The PDF will then be digitally signed again by this person with another public key. If you do not want people to digitally sign your pdf, then you may create an encrypted pdf. When you create a new pdf, it will have the same name, but no encryption. So if you want to send it to a friend or to yourself, you have to make a new pdf of it. That would give you an encrypted version of the pdf, but not one where you can decrypt it later. You might wonder why I don't just encrypt the pdf, then send it as an encrypted file? Well, you can create a pdf of a public document and send it without encryption. But then it is just a pdf of the public key. So you can't send the pdf to another person with encryption.
