How do you digitally sign a pdf document?
A- Yes, but I do it in Photoshop (or Microsoft Word). I do not sign a PDF document in MS Word. B- I don't know. I usually do it in MS Word. E- I just do it in MS Word. F- I think it is the same. I just don't know how to do that. G- I am not sure. Maybe, sometimes, I just copy the PDF onto my local machine and I sign it there, or I do it in MS Word. H- No. I do not do that. I usually do it in MS Word. L- No. I do not do that. I don't like to do that because I find it a hassle. O- Yes. I am not sure. I usually do it in MS Word. P- Yes. I do it in MS Word. Q- Yes. I do that, or maybe a little bit, sometimes. R- No. I try not to do that because I am lazy. S- Yes. Sometimes I do a little bit, but not much. T- Yes. I do that. U- Yes. I do that. V- Yeah. I do that sometimes, but not usually. W- No. I have not done it. X- Yes. I don't know how to do that. Y- Yes. I am not sure, but I have done it once. Z- Yeah. I do that. I did it once in MS Word. I don't do it in MS Word anymore. (Note: This interview has been condensed.)
The most common answers I heard were A, B, C, D, F, G, H, O, P, R, S, T, U, and W, but many others were in there too. I asked about the differences between the two formats of digital certificates, and received the following answers:
A- Yes. It is very hard to get a digital certificate from Microsoft. They only allow it if your company pays them lots of money. B- It is hard for me, because I was only a year and a half out of college when I got my first one. It to...
How to sign inside a pdf?
The way I've seen it done:
Step 1, open a new document in a new window (like Word, Pages or another word processor) Step 2, copy and paste that document into a PDF reader (like Adobe Reader, or the free, open source Calibre app) Step 3, use the "Copy and Paste" option to "paste" that document in step 2 Step 4, go to a PDF editor like Pages or Writer, and click the "Signature" button. (I'm not sure of the right keyboard shortcut, but I think Ctrl+Alt+V)
I don't know the exact steps, but it seems that once you've got it all working, you should be able to create a PDF, sign with that, upload it to the site, send the link to your friends, and if you are happy with the result (it's not necessary, but if you are), you can click "save as" and get something like this:
I've only tried to sign something like this with Adobe reader, so the instructions above should work with other applications as well.
I can see the "Sign" button, but when I click it, nothing happens. Is this an Adobe bug?
The reason why I can't click the button is because the page I was on has some kind of "automation" function which automatically does something when you click on a button. That function is what I'm trying to avoid (and which I believe was the one causing the problem with the button not responding when I tried it with Adobe Reader), so the easiest thing is just to click on the link again (and that should work fine). This problem also exists with Google forms.
