I knew I was short on budget,and I wanted to convert every  click into a download (i mean there is a high probability that if a person clicks on the link,he may not download it because of poor screenshots)So good,professional looking screenshots were Page on important.so for that I needed a photoshop professional(although I designed the app myself,I wasn't very good at photoshop) so I hired a guy from freelancing websites.I paid the guy 50$ for 5 screenshotsgood iconI then hired a guy for the video.Now if you don't know how most of the videos are made,you may end up paying 150-400$there are websites  from where you can buy templates for virtually everything.So we purchased a 25$ template,hired a guy for 40$ to do the changes to it.So the whole video was done for 65$2   I  got fake facebook likes(40,000 likes for 40$ people are real but they don't come to know when they liked the page,there are scripts for fake facebook likes) as we thought it can be used as an audience,but turns out it was a waste,as facebook has changed it algorithms,and a post's visibility only increases if it gets enough momentum(i.e comments and likes).And it is quite obvious that no one would be interested in  a post from a page which they never liked themselves.The post never signNowed 40,000 people which was our intended target.     3.  I got the description done,ourselves.There are websites for SEO (or ASO ,app search optimization)like sensor tower which can be used for figuring out which keyword to use.4.  Added 1000+ friends on facebook from my college before the launch5.  I launched the app.6.  I gave credit to those people on how they were so supportive and accepted our random friend requests and then sneaked in the download link with  very pretty images.People like to take credits for no reason ,just like they want to feel good and superior and want to be  a part of something, without any reason,I just exploited it.7.  The early downloads and reviews were quite important8.  They reviewed and downloaded.About 200-300 of them.9.  Just after I launched it,I changed my schedule and started sleeping 9 hrs in 2 days .i.e 4.5 hrs a day,with 3 hrs of sleeping shifts. i searched for lists of websites which review android apps.Sent them a copy pasted message and often making intentional mistakes while typing the subject  like "Android 'ApP' Review",to get their attention as you are not the only one sending them emails. we tried to make it look as professional as we  could.But  tried to keep the message friendly.I posted them 100 each day.10. Spamming on facebook groups.The post here doesn't have to be professional and the screenshots should not look professional,if they are ,(these screenshots were differnt from the ones one the app page)  you will give an impression that your app comes from a company and it won't appear as a personal request but like an advertisement which you don't want.I posted them 100 each day11. Sending messages to youtubers to review it and then posting on their new videos ,asking people to try it and asking the channel owner to review it.I posted them 100 each day or maybe more.12. Posting  on reddit,forums, qoura etc.13. reviews from feverr.14. backlinks.15. update regularly.    We  did this for 20 days. The rest of the downloads were all organic(means they were due to people searching for a music player etc,rather than clicking somewhere)13. Now the app is  getting 2000+ downloads per day on average (for the last 20 days).All of them are organic.As of now,(i.e 14th october,the app stands at 95,000 downloadsCurrenlty when you search for a  "music player" our app ranks at the number 20.And it is the only app within the top 20 with a range of 50,000-100,000 range.All other apps have atleast 1/2 million downloads.With the maximum at 500 million.P.S if you want to have a look at the app,send me a message or write a comment :)

Overall it worked well for India. In a globalized economy, we need as many bridges as possible to the outside world. We have tried sitting inside a well for a couple of centuries and that didn't work well. World has enormous number of new things to teach us and the cultures that learn the most wins. Cultures that arrogantly sit there thinking the world has nothing to teach them, disappear like water droplets on a hot desert. Like it or not India needs the world. Even cultures that have staunchly resisted outside world in the past - Japan, United States and China - are deeply integrated in the global economy. Okay, so we need the world. How would be communicate with that world? Not many people outside India speak Hindi or Sanskrit or other Indian languages. And they are not going to change anytime in the future. Thus, it was up to us to learn the languages of the world.Okay, so we need to learn a world language. Which one? English, of course. China was never under English occupation and don't speak Indo-European family. Still they are spending huge amount of resources to learn English. France and Germany have fought wars with the English for centuries. They see English as a junior language, inferior to theirs. Still, they learn to speak English anyway. Americans fought a hard battle to throw out the English crown. But, they retained the English language anyway. If the Chinese, French and Germans can learn English, India can too. And it is an Indo-European language - cousin of Indian languages and with a lot of present vocabulary brought from India.With or without the colonization, India needed to learn English to communicate with the rest of the world. If there were no English, we would have learned some other lingua franca. That would not have been an Indian language either.Learning English is not an option. It is our nation's survival. Educated people in every part of the world - in France, Germany, China, Latin America, Japan leave alone US, UK, Australia and Canada - learn English. It is where most of the world's best academic works are written. whether India adopted English or not, at some point of time the students who didn't learn English would have suffered. You cannot ignore the world language. Imagine being on a phone call with a client or partner in Germany or US. What language will that person communicate through? In a globalized world, you expect a person without English knowledge to survive? You can all have the knowledge in the brain, but unless you communicate that sits there useless. Communication is the bare minimum. And we can easily learn multiple languages. Our brains are far powerful to allow that. English is not hampering our local languages. Our own insecurities do that. And protecting those languages can be done without hampering the learning of English.For those of you who wants to protect their local languages, help create a lot of interesting works that makes the language worth learning. In Tamil, the creation of the epic novel Ponniyin Selvan in the 1950s created whole generations of people who developed a love for Tamil literature. We need hundreds of such works. English is not blocking any of that process. If only those who claim to love their native languages read and write books in their own languages things will change. Leave alone books. How many of these passionate Hindi lovers contribute to the Hindi Wikipedia (विकिपीडिया)? What is blocking them? English has done a great amount of good to India by opening India to the world. And we need to open up a lot. No amount of jingoist chest beating is going to change the fact that India needs English to communicate with the world. If I had not learned English, I would have written this answer in Tamil or Sanskrut, and I'm sure 90% of the readers would not have understood.

Crossing the damn road in my country.People seem to do it with such ease. I have seen people talk on the phone, feed their babies, solve quadratic equations, juggle balls, AND discuss intense political opinions while cruising through a road crossing. All this while the road is full of cars that are out to prove that mass can, in fact, travel faster than light.Well, me?I am basically a deer in headlights.I first take a few deep breaths and mentally prepare myself for the test. I then walk around looking for that perfect spot where the cars would magically vanish from the road and let me walk in peace. Alas, it is but a muggle’s world. So I wait till I muster the courage. When the search for the inner courage becomes embarrassingly long and people start staring at me in amusement for waiting at a crossing for an eternity, I pretend to have been delayed because I received that extremely important message I was waiting to receive all my life.Finally, I realize I have to move my ass or I would have moss growing out of my ears. When I start walking, I try all kinds of tricks to earn sympathy from car drivers to slow down. Often, I pretend to be hurt, or to be carrying a heavy load. Heck once when I was back after a long heavy lunch, I jutted out my tummy and pretended to be with child, hoping some car would let me pass. But nothing, absolutely nothing would slow the Formula one racers - talking about one track minds.Eventually I wait for other humans to feel the need to cross, and I safely surround myself with the crowd and walk at their pace. I always make sure to squeeze in the middle so I have a security blanket of human beings that are hypothetically offering themselves as my bodyguards and protecting me from the impact of speeding cars. Now, don’t rip me apart; I just executed an extremely difficult task - I crossed the road without killing myself.
