What is the best CRM for a startup/ business?
It all depends on your current needs and situation. So instead of recommending a single CRM software, I'd rather share my 4-point criteria in choosing the CRM that suits well with your needs:Ease-of-useEven with excellent features, a CRM will be useless if it is complicated and hard to use. Believe me, your employees won't use it. Look for the one that is easy to use and the one that you can roll out quicker.Remote accessAs a new startup, there will be situations that you must go off-site or mobile. That's the reason why it is important that you pick the CRM that can be accessed remotely. This also ensures that your data is updated all the time.Software integrationMost likely, you are already using another software or a different set of tools. In choosing a CRM, take this into consideration. You want a CRM that can integrate seamlessly with your existing technology.Multichannel customer supportWhen your CRM encounter issues, you can't only rely on your IT team. It is important that you choose a CRM provider that offers multichannel customer support. Today, phone, email, and live chat as customer service channels is a must.To ensure the success of your CRM implementation as a new startup, you would want to promote the use of your CRM every day. You would also want to make it easier for your employees by automating some CRM tasks. And one way to do this is by using a CTI like Tenfold.Tenfold is an intelligent assistant tool that integrates CRMs with phone systems. Tenfold's features are perfect for CRM implementation.Features like automatic call logging that eliminates useless clicks, click-to-dial that converts all phone numbers into clickable hyperlinks, a floating UI (screen pop) that automatically associates a CRM record with a call, and a call analytics dashboard that provides real-time and historical data. With a software like Tenfold, your employees will not only learn to use the CRM quicker, they will also be more efficient and effective in their daily tasks.

What is the best way to generate business leads from LinkedIn?
As all of us know that LinkedIn is a professional network where people tend to connect with other professional people to build a healthy and professional relationship for their business needs. Many connections are known to us while we get acquainted with many of them by accepting or sending the request to connect. You can use Linkedin in many ways to generate leads for your Startup/Business:Personalized message after connection requested acceptedAs you might have realized that many of the people like to share about them as well as loves to know about you for a better business opportunity. Similarly, you should also send a well written personalized note that how glad you are to get connected with them and you would like to get acquainted with them. After the exchange of 3-4 healthy messages, you must pitch with a business proposal detailing about your company services and your motive and interest to signNow them to find out if there is any synergy to work together may be now or in future. This really helps you build a warm relation with the people in your field and eventually helps you generate very potential leads.2. Posting on LinkedIn about your servicesInstead of pitching every connection individually, you can opt to post your business proposal on the LinkedIn which will automatically signNow to all of them while going through their feeds. There is a lot of chances that the person who will be in need of your services may directly get back to you with an inquiry and behave as a potential lead and a client later on. Many of them have succeeded and survived with this technique for generating B2B sales. You just need a got good number of connections in order to signNow more people with your post. Later you can view the statistics of your post with all the details.3. Email/Message the hirer based on their post on LinkedInLinkedIn has become the main platform for hiring as well and hence many people responsible for the hiring posts about the open position. You can either comment, direct message or email the responsible person regarding their post and ask if they would like to prefer your services or not. Though there would be many respondents to that particular post you can stand of them by emailing them and constantly following up regarding the updates. This process needs certain efforts from your side by the result is certainly rewarding.4. Post on LinkedIn GroupsThe best advantage that you can take of LinkedIn is the usage of LinkedIn groups. There is no limit to join any groups and the best thing is that you can signNow thousands of people at the same place without connecting with them and convey about your offerings/services by posting in a particular group. Pitch LinkedIn group members personallyOther than just posting in a LinkedIn group you can also pitch the group members personally without connecting with them. Previously there was no limit for sending messages to the members of the group but recently LinkedIn has restricted this limit and allows you to send 15 messages to a member of a particular group which will renew after a month. In the next month, you can send 15 more messages to the group members. However, if you are associated with a lot of groups than these numbers won't affect you from signNowing to a decent number of people in the groups.6. Share an Article on an attractive topicOne thing that attracts people directly towards your profile or your professionalism is the type of quality Articles that you share on your LinkedIn profile. Every person on LinkedIn likes to read and share great content they come across. If you have a great content and a great topic than it is likely that people would share your stuff and you would be able to get the limelight on the professional network. As LinkedIn is also a social media platform that has its own advantages, it can help you boost the traffic which will eventually provide a potential lead.7. LinkedIn InmailThis feature is available in LinkedIn in Premium account for which you have to buy the subscription. Through this feature you can directly sent messages to another LinkedIn member you are not connected to. You receive a specific number of InMail credits based on your subscription type, hence you must use it smartly at the situations where it is actually needed. This feature helps you stand out of other people and the opponent will be notified that you have send them an InMail only if they are open to receive an InMail messages through the Account & settings.8. Regular Updates with Blogs/Achievements/Latest NewsAs LinkedIn is the best tool to post and share about the latest updates in the world, you can also share the important and latest stuff that you have with you that you think will entertain or educate your audience than you must do it first. There is a strong possibilities that after reading or going through your blogs/achievements/latest news someone will try to know more about you and may find you potential for their needs, you never know.Keep using LinkedIn in various ways for generating B2B leads, all you need is some patience and efforts.

I am starting a website chat SaaS business, hoping to price it at $249/annually. How should I acquire 3,000 paying customers in
Wow. Well, you have your work cut out for you. Have you launched yet? 2015 has only 4 months left, and without a budget for marketing, a high price point and not as many features as your competitors, you have a very steep uphill climb. @Ashli had all great tips to share. I'll add a few:Research your target market and competition. Do a comp analysis, and find what you offer your market that your competition doesn't. Is it faster/better/cheaper? Get as detailed as possible. This is repeating what Ashli said, but it bears repeating. In this shortened period of time, focus on analytics. Where are people falling off of your website? Where do they come from? Are they finding you using the keywords you've used? Then, fix what's broken. Analyze and optimize. Utilize social media. DON'T BE A MEGAPHONE SELLING YOUR PRODUCT, though. Make sure you balance promo copy with helpful tips that relate to your business. It's your cheapest (free) option for marketing at this point. Make it easy for people to join on social (use the Facebook Tabs to add a app store or the CTA button for people to download or sign up for your platform, Pinterest and Instagram "Buy Now" buttons, etc.).Create and execute an influencer strategy. Find the influencers in your niche, and send them a quick one-pager about your product, ask them to review it, and give them an incentive to do so. Let them share a special code to their users that would act as a referral (maybe 20% off, or free trial, or something like that).Change your tactic for talking about price. Instead of saying $250 a year, say only $20/mo. This changes the perception of price and value in people's heads. Use social ads. Once you've streamlined and defined your target market, then target them with ads and sponsored posts. Promote what you're solving for them...

What are the best sales tools available for inside sales?
Good question. It's been a while since I wrote this answer. With the pace we're going at right now it's time for an update.the July 1st 2015 updated answer !!Inside Sales is so tools driven that you may actually want a list like this. I'll write this as I go through my day as freelance Inside Sales Professional both signing up customers and talking to partners and other freelance Sales Professionals. This answer is work in progress and more content will be added as I work through it.For a good post on emotional and intellectual tools check out Geoffrey James' excellent and important post on the topic here: http://www.inc.com/geoffrey-james/7-most-powerful-sales-tools.html. These tools are still most important to sales success!Always wanted to make a list like this. Now I'll go ahead and make it. This is meant as a full list of everything I wouldn't miss as a Sales Professional. At YourSales we've made a full document of this. Check out the YourSales.com Sales Tool Overview. A Day in the Life of Sales ToolsThe day starts as I switch on my smartphone. It is really a mini office, bringing me in touch with nearly all aspects of doing my business: phone, email, social networks, CRM, news, instant messaging, VoIP services, contacts, notes, tasks, calendar, presentation tools, training material, proposals - and the list goes on. Once in the office I switch on my laptop. It's probably the most important tool of all. It connects me to everything I need and allows me to run a bunch of the other tools I'll list below. Most of the apps and tools I use are browser based. Therefore the browser is important. I prefer the Chrome Browser, but others will have different preferences. Firefox often comes up... It needs to be solid with tabs as you don't want to be flicking through a bunch of windows to find what you were doing. In addition I use a selection of plugins with my browser all the time - they need to work as well.In the browser i go over my social networks to check pending interaction. Note that I do this before checking my email. Different social networks may work for you depending on country or industry, but I use the following:LinkedIn - for real business networking (absolutely hard requirement for sales - you HAVE to be here!)Twitter - for more casual dialogue and perceptions around what's going on right now[updated] Angel.co - up and coming network with a lot of startup and Silicon Valley activity.Facebook - for me: expecting/waiting for Facebook becoming a business networking tool, building a network now. [updated] Quora - for knowledge sharing, understanding the World, authority management, and networking. Admittedly this has declined in priority recently.Google+ - see my reason for working with Facebook.I work with a few social networks simply because I expect they will become players for business networking in the future. Networks are like opportunities: You need to build them before you need them. Too often I've seen people need a network, but having no structured way around working with networking they lost networking opportunity. Be structural and consistent in your networking - it will be one of your biggest strengths in sales.[updated] By the way, I use Buffer (company) to create posts to social networks and Bitly links to track clicks and activity.Once social networks have been checked I'll open the CRM system of choice. I run a sales outsourcing company, so I work with whatever my client prefers.[updated] We have good experience with Salesforce.com and Pipedrive, but there are plenty of solid CRM and opportunity management systems out there.[updated] I'll also get email going. As with everything else I prefer cloud based email. I have Outlook 2010, but never ever use it. Email is browser based or to be found in the Gmail client on either Android or iOS. This way I can make use of productivity and tracking tools I have installed in my browser - another benefit of working with Google Chrome. If you prefer, go ahead and use Outlook. It's just that to a large extent that will tie you to not only your computer, but also to your operating system. If you use cloud-based email you can work in similar ways on most devices and operating systems, making you more flexible.[updated] For additional information - whitepapers on any topic, guides on any topic, I use Google Drive (product). Now, with everything locked and loaded it's time to put the headset on and get the day going![updated] Smartphone. I use a Samsung Galaxy S4, but other high-end phones running iOS or Android will do the job as well. I would personally stay away from Windows Phone (operating system)s for now.Laptop. You want a laptop because you want to be able to work from anywhere. Your laptop should be your entire office. Something light, thin, transportable with a anti-glare or matte screen. You'll be wanting to work under all sorts of conditions and a glossy screen will not help you. Make sure it's a fast machine as you want it to be able to carry the load of all you throw at it. There's nothing worse than a laptop that's part of the problem instead of part of the solution.I'd go with no more and no less than a 14" screen, but find out what works for you for a full days work.Monitor: At your base you'll want a nice, good quality, flat screen set at the right height. Always working with a laptop is bad for posture and your physique in general. You may think that this has nothing to do with Inside Sales, but Inside Sales is all about having energy. Energy to think fast, energy to sound energetic through the phone. Your physical environment is important. This makes the monitor important.Phone App. To make calls.Smartphone: VariousThe stock mobile phone appCounterpath Bria for VoIPAndroid 2.3 or above for VoIP (current devices are being sold with Android 5)Skype for dials. Preferrably with a plan that secures free calling with whichever region you do most of your business in.Tablet: I meanwhile just run CounterPath Bria on NVIDIA SHIELD Tablet (product). If you use an iPad, CounterPath has an excellent version of Bria for for iOS VOIP.Windows: Counterpath BriaHeadset: You want to keep your hands free. The best headset for me that's also transportable is the Plantronics (company) .Audio 400 DSP. This is still my preference after about some 14 years with the product.[updated] Social networks: LinkedIn (product), Twitter (product), Angel.co, Facebook (product), Google+, Quora, F6s (company).[updated] Email: Gmail incl Chrome plugins such as Yesware, Rapportive, SalesLoft, and Cloutex.[updated] Planning meetings: At all times attempt to take the synchronization of calendars between you and whoever you're planning to speak to out of the picture. I do that using Calendly!
