hi I'm Rob head of customer support in this video we're going to walk you through how to get your branding set up now if you've signed up to better proposals I'm pretty sure you're going to want your proposals to look clean smart and professional and in this video we're going to show you exactly how to do that to access your brand settings click the settings tab in the left hand menu you'll see a branding section appear and you'll be able to choose the brand that you want to edit here you'll see a variety of different tabs that you can edit to optimize your document sending process think of branding as the default settings to any document you create inside better proposals so in the first tab you can set the name for your brand for inside the system as well as what is displayed to your clients you can also choose a language which will translate certain pieces of text that aren't editable inside your document such as a digital signature block and various system buttons you can also set up your brand colors which will allow you to easily select them when designing your documents each of your documents will have a logo on the sidebar if you've not already uploaded your logo you can do so here just click the browse for logo button to upload your logo we recommend a transparent PNG which is no larger than 400 pixels wide as emails are predominantly on white background so you have the option here to upload a separate logo to be used with the emails that get sent via the system you can also set the default email messages for when you send a proposal and what someone should receive when they sign your proposal this is a great place to insert our merge tags which will pull the client information automatically and save you loads of time while also adding a nice bit of personalization with minimal effort just a quick one if you find yourself getting a little bit stuck and you need a nudge in the right direction look out for the live chat icon at the bottom right hand side of your screen and we'll be more than happy to help you in any way we can to customize your fonts you can choose from one of the preset font pairings and feel free to use them as is or click each font type and choose your own settings in the right hand sidebar depending on your plan you have the option to use Google and Adobe fonts as well as uploading your own custom font here you can set the currency and tax settings for your brand this can be different for each brand and you can also override this on individual proposals here's where you can customize what your clients will see on the thank you page after they sign your proposal this is a good place to insert any next steps for your client you can also customize the messages your clients will see on the payment page after signing your proposal you can set different messages for before and after payment in case you have any instructions or next steps you want to provide for your client if you're on our premium or Enterprise plans you can add a custom domain so that your clients don't see anything to do with us when you send them a proposal check out the custom domain video for a walkthrough of how to get that set up and lastly we have the PDF within this section you can customize the pdf version that's available to download or switch the PDF download off entirely if you don't want your clients having the option to download your proposal the main takeaway here is Brands can be used in a bunch of different ways using multiple Brands will allow you to set up defaults for certain types of location or clients for example you may deal with customers at different countries so you may opt for making a brand for each language and currency that you need so you don't have to waste time mentally changing your defaults each time you'll be able to quickly and easily assign a certain brand to any document with a couple of clicks
