he did the things that had been claimed and he thought he could justify it. "Yes, but ..." and the gavel came down. I wish I could have seen his face. He realised there could be consequences for him, so he simply stopped abusing us, just like that. He clearly could have done that at any time, but without a reason to do it for himself, he simply hadn't cared about us.My brother may not always notice if he hurts or offends someone, especially if they express this subtly, but if he is made aware of it, it upsets him. Once he's cooled down from his own emotions, he apologises very sincerely and awkwardly. I can't imagine him ever wanting to use someone or hurt them, and even if he did want to, he does not have the social skills to do so. I can't imagine him ever coming across as charming or charismatic. People find him immediately a bit odd. He stares inappropriately and does strange things. Before I moved to the other side of the world a few years ago (guess why!), when I used to go home to visit, my mother would immediately come to the door and hug me and then, in recent years, my brother would be behind her like he was lining up. I asked him once "Would you like a hug too?", not expecting him to say yes, but he had learnt that he likes hugs now, so he said "Oooh, yes PLEASE!", rubbing his hands together like a kid who's about to get cake. I couldn't explain to him why I found that so hilarious. It's so sweet and funny. So I started hugging him when I visited and he just drank it up. Writing this has just made me realise how much I miss him.My brother and my dad can both come across as cold. The main difference is that my dad actually is cold inside. My brother's warm inside but he's more insulated than most people so you don't see his warmth unless you know him.And now I'm going to be brave and post this without anonymity ...

What would you do if Dwayne Johnson knocked on your door and said he was going to stay with you for a few weeks?
Knock knock.I open the door. Towering above me is superstar and WWE pro wrestler Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson. His head shines like a polished egg in the sunlight. I squint.“I’m Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson,” says Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson. He nods his head and winks, as a sign of respect. The sunlight reflects off of his bald head and my eyes lose focus.“I’ll be staying with you for a few weeks,” he announces, with that trademark smile.I regain my bearings. “Sorry, Mr. Johnson--”“Please. Mr. Johnson is my father. Call me Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson.”“Uh, yeah. Sorry, Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson, but I can’t allow you to do that.”“Why not? I was in Rampage.”“Yeah, I’ve seen it. It wasn’t--”Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson suddenly becomes very still. He leans down and hunches his shoulders to fit his head into the doorway. The Rock looks me right in the face at eye level. His eyes-- eyes that have starred in Rampage -- bore into mine.He raises his eyebrow.“Wasn’t what? Finish your sentence. Finish it. Wasn’t what?”“Uh. Wasn’t... long….. enough?”Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, star of the 2018 film, Rampage, stands back up. His eyebrow returns to its normal position. A smile reasserts itself on his face.“Good. Nice opinion, man.” He claps me on the shoulder with a massive hand and bones crunch. I stifle a scream. My life expectancy shortens.“So where do I move in?” he asks.“Listen, Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson, I deny you permission to move into my house.”“What’s that you said?” He cups his hand to his ear. “Guest bedroom, second floor, third door on the left? Gee, thanks! You’re a real trooper.”He claps my other shoulder with his hand. While I am immobilized with pain he ducks and lets himself into my home. How did he know the layout of my house already?Anyways, if you’re reading this, please help me. I don’t know what to do. It’s been nine days and this is a living nightmare. Oh my God, guys, he’s so big. He’s broken four chairs already just by sitting in them, and he’s eating all of our food. All of our eggs. We had to go to the store to buy more eggs for him to eat. Hundreds of cartons of eggs, he’s ravenous. My family is about to go bankrupt.I tried calling the police, but they’re all huge fans. He just signed their service pistols with a silver Sharpie and told them to watch Rampage before they left, high-fiving each other. You know what I saw yesterday afternoon? I look out the window and see Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson playing catch with my five-year-old son. When they’re finished, Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson draws my son in and ruffles his hair, and I swear I see him say “Great game, Dad” through the window. Then my wife goes outside, and Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson takes her in his other arm. “We are an ideal family unit now, Husband,” her lips say. And then they kiss. Can’t believe it. My own wife. My own son.I try to play catch with my son this afternoon. “No thanks, [MY NAME],” he spits. “Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson is my biological father now.” He slams the door to his room in my face.No. No. That can’t be true. I sprint to the nearest family photo album. I am not in it. My son’s birth, his first words, his first steps-- that’s not me in the background, anymore. Now, they’re all pictures of Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson.Guys, please help me. Please help me evict Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson from my home before he takes my family, raises my child, and eats all of my God-damned eggs.

Why don't homeless people just go stay with their families?
Why don't homeless people just go stay with their families? My younger brother was homeless for three years. He spent the first year living in his car, and the last two years behind a dumpster at 7–11.I lived just up the street. Our older sister lives down the road. So, why didn’t he “just go stay with his family”?Because we didn’t want him.He lived with our mother for 50 years. She supported him, fed him, clothed him. He occasionally did a small computer repair job, but that was his only work for the last 20 years. He didn’t need any money so he didn’t bother to earn any. When Mom died 6 years ago, my brother was essentially helpless as far as being a productive human being. My sister helped him get an apartment, open a checking account, showed him how to pay his bills. She explained his financial situation very clearly - he had about two years’ worth of money in the bank. When that ran out, there was no more. He’d better get a job by then, or he’d be homeless. He chose not to listen to her. He spent that 2 years buying guns and hookers. Then he had to sell the guns, one-by-one to pay his rent. Then his money ran out. I paid his rent one month, but I couldn’t afford to keep doing it. The next month, he was evicted. He asked if he could crash on my sofa for a few days, because a girl he knew had offered him her spare room. I agreed. A week later, I finally forced him to admit that the girl had made the offer a year earlier, and he hadn’t bothered to check with her when he first knew he’d be evicted to see if the room was even still available. So, I let him stay with me, on the condition that he helped out around the house and got a job. Six months later, I threw him out. He never helped, and he lied to me repeatedly about even looking for work.Fast forward three years. We knew where he was - I live near the 7–11 and regularly spotted him sitting around. When my younger son joined the Navy last fall, my sister stopped to talk to our brother. He said the magic words “You were right and I should have listened to you”. So, Sis convinced me to let him move back in temporarily, on the same conditions as before - help around the house and get a job. I assumed he’d need a couple months to get his health under control (he has heart trouble, high blood pressure, and was blinded in one eye during an attack six months earlier.) That was November. It’s now the end of March. It’s been four months. He’s done nothing. He doesn’t exactly refuse to anything to help himself - he just doesn’t do anything unless I’m standing over him, drawing him pictures and giving him instructions.I’ll be throwing him out again at the end of the summer, and he can go live behind the dumpster again.Update for those telling me what a horrible sister I am (not that I care what you think, to be honest:When I allowed my brother to move back in with me, it was on the condition that he a) do minor repairs around my house (which I am selling so I can move out-of-state in August); b) do his share to help out around the house; and c) get a job. He signed a lease agreement with me that stated all three of those things. We did this because the LAST time I felt sorry for him and let him live with me, he simply took advantage of it and did nothing to help himself. And he lied to me about what he wasn’t doing.Since he moved in with me four months ago, he has done… practically nothing. Nothing around the house, even though I got him tools and gave him a list of small repairs (like rewiring the sprinkler valves and unjamming the garbage disposal - things I KNOW he is capable of doing.) He’s done nothing at all to help himself NOT be homeless in August, which was the whole point of allowing him to move in. It was to give him a safe place to live while he got his life together and back on track. He’s got an incredibly high IQ (yes, he’s been tested) but refuses to do anything for himself. He has full access to a phone, a computer, a printer - everything one needs to look for job training, a job, etc. But he doesn’t do it. He knows HOW to do it - he just doesn’t. If my sister or I don’t look these things up, he won’t. He sits and watches TV all day. A week ago I gave him the phone number for the local blind center - they have a job training program for the blind and visually-impaired. He called - it went to voicemail so he hung up. I made him call back and leave a message. They haven’t returned the call, so I gave him their main number and told him to call. That was three days ago. He still hasn’t called.I’m trying to get him hired at one of my four jobs - something he can do from home. We don’t know if he’ll get hired - the company has a policy now against hiring Americans (income taxes, you know? I’m the last American working for them.) But they’re considering making an exception for him. We won’t know for another week. I told him in the meantime to take one of the big desktop computers in my storage room and set it up to see if it has the necessary software he’d need. If not, we’ll figure out a way to get it (I have a friend who owns a computer repair company and he’ll help if I need it. He won’t help my brother, but he’ll help me help him.) He got a PC out … and that was it. It’s been two weeks now and he hasn’t done anything to actually set the unit up and see if it still works. Our sister has talked to him. My son has talked to him. I’ve talked to him. Every time we point out that he NEEDS to get off his lazy ass and DO something for himself, he says “Yes, yes, I agree. I know.” - then he goes back to watching television. You would think someone who’s been taken in off the street would JUMP at the chance to become a productive human being again, wouldn’t you? I know others who have been homeless and did just that - first opportunity they were given, they moved heaven and earth to NEVER be homeless again. But not my brother. It killed me to pass the 7–11 and see my little brother living behind the dumpster. But it was HIS CHOICE to do so. He KNOWS I’m selling my house in August and moving, and he knows he’s not going with me. (I’m not even taking my kids - why would I take him?) If he winds up homeless again in August, it will also be HIS CHOICE.
