6.5 billion this helped bolster and bang's already large portfolio which included the waldorf astoria now many may not know but the strategic hotel and resorts is also a reit which stands for real estate investment trust reit is a company that owns and or operates income producing real estate since reits are required to distribute at least 90 percent of their taxable income back to investors
