you're live out in California and New Mexico you know way out west and don't see yourself going to New York anytime soon you can kind of hold off getting the New York HUD however if you just happen to take a look going to New York Hut please contact quick Authority 24 hours prior to or you know as soon as you can contact us contact us we can obtain you a temp to perm New York hut which you we can get it back the same day as long as you don't call us until five o'clock in the evening we can get it back the same day and put it in your hands so you can travel through New York with that perm permanent however it is a temp to perm that's what we apply for it's a temp to perm it's a temporary permit that's good for 72 days and then when everything gets approved they will automatically send you out the New York Hut so you actually have a New York cut account at that point now with the temp to perm it would be good enough if in that case but if you see yourself going through New York all the time or you just want to go ahead and get it there is multiple ways that you can get it one come down here to Oscar but let's just look at the New York Hut website this is New York Hut's website kind of gives you a lot of details and who's exempt from the New York hunt and like I said if you weigh 18,000 pounds or more you must obtain a New York Hut permit and if you don't wait 18,000 then you don't need one now one thing about the New York Hut is you have to file quarterly reporting so every quarter is just like the kyu and the New Mexico you'll have to go in and report how many miles you traveled in their state during that quarter now if you don't understand the kyu or the IFTA or the New Mexico whatever on the quarterly reporting the quarters being January February March have to have it filed by April April May June has to be filed by the end of July July August September has to be filed by the end of October October November December has to be filed by the end of January so that's your quarters you have to file them every quarter how many miles you traveled in New York Hut if you travel any toll roads in New York you must report how many you know miles that you traveled on the toll road because what they do is they subtract those miles from the total miles traveled in New York so it actually reduces your cost because you're paying a toll so let's move on if you come here to Oscar I've got right here and if you scroll down to right here where it says forms for HUD click on it and you're probably asking yourself who is Oscar okay it is a website for New York State it's a one-stop credentialing and registration all right this is where you will be doing all your business with New York all right you won't be going direct to their office you'll be going through Oscar alright it is their website though guys right here where it says hut fu T and if the forms click right there scroll all the way down to the bottom here where you see new applicants for how we use tax HUD an automotive fuel carriers AFC's I do recommend open up the instructions let it open up read over this all right it tells you how to file this just one form go back to Oscar let's go back to this section right here and go to the forum at the bottom down there and you should end up with this form right here the new account applicant for heavy highways taghut now the way this works all right is you'll complete this form like I said do go and open up the instructions print them out so you have them handy so you can read over them and you can also relate back to it when you're filling this form out it's not a very difficult form but you must get it completed properly so you can have everything done right but anyway fill this completely out and down here there's a section where if you hire an agent the agent has to have a POA as you see right here all right if you are an agent they must have a POA to be able to make this volume for you other than that if you're doing it yourself then just complete it as yourself and you would be just fine now let's go back to here let's go back to these instructions when you get done filling that out and filling it out like this form says fill it out you fax the complete form over to this number right here alright complete the form and fax it over to that number right there now states right here what's going to happen all right it says P please allow three business days for processing so don't contact them until 72 hours you know we we've talked about that on the kyu please wait 72 hours the step by step with trucking inside you know we talked about the 72 hours please wait until 72 hours before you do anything well same thing here once your authority's going active for 72 hours then complete this form and send it in and then wait another 72 hours for you contact them alright you can contact Oscar or whoever if you need to contact them however it says you will be notified by fax or email when your account is approved and provide instructions to attain your Hut or AFC credentials online at Oscar all right now check this out what they will email you and it comes with your password right here I know y'all can't see my password but however that's what they email you they email your form with that information on it all right that's that simple also I just wanted to show you all the quarterly reporting here is a quarter reporting of seven one two nine thirty eighteen due date okay when you go online this is when you complete this is the form that they will send you in your email all right just so you can keep for your records alright as you can see I didn't pay nothing because I didn't travel in New York during that quarter but then I have another one up here I did pay something I paid an amount of seven dollars and seventy five cents alright and then I traveled only 150 miles in there so you break that down per mile and that'll tell you what they charge per mile to run in their state and this is for the quarter before that last quarter I just showed you so as from four to six do by 730 118 you kind of see how that works now a temporary two firm on this new truck that I had bought the 2016 Volvo I bought it's like my second load out I had to get a temporary to perm now however once you open an account let's just say you know the first go-around you have to call somebody like quick Authority or calm dad or somebody like that to get a temp to perm alright but once you create the Oscar account say for instance you add more trucks to your fleet you can go right into that Oscar account and add trucks take away trucks you can get temple affirmed permits without going through somebody you can actually go through Oscar to do that get a temp to perm and a lot of cases you know you can go ahead and just order it in advance for the truck unless you get a load like has to immediately go there then you know you got to do what you got to do now I just want to show you what the New York Hut looks like this is the permit all right it's a double-sided form and it just has some wording on it all right it doesn't have any account numbers whatsoever on it so it's just basic information and then if you scroll on down to the next form now this is a double-sided form these two forms here this is on the back side of this form right here alright this is this form right here is on the back side of this form right here all right what it shows is it shows your trucks what trucks you have in your fleet and their information alright and as you can see over here it shows the certificate number I pulled truck to 2013 alright my 2013 truck number 3 2013 Kenworth the might I pulled it out and here's the permit number alright they are monitored so it's not like the issue these number without registering them to you this is the permit it creates right here it's just bigger than a than a if the sticker so it's not very big it's probably 4 inches by 3 inches it's not very big at all now this does have to be placed on the front of the truck don't get caught putting it on skirting don't get caught pitting it on the back of the truck the side of the truck this goes right on the front of the truck fitted on the bumper put it on the headlight they show proper placement and I'm gonna show you all that anyway that's that permit so let's go back to truck and inside placement of a New York Hut sticker if you click right here I have already downloaded this form that New York cut has this is where they want the New York Hut all right this is where they want the AFC and I guess the AFC I don't know what it is because I've never had one so anyway it's for fuel carriers the AFC they got to have one on the trailer and then the AFC has to have one on the front of the truck before is the New York Hut it must go on the front of the truck all right if you ever see a picture of my Volvo I've got a metal plate that I put on the front of my truck just for the New York Hut so that way it doesn't have to be stuck to my bumper and it's in front of my because I got a brush guard on the front of that truck so as you can see I got the brush guard there so I've got a bracket that's mounted down below right there that I have the New York Hut stuck to that way you can't block it see if you pin it behind something in the location of the police officer cannot see that decal coming at you or passing you in this mirror if you cannot see that decal it is against the law they have to be able to see that decal but guys this is pretty much the end of the New York Hut if you have any questions
