because it's truly money being created out of thin air hey welcome back to the VIP financial education YouTube channel where we help you go further faster financially while remaining safe in the process we're gonna dive back into a subject that has been repeatedly requested from you guys we've showcased a large number of episodes on this channel regarding this topic maybe it's her first time here and is the first time you're hearing about the infinite banking concept I was first made aware of this back in the 2000s when I found out about the author of becoming your own banker which was our nelson national the guest that's sitting here next to me has come in all the way from Pennsylvania so I do very much appreciate you taking the time to fly in emcee this is emcee lobster guys if you guys are unfamiliar with emcee this is a powerhouse in the financial world as well I was humbled by his invitation to come on his podcast last year called the cash flow ninja he's helped wished over 500 episodes with some of the biggest names in the industry MC is also an expert regarding the infinite banking concept absolutely so I'm originally from South Africa so I came here in 2001 sense of humor sense of adventure a backpack in a suitcase that traveled a little bit play have played a little bit of rugby you know and was in seek of good good experiences which I definitely found plenty of it in the United States I actually played in rugby league year for a while and while I was traveling and doing that I started reading a lot and my mom actually put the purple book Rich Dad Poor Dad in my hand by Robert Kiyosaki which was a complete game changer for me changed the context in which I saw money and how things really worked and then after that book I dove into the creature from Jekyll Island by mister G Edward Griffin which showed you how money really works central banking works banking works so it's kind of scary right it was a scary book at the time but she brought to me the inside of all the inner workings of banks and then as I did my research came across a book called becoming your own banker which I found fascinating just the title of it written by mr. R Nelson Nash and between the three books it really gave me and I concept of basically expanding my context of how money money works there's a game of money the creature from Jekyll Island shows you actually how the game of money is being played let's talk about that yeah sorry so banking give us a rundown on the idea of fractional reserve banking because it's truly money being created out of thin air yeah so what what how could you explain fractional reserve banking to somebody that is unfamiliar with how the banking inner workings of the banking system actually are happening yes so when we look at the just a traditional banking model so people would put money in banks right there was still a lot of value to it there is still some today there's online bill pay that we have you have online access to your account so there's still a reason why people still put money in banks even today so people would put money into banks and banks would actually pay an interest on the money that you deposit to the depositors and on the back end of their value ladder of their operation that banks lend that's that's really where the profit is so they make loans whether it be student loans auto loans whether it be small business loans mortgages I mean we could go over all the different types of loans that one one could get for my bank so how it works in in the traditional sense was that let's just say I put ten thousand dollars in a bank account right and I would earn let let's just say generously the bank would pay me a percent on that for simple math and I you know I would get a hundred dollars on there ten thousand dollars that I would put in a bank but on the back end of it their value ladder they would actually lend out that ten thousand dollars and let's just say they do it at ten percent most folks would look at this transaction say that's it's really great for the banks that's like a 90 percent spread that's phenomenal but let's just say using the ten thousand dollars that I put into the bank I was paid a hundred dollars one percent interest and on the back end they lend it out at ten percent which they collected a thousand dollars on so they're profited actually on that is nine hundred if you think think think about it because the only money that the bank in that transaction was the hundred dollars remember that money came from the depositors and then they leveraged that and borrowed that out on the backend so they didn't have any money really in the deal so nine hundred percent is actually the profit just in that simple traditional banking model now with fractional reserve banking without going to come really really deep how money is created most banks are required to keep a 10% reserve of money that they have on deposits right so 10% of the money that they and that they actually have they get to keep the race they can lend out so if you think about the the 10x moment that you have on that where money is now created because they were only allowed to keep 10% of the money that they have on reserves the risk could be borrowed borrowed out so now in most cases that could be 10x to nine thousand percent exact the profit on that which is quite their living which is going into another Bank which is only required to keep ten percent which they then lend out the the 90 percent which is then going into another Bank and it just continues forward till where yeah you're seeing a nine thousand percent potential of creation of money over the original deposit of 10k or 1000 or 100 any dollar you put in there this fractional reserve banking is possible that's right and that's where the most most of the money is actually created in fractional reserve banking at the commercial banking level you know we've all heard the the concept of the Fed is printing money out of thin air or creating money out of thin air the majority of money goes into the system and it's exponentially increased through fractional reserve banking I'll share another example with you and this is from my mentor like mentor mr. Nelson Nash he would talk about the one pool of money and he starts with MC think about the pool of one big pool of water right because if you think about it the planet is one big pool of water oceans are all connected the rivers are connected to the oceans and there's underground water so these are all connected I'm almost like George Costanza right but it's all connected so there's condensation clouds forms the clouds get heavy they break and the rain returns to the earth right it goes back to the oceans which is connected to the rivers to the underground water commercial banks has done this with money just think about it if you and I go out to dinner and one of us pays for dinner the merchant account the money is not taken from our account and credit to the merchant account of that they pay their employees they go out and spend the money and it circulates into the banks they're all depositing it into their banks their banks are then fractionally reserve lending to other borrowers that's correct so next thing you know almost all money is fabricated and you know the people that have the hardest time seeing the water around them the fish that's right which very powerful is us as consumers yeah most of the time right so that's very fascinating I think it's important for you guys to know that there are ways of breaking free from that and I think that's why this idea of funneling all lending needs all borrowing needs through a family-owned tool like an insurance policy has always grabbed my attention there's the legacy aspect of it as well I'm looking forward to diving more into the specifics of this because obviously the logistics are going to reveal the both pros and cons of this I don't think it's for everybody and obviously there is an underwriting process that still takes place for this which means that not everybody's even qualified even if they were a really high level of interest right yeah so there there are things that are working against some of the listeners here and I think that's important for us to uncover I want to unpack maybe some of the case studies that are involved with this you know every time I think I'm done talking about this subject it just keeps coming back up and you guys just keep asking for some of our most viewed content here on YouTube is discussing this infant and banking process and concept overall and so I I'm looking forward to doing that with you I know you're the the most transparent person that I've come across in this industry and you're the first person that is going to tell somebody when they're not a great fit for it it will almost always probably boil down to having conversations because it's case by case I would imagine is that true that's true so what we've done is we went ahead and set time and it's not that the other folks that have been on this channel have ever showcased any level of dishonesty it's just I like as many brains on this topic as I can get I recognize I'm not the fastest learner out there so I I do need this for myself and I know that people who are here who have attended some of our other episodes on this subject they're gonna find it useful and people who
