now when it comes to collecting funds tithes and offerings online there are multiple choices of items and venues or companies that you can use in this video I'm gonna go over some of my top favorite options for churches on how to collect tithes and offerings and contributions online [Music] hey guys this is AJ CEO this your first time stopping by the channel thanks for stopping by and on this channel we focus on tips training strategies reviews and bills to help modernize your media ministry so if you new here consider subscribing so modernization what is let's just be honest I'm 41 years old it is very rare that I carry cash on me and that's kind of what the generation is in the majority of people under my age my age and below so the traditional hey let's collect money give this amount that I have in my pocket or my wallet on my purse to give towards tithes and offering isn't shouldn't be the only way that you connect money as well as for offerings tithes charities fundraisers or anything like that so again what I want to do is go over some of the options that are available to you and you'll be surprised how simple they are and how little they cost so let's go ahead and jump over to the computer a lot of ways I've seen churches start is to use PayPal PayPal is free and pretty much out of all the options that I'm doing on this all of them pretty much are free for the base level of what you need to get started but PayPal is a little bit more detailed than what you need to do because unless you have people who are fluent with PayPal and have it they can either go on their own phone and just transfer it kind of like a cash app type of thing which is another option I'll leave that for later but pretty much if you want to show it to everybody and put it on your website or something like that you need to know a little bit of coding they guide you through how to do it but again if I had to write this in comparison to everything else this one has a lot more stuff that you physically would have to do to make it work PayPal it just accepts anything so you can set it up for donations you can set it up the tithe offerings leave it up to people to set the amount they want you can suggest a certain amount you can set it up for if you have an event going on you want to pay for tickets I mean it's a bunch of ways that you can use it and honestly it's good to have it just in general but if you're using this for tithes and offering offerings it will work but you got to put in a little bit more work to get it done so if I had to write this in difficulty I would probably give this a three but again just because you need to have access to your website to post it there but outside of that you guide you through all of that all right so that's option number one is PayPal now option number two again this was recommended to me I never even heard about them but this is secure give and pretty much looking through the website it offers the exact same thing as all of these other services that I'm gonna be talking about now the difference between this as well as PayPal is that they have done a lot of the heavy lifting for you so in here they have mobile giving they have so you can do it through an app through your phones they have text giving which is cool so you can just get a number set up and people text the number they text this number and the amount and they link it with everything and get the money that way I didn't get that detail but they have an option for texting I'll probably do another video just specifically going down this path but this is just to give you options for those who have been asking about it then they also have an option of kiosk giving to where externally you can either have your own keyboard I mean keyboard your own iPad or buy one from them which obviously is gonna cost and you can set it up as a stationery type of thing so like just imagine you have it on a my iPad and then you can pull that out during offering time or have it multiple ones throughout your sanctuary so it gives people a way to do that that's cool and most of these have the same type of pricing model they don't cost anything for setup now when you start getting into the kiosk and other features like texting and stuff like that those costs but the base level of just accepting online giving and stuff like that that's free they make them money pretty much in the transaction fees and most of these are pretty much around the same across all of these PayPal has like a transaction fee so the secure gift so there's your option number two secure gift now honestly if you're doing with the base model because they guide you through everything this would be almost like I can't give a zero shiny orb but I would give this a one in difficulty it's not really hard probably just setting it up but you're probably gonna have someone there guide you through getting this all set up all right number three is timely I'm actually I'm working to get with them and get some more details with them I've had a couple of churches I work with I've suggested this to them as well so they pretty much follow the same stuff that we've been talking about before they have an app they have all this other stuff and now they give you other features because they don't just do this but the church giving portion is zero dollars a month and as you can see is the exact same transaction fees for processing it maybe it's my head in the way yeah there you go so it's 2.9 percent plus 30 cents per transaction and I think a lot of these um services also give the optionally and he took it back there's also if they have a bank transfer is that one percent and that 30 percent if it's like American Express is three point five percent plus the 30 cents so depending on the method of how your pain and I believe that's the way to upload was too I didn't notice that one but they also offer an app but this one doesn't cost anything for the app because the app is free you just have to set up the account and pick out your church from out all the other churches who are using this and this really makes this easy as well there's no contracts there's no cancellation fees there's nothing it's just you sign it up if anybody uses it you're good now number four it's probably the most difficult one out of all of this this is gonna be stripe stripe is similar to PayPal but literally there is no interface at all literally you have other type of third parties that link to them all they do is handle transactions credit cards check ACH automatic clearinghouses things like that they handle that so it's like the engine so if you have a WordPress website or something like that that uses WooCommerce it could link to strike and handle the transactions now you have all the features that all of these have here same type of transaction fees they actually they don't charge an additional they just take out a certain percentage for handling the transaction which is around at 2.9 percent in that range but they don't charge anything else after that which is the benefit but the downside the con to this is you really need to know what you're doing with this if you're have to build this from scratch or you have to have something else that is compatible with stripe so like for example I use stripe for my business because I have a invoicing system that links to stripe so there's really nothing that I had to do I just what I had linked with it so if you're in a church and like I said WooCommerce is a perfect example for WordPress because I know it works with this that's another way that I have that or and I've set this up for other people with websites to do so out of our difficulty here that this is a five it's doable but I'm again you need to know what you're doing or work with somebody who knows what they're doing for this so that is stripe alright and the last one that I'm gonna go over which is pretty much a free one oh and I didn't mention this stripe doesn't cost anything to set up you just set it up it's just like PayPal it doesn't cost you anything the only cost comes in is when there's a transaction but there is no monthly fee when it comes to you strike all right the last one is give allah fide jimplin phi is literally almost a cousin of todd lee they offer the exact same thing the exact same features pretty much it does the exact same thing and their pricing structure is the same they also offer an app as you can see 2.9 percent and 30 percent it is the standard across all of them so it's not like one of them is gonna have an advantage over anything and again these have the options of allowing people to pay the difference to cover the transaction fee so that's always good there's no signup fees no monthly no extras no nothing and it's very simple to setup no monthly fee no contracts none of that alright so for those who are asking I hope that helps you get your church more modernized with accepting tithes and offerings online you got five options you got two I think that a little bit difficult that's being PayPal and stripe but again and all honesty what I was meaning to say at the beginning is PayPal and stripe evil one of them is good to have PayPal because PayPal is a little bit bigger than stripe and more well-known it does not hurt to you to have that and sign that up because you can get other benefits with that when you're doing other type of things so like if you have a bit bright it links to PayPal to pay for tickets if you want to do it that way now the other bonus I would throw in is cash up cash up is a lot of me I do that for me personally from a business and a lot of businesses I've been on have been used in cash up it's nothing to matter what getting the cash up for your church and whoever say the treasurer sign up for it and that gives you a free way to transfer money as well to what people accept that way too so there there was a bonus that I was six options with an additional there so I hope this helped for those who are interested on how to get started with accepting tithes and offerings online and being more
