hey what's going on it is louisa with exact notary i wanted to show you guys how you can apply for your llc or a limited liability company um the website that i will be using today is ink files so let's go ahead and get right into it you guys know how i like to get right into the videos without all the bs um talking about other stuff so here it is um you just go to inkfile.com uh once you're here go ahead and select launch my business once you come here you're going to select your entity type depends on what type of company you wanted to form i'm not going to go into the specifics but um i have an llc so it just depends on what kind of company you want to form basically uh state of formation you would select your state here so i'm going to select iowa because i am in iowa from here you can select the package that best fits your situation financially um just do what you can afford if you can afford the best go ahead and go with the best which is the platinum plan i went with the silver plan because um i have a domain name and email um business email and i also have a website i didn't need those options because i designed those myself or set them up myself um so i didn't go with this plan and i also don't mind waiting three weeks in order to get my filing uh papers from the secretary of state so if you wanted to get them immediately then i would go with this plan or go with this plan i believe they give them to you faster but uh irregardless you're still going to get um a business tax consultation and also a website with this package as well i found that everything that are in this package are in this one too except the irs form and the ein tax number which i'm going to do another video of how you can apply for that yourself for free it doesn't cost money and you should never pla pay excuse me you should never pay to get an ein number because it is completely free from the federal government um for these things i didn't really care um i didn't care for it so just select the package i selected the 50 package from here you're gonna put in your name so i will put in my name um my email address this is one of them uh street address we will do a fake address or an address that used to be mine okay select next oh wait phone number make sure to give your phone number for your business unless you want them to call you on your personal phone about uh whatever they're selling to you from ink file but i would just use your business phone because they may file it um under that phone number so just keep that in mind and then they're also gonna give you entered or suggested choose suggested states iowa okay so with that what is the deal with this with that we're going to go to the next page so this is where it starts to add up as i said it's three weeks filing time does not cost anything but if you do the five business days it adds an extra fifty dollars now if you wanted to pay fifty dollars you could do that i chose not to because i didn't want to spend any more money for my business well to form my business basically so then you select next and then llc name um here you just want to go ahead and name your business so since this is a fictitious company that i'm not even forming i will just say l cosmetics just uh for learning purposes and then llc or you could do limited company limited liability you could select all of these options it's up to you i believe i selected this when i formed my um llc on here and then you just want to select your business industry so we'll do ecommerce because i'm pretending to sell cosmetics online number of members one myself business purpose basically you want to give a brief description of your business purpose um i don't know l cosmetics cosmetics um i don't know just make up some one or two sentence thing about your business sells beauty products to women and men to enhance their physical appearance probably didn't spell that right so i love spell check physic physical appearance okay oh okay okay business purpose um we sell okay so i guess you can't put the business name in the business purpose uh sentence whatever um address now just to be clear you can use your home address but it's basically best if you use um when you do your home address to also put a suite number like suite 103 or sweet 300 if you don't want to do your home address and put the suite number then you need to get a virtual business address so in order to get a virtual business address go to let's see if i can spell this right i found this site to be really inexpensive for a virtual address it was like nine dollars a month um so once you get here uh go to pricing and look at that so these are the places that will um accept your mail for you virtually and then they will basically scan it so you can see it via email so you do not need to reside in these states in order to utilize the service and it starts at eight dollars a month i mean seriously you cannot beat that i'll put all these links in this video description so that you can check it out for yourself so once you do the address then you select next and this is where they try to upgrade you once again for more money um operating agreements banking resolution if you wanted to open a bank account they could do that for you express shipping va fedex business contract templates you can get these online for free if you wanted to get your documents in a hurry then yeah i would select some of these things once again the ein is free operating agreements if you don't do it on here you can find the form online for free as well um so if you wanted to get upgrades and bonus you would select here or you can say no thanks i will pass on this opportunity okay so this is where you can um decide on the members that you want added for your llc or corporation so if you wanted to be an individual you could do this if you wanted to be a company you would put all the company name information and the people that are going to be running the company i selected individual my name and then my address and then ownership was 100 now if you don't 100 percent own the business then i would also add the other people to this section because they are part owners as well so just keep that in mind um you then want to select next if you wanted them to be your registered agent basically to receive all of the junk mail and all the mail about your business that you need it's free for the first year then after that it's 119 a year if you don't want the headache of these documents and you want them to file everything for you then i would go ahead and select this option i chose not to do it i'm going to act as my own registered agent and then also again you select the individual and the address if you wanted to assign someone else here that's what you would do as well and keep in mind no po boxes are allowed then you select next okay so once again the ein number is free um i told you i'm gonna do a separate video but why don't i just go ahead and do that in here so ein number well actually just go to google.com and then select get an ein number if i can spell okay there it is all right so do not select the advertisements i heard some people select the advertisements and they had to pay over to 300 for the ein number do not do that because it's free um so what you want to do is make sure it says irs.gov and it does not have an advertisement on it that the government does not put advertisements on the internet like this from my personal knowledge i don't think they do so as you can see i visited this site before so select here and then read over this information determine your eligibility understand the application submit your application so once you read over all that and you're like well hell you know what i'm ready to apply select apply online now what you're going to want to do is select that begin application and then select what you're going to be sole proprietor partnership llc whatever um if you don't have your business uh llc registered yet you can also select sole proprietor and change it up later or llc and then go and apply for your llc as well so i selected sole proprietor at this point i still need to call the irs to change it over so select sole proprietor or household employer which you're a sole proprietor okay this is what a sole proprietor is you can only have one ein regardless of the number of businesses you own or operate if you're already having i n you must use that number for all of your sole proprietor business okay select continue and start it as a new business hired employees banking purposes so basically you want to select the best answer that fits your personal situation so if you started a new business which most people do um we go ahead and select continue put in your first name middle initial last name your suffix your social security number or itin if you do not have a social security number and then you can select i am the sole proprietor i am the third party applying for an ein on behalf of this sole proprietor and then select continue they're going to ask for your address your details your ein confirmation and then you should receive an ein number from the federal government within i think it was about two or three weeks i received mine i'm not sure do not quote me on that but basically that's the process to get this and i will put this link in the description as well so you do not get scammed out of almost three hundred dollars for an ein number that is free okay so back here no i don't need ink file to obtain my ein select next um this is free um if you wanted to have a bank of america specialist contact you you could certainly do so uh if you did not have a bank account or you wanted to open another bank account perhaps uh i went ahead and selected this yes this is all the things that you can get if you wanted to read over that and then select next and then here is that fedex express if you wanted your documents physically mailed to you you can select 25 for that it'll add 25 to the cost over here i selected to have them electronically delivered to me by email it's faster and safer in my opinion okay so if you wanted a free tax consultation you would go ahead and select yes and i would go ahead and do it i still have a tax consultation that i need to set up i keep missing the phone calls because i'm working my regular job so basically i still need to do that and then you just select next if you didn't want that you could say you're not interested as well okay so um licenses if you wanted help to identify the business license that you need you can select this but it's a hundred dollars or you can say no thanks i'll do the work myself which i selected because you can seriously find anything you wanted to know online on google.com all right so this is everything that i put in here for l cosmetics llc which is totally fictional and make sure all this information is correct this tells you the member info tax consultation free company info agent info contact info formation info select next okay so on this page is where you would go ahead and pay the fifty dollars so when you see some people post that they only paid fifty dollars to file their llc that is exactly how they did it they didn't select all the extra stuff they just decided to do most of the work on their own so billing information make sure you select those and then put in your card number and complete and pay once you complete and pay you'll receive an email address that says congratulations thank you so much for forming your llc with us we will have more documents coming your way and we'll also send you the tax consultation uh individual your way as well they will be in contact with you blah blah blah if you um selected to get your documents uh digitally sent to you by email they will be on their way within three weeks otherwise if you selected to have them fedex to you it'll be um i'm not sure if it's a couple hours or a couple days or a week because i didn't select that option but at any rate i hope this video was helpful for you if you need any other information on following your llc let me know if you didn't want to do it with ink file and you just wanted to do it with your secretary of state you would basically go to google select secretary of state put in the state that you are in so i'm in iowa so sos iowa and then once you're on that website you want to go ahead and select form your limited liability company or you could call down to the secretary of state and have them assist you with
