This is going to be a quick NetSuite demo on just some of the general tasks within NetSuite. So we're gonna start off by showing how to create a department. First of all we have to do it it's going to set up you're going to go to company and then under here under the "Classifications" is "Departments" so if we click on here it'll pull up our current select selection of what departments are available. You can see under here there's an indentation for corporate sales and SMB this is because these two are a sub department of the sales department so being a sub department it will roll up into that sales hierarchy. So we're going to create a new department by clicking on this new department button up here. And it'll let us choose what the name of this is we're gonna call this Department Support and we can assign it as a Sub department of anything that we want in this case we're going to leave it on its own and we're going to click "Save". And we have now created our new support department. We can also add a number to the name if we if we would like to if if the company uses numbers we would also then be able to assign that number as an external ID through a CSV import which would allow it so that if you are uploading journal entries that are fairly lengthy you would only put in the department number and it wouldn't the system would then go and find that department number in your list of departments it's a little bit more complex and I'm not gonna go over that here in this demo but just as an available option it is available. So it's that linux go on to create a different class so again we go to set up and company and we're gonna scroll down to the classifications wouldn't go to classes so when we open up these classes here's what we have so far change order new business upsell I'm going to click on new club that's here and I'm going to use "NetSuite" as my new class for this before the company, click on "Sale" up here I don't assign it as a subclass of anything just click "Save" and I have my new NetSuite created. Now let's go ahead and create a location very similar we go to "Setup", "Company" and then we're going to choose locations I could click "New" right here and that would bring me directly to the new page so let's go ahead and we're gonna set it up as "San Jose" we're not gonna make it a sub location you don't need to change the location and type and this is more for retailer warehouse but in our case we're just gonna leave it blank.
