Real estate photography invoice template for Facilities
welcome back guys Eli here and on this video I'm going to show you what a day at Norman and young looks like as well as break down a couple of our invoices from today this video is filmed on January 20th and so not only these invoices from today the schedule is from today and this is going to be a cool one if you want to start a real estate photography or real estate Media Company it'll give you an insight into what it can look like and I'm going to talk about the actual invoices themselves what services we did and how much we charge and how much profit we made from each of them and how much profit you could make if you did the same Services then I'm going to give you a full rundown on our order form and our full list of services and pricing just like you'd see if you were a client booking in our system so today is going to be a good one and I think you'll learn a lot so first things first this is the schedule for January 20th for my photo business it was a lighter day than average our average last year if you take all of our days was 15 shoots a day and this was 10 shoots today so we had seven photographers shooting each of these you can see like each line is a photographer so this is a photographer this is a photographer photographer so this this guy shot two this person shot one person shot three one two so slow day pretty slow day they could definitely shoot like three or four a day but the the really interesting part especially to you if you're just getting started is not how many photographers I have shooting today and how many shoots they did it's what does each shoot look like and how many could you shoot as a solo photographer because that's how you have to get started you don't start with a team that takes time so first things first I'm starting with the cheapest invoice of today which was 155 or 167 dollars with sales tax but obviously we don't get to keep the sales tax that doesn't really count and this was our 25 photo package very boring they didn't order any upsells add-ons nothing like that this shoot itself was on our schedule for 45 minutes probably took the photographer around 30. we just always give them a little buffer but sometimes you have shoots that take like five or ten minutes when no one's there and it's a vacant house ready to go so this one takes about 45 minutes and makes 150 in Revenue the editing cost is a dollar per photo approximately for 25 photos so you know gross profit on this shoot if you were shooting it would be like a hundred and thirty bucks for 40 minutes so pretty good but it's not good when you don't get upsells like that's where the real money in real estate media is made so moving on to our next invoice actually let me go to our most expensive one that I'll talk about an average invoice so this was our most expensive invoice of the day a little cheaper you know 500 and 495 before tax invoice um is not that much but it's not bad either and you can see that they ordered our Pro media package which is our middle package in terms of cost it includes a 40 photo package a floor plan with room measurements drone photos and a marketing kit so that product itself right there 40 bucks in editing for the base photos the floor plan is free the Drone photos are six to eight dollars to have edited because it's six to eight photos the marketing gets 15 bucks so 40 plus 8 48 plus 15 I mean we're looking at under 60 bucks in terms of cost aside from the photographer but if it's you shooting that doesn't really matter so cool thing here is that they took one of our one-click upsells we call them and they added on a 60 second video for 200 so that almost doubled the invoice right there just that little upsell and that's why packages are important and that's why upsells are important and I'll show you how we do that in our system in a minute so stay with me because that's really cool this shoot itself uh I don't know which one it corresponds to on here but you can see that it was more than likely one of these slightly longer shoots which take up an hour and a half on our schedule our photographer probably took somewhere between 45 minutes and an hour so again if you were doing that 60s 70 bucks in cost um video editing is 50 bucks so probably 100 bucks in cost for a 300 something excuse me for a 535 invoice so pretty good for an hour and a half and that shows you how many you could potentially do in a day which would be four for sort of a normal day for a single photographer would be four shoots if your average order value which I'll jump to in a second this is an average invoice for 300 bucks if your average order value is somewhere between three and four hundred dollars which it is for most companies and you do four shoots I mean that's you know 12 900 or excuse me 1200 to like 1600 which is pretty good right especially if you can do that 20 days in a row which obviously is going to be some rainy days or slow days but it gives you an idea on you know how well you can do as a real estate photographer and I think a lot of people Overlook that because they look at an average invoice for a real estate photographer and then they compare a wedding invoice and they're like dang real estate photography sucks but that's not the case because it's a volume game and it's a consistency game like I said this was a pretty light day but you can see that like I mean this right there is you know eight nine hundred dollars worth of media and it took up half of a photographer's day and so you know I think the real power in this business um just like any business is when you scale but when I say real power that's kind of subjective right because as a single photographer we've seen plenty of people make more than fifteen thousand dollars in Revenue just shooting by themselves every month and you know in a lot of cases more than 20 when they get a fully maximized single photographer business and the thing is most of them don't make it there because they decide to hire before then we have a lot of people hit 10 12 14 000 and they're like dang this is awesome like let me do it Norman and young does and get multiple photographers right because you can really make some money if you do that so hope that gives you a little insight let's jump right into our online order form all right so here's our order form this is what an agent sees when they book online and this is one of the systems we use that we teach about in our course that is a game changer for Real Estate photographers and if you haven't checked out the course Check It Out Below it's called real estate photographer Pro we have a YouTube only coupon and if you believe in education and you believe in fast tracking your success I highly encourage you to grab that course we have a refund policy if it doesn't work for you so check that out below we also have a free Workshop that's an hour-long link below and so again take advantage of my free resources and let it build your business for you anyway back to this so put in my old house address here actually you have to do that because our system Auto schedules based upon where the property is and it can actually confirm a shoot without us ever doing anything based upon our photographers radiuses and schedules so we have that put in then it pops up is it residential commercial or land or a lot so they have to click one and then it pops up our packages so that was the package you saw get ordered twice those three invoices I showed you from today it's a 295 package we have our base package for 195 and then our plus package for 6.95 over 50 percent of our orders pick one of these packages now they can also order a la carte below if they just want to order whatever they need independently of a package but having these packages increases our average order value and it makes it easier for our clients because they can just see what our main packages are and order those this is our most popular one it's also our middle package the cool thing we have here I talked about which is upsells so you saw that person that ordered the video on that invoice what happens is when they click this package it pops up do you want to add a 60 second video and they can toggle that or they can add a social media reel or drone 360 to or whatever they want to add we have this for all of our packages and that dramatically increases your average order value so definitely have packages well thought out packages and not too many of them Simplicity is key here we have three main packages they're easy to understand and then upsells they can also order a la cartes you can see these are all the services we offer in pricing there virtual Twilights virtual time lapse video products virtual staging floor plans we have a new virtual illustrations we're testing that it doesn't work very well we thought it'd be for a client closing gifts so anyway that's kind of what we offer once they pick what they want it's going to suggest some appointments to them this is the cool thing about the system we use suggest some appointments to them based upon where our photographers already will be those dates and it minimizes drive time so this is like two weeks out obviously January 30th January 31st February 1st it's far out but they can also hit no show me the calendar and they can see some of our schedule looks like our schedule is not showing anything for next week which is kind of weird so I'll have to check with the team on that but that's how it works then they can go through they pick a time and they can go ahead and actually confirm that project which is pretty cool it's like this one because I clicked a lot of stuff it's a 1200 order but that's how it works and they can book this is fully confirmed without ever talking to our team and our photographer will show up at the assigned time so I hope that gives you some insight into how we price our services and hopefully a little bit of inspiration because you could totally build a business like this it's just going to take some time and a lot of hard work but other than that you now have an idea of how we price our services and what I encourage you to do is not what a lot of people do wrong they start their business they go look up all their local competitors and they undercut everybody don't do that there are much better ways to compete in your business you can offer better systems like I just showed you there that's a perk that agents like that we have that system you can offer a better service you can offer more packages and different products and different ways to serve your clients besides just breaking your pricing structure down as far as you can making it as low and cheap as possible that doesn't work well long term so what I recommend doing is surveying your competitors and being somewhere between the middle and the top of the pricing in your local market that will really help you maximize the amount of money you're making and allow you to better serve your clients because you're not going to be getting paid too little to make a profit which then makes you angry and the service suffers so that's how I recommend pricing but of course that's something you have to figure out what works best for you but more than pricing and more than anything if you're someone that likes real estate photography likes the idea of it and wants to get into it now is a great time to do it interest rates are higher which means agents are ordering more per shoot because it's a little bit harder to sell a house than it used to be and in some cases a lot harder so it's a great time to get into real estate photography and I highly encourage you if you even if you don't want to spend money go watch my free content watch my other videos follow me on Instagram learn from me because you we've had people build businesses just for my free content but if you're somebody who believes in fast tracking things by learning from the experience of others I highly encourage you to check out my course real estate photographer Pro below there's a YouTube only coupon that will give you a huge discount and here's the deal we're constantly raising the price of real estate photographer Pro as we get more people in the program so now is a great time to join and even if you're somebody that doesn't want to buy a course today I have a free Workshop link below that is basically like a free starter course on how to get into real estate photography or if you already have a real estate photo business how to do better doing it so highly encourage you to check out that below that is all for this video guys I thank you for your time I hope you got something out of this video and I will see you in the next one
