Should you eat fast food?
10 STRONG REASONS TO STOP EATING FAST FOOD10 Strong reasons to stop eating fast foodWhy is fast food unhealthy? How to stop eating fast food? Did you know that obesity is second only to smoking as a preventable cause of death in the US? That is just one of the reasons that you shouldn’t be eating fast, or junk food. Add to that the many other health risks associated with fast food, along with the animal welfare considerations, too, and you have a really good case for staying away from the burger joints and other junk food outlets. Here are ten very good reasons why you should stop eating fast food:1. Food hygieneNot everyone who works in fast food restaurants is as careful about basic food hygiene as you probably are. How can you be sure that they washed hands before preparing your food or that the utensils they have used are clean? It’s not uncommon to read about fast food outlets that have been closed down because of poor hygiene, and that’s just the ones that have been caught!2. Low price means low qualityWhy do you think that some fast food outlets can sell their food cheaply? Primarily, it’s because they use the cheapest possible ingredients. That means burgers, with very little meat, wilted salad and burger buns that have more air in them than bread! This means it has very limited nutritional value and a load of salt added, to create some flavour.3. It promotes poor animal welfare conditionsThe constant pressure that is out on farmers by fast food restaurants, to drive prices down promotes the need for cruel, intensive farming methods. Factory farmed animals are forced to live in awful conditions. They are often also pumped full of chemicals to enhance their growth and fight infection and those chemicals can be passed on in the food you eat.4. You don’t know what’s in your foodYou really have no idea what goes into your fast food, but most chains and independent outlets are looking for low price and a long shelf life. That means the cheapest meat available, like reclaimed meat, which is the meat that is mechanically recovered from the carcass, after all the good meat has been used. Such meat is often then coloured artificially, flavoured artificially and it contains large amounts of artificial preservatives.5. It can cause depression in teenagersBecause of all the hormonal changes, going on in a teenager’s body, they need a healthy diet to ward off mood swings and behavioural issues. Teenagers that eat more junk food than fresh food are nearly 60% more likely to suffer from depression.7. It can increase the risk of kidney diseaseThe reason that fries are so tempting is because they contain huge amounts of highly processed salt which increases salivation and even causes a craving. The high salt and fat content in fries increases blood pressure and adversely affects the functioning of the kidneys.8. It can affect the functioning of the brainIn a study conducted by the journal ‘Brain, Behaviour and Immunity’, researchers found that one week of eating junk food was enough to impair the memory of rats. It is believed that the bad fats in fast food replaces the healthy fats in the brain and so impairs brain functions.9. It increases the risk of heart diseaseThis is probably no surprise, but too much fast food increases the risk of heart disease. Junk food contains high levels of cholesterol and triglyceride, which builds up in your body over time and will eventually lead to obesity and heart problems.10. It increases the risk of cancerFast foods are high in fat, sugar and salt, which can lead to an increased risk of cancer. Studies have proven that there is a direct link between the amount of fatty, fried food that people eat and the incidence of cancer.

What are some unexpected things first-time visitors to Germany notice?
I came one year back in September 2014, landed in Frankfurt-Flughafen. Shock #1It was pretty neat and tidy (ya, but that's known to everyone about how Germany likes having it all clean). But it was the same day evening, I was handed over a paper known as Waste removal and collection days (known as : Abfallkalender) Service Abfallwirtschaft Stuttgart (AWS) their website for Stuttgart city (just simply search Abfallkalender+Name of the city and done.Shock #2As soon as I came out of Airport, seemed like people liked racing a lot. Yes, as heard the famous Autobahn. Superb and was lucky to ride it on my first visit to Germany (of course because of my friend). Best of all, seeing Bugatti Veyron 16.9 ramming it's wheels overtaking us. Also, even if you are crossing on zebra crossings, drivers will wait for you even though how fast they are. (That doesn't mean you don't look and just jump onto zebra crossing outta nowhere) :D Source: Wikipedia (Whole Autobahn network)Shock #3Bread !! They are everywhere, but a fantastic thing to have it anytime you want. There are whole lot of varieties of bread available and the best thing would is all are baked by bakers who has valid certification to make bread. One needs to be certified for everything here, that includes hair salon also. As happens to be same here, food regulatory board (Gesundheitsamt) needs to check whether preparing food is in clean environment. Belehrungen Lebensmittelberufe gemäß Infektionsschutzgesetz (To keep cleanliness and infection free surrounding) Edit: According to comment received- 90% or more of the bakeries just finish baking the stuff delivered to them half-frozen every morning. Not much certification needed to run them, probably the same amount as for selling ice cream.Shock #4There are lot of fast food trucks and restaurants, but majority of them at least you'll find it is Kebap shops (it's turkish cuisine) and they are everywhere. Pizzas, Pide, and out of all, the top on the list is Döner. Students best and fastest snack. Shock #5Usually main roads and streets are named similar and after big cities. Once you start visiting other cities, it can be observed that you would find Dresdenerstraße, Leipzigerstraße, etc. and its named so as you know where are you going. Two cities would have other city's name as the street at that end where we can travel by so as one can know the direction where we are heading too. (Quite intelligent).Shock #6 GEMA !! Gesellschaft für musikalische Aufführungs- und mechanische Vervielfältigungsrechte a.k.a. Society for musical performing and mechanical reproduction rights. Believe me, if you are from country where watching videos has nothing to do with the word 'restriction' then, try doing it in Germany. Shock #7 Availability of drinking water. I was taken aback when I got to know the purity of water in Germany in any normal water tubing system, which is drinkable. Usually, there are sign boards from which water can't be consumed (Kein trinkwasser) Top-Noten fr deutsches Trinkwasser This shows amount of impurities or nitrad in water system in whole of Germany.

How can I prepare for IELTS by myself?
I prepared for IELTS by myself and ended up securing a 7.5 overall band with a 8.5 in listening and reading and 6.5 and 7 in writing and speaking respectively. To be quite honest, in my opinion, it doesn’t matter whether you receive any formal training or not. All that matters is that you practice via a wide range of resources, and do not limit your self to just the IELTS material. Personally speaking, i would advise you to go through the IELTS Cambridge series compromising of 1–9 books. Each book consists of four tests, and it is my advise that you practice at least 20–25 tests before appearing in the exam. Also, you should focus on going through all the books as each test is a bit different in terms of the questions asked, and it generally broadens your horizon, and you become susceptible to more questions.Out of all the four components listening is perhaps the easiest, and you should score around 6–6.5 in the first few tests you take. With practice you can improve the score to around 7 or 8 band quite easily. Also to enhance your listening skills you should watch documentaries or movies without English subtitles, and try to comprehend what the speaker is saying. The reading portion is perhaps the toughest in IELTS and requires a lot of practice, skills, discipline, and techniques. The portion is not difficult due to the advance English, but merely because of the time constraints. Never the less strong vocabulary does help in coping this situation. Enhancing scores in this portion is only possible after doing the practice tests. Also, i recommend you to read novels of notable authors, most preferably classic English novels. More-over you should read articles of newspapers such as the newyork times ot The Economic Times as many of the extracts are taken from these sources and are presented in the exam. Moreover, in IELTS it is not essential or imperative that you understand the entire article as, you just need to understand the jist of the article and comprehend what the writer is saying. Also, techniques such as skimming and scanning are useful as you do not have time to read the entire article. Key words in the questions are also import to understand. I would also advice you to subscribe to the youtube channels on LIZ and Learn English with Emma. Both of them are renowned IELTS instructors and provide extremely useful advice and techniques to cope with reading.Speaking tests your pronunciation, fluency and how well you are able to talk at length with coherence. In order to prepare for speaking, you should try speaking at length. In the speaking portion of ielts books, there is usually a sample speaking test. Go through those tests. Usually there are three sections. The first section is quite easy in which you are asked general questions about your family or your neighborhood etc, and in this portion you usually need to give answers in one or two sentences. However, the second portion requires you to speak for 1–2 minutes. It is best if you speak for two minutes, and speaking for two minutes in english for a certain topic which perhaps you have never imagined before in your life requires serious practice, and hence i stress again how important it is to practice the IELTS Cambridge book. The third section of the test is a continuation of the second section in which again you have to answer in two-three sentences. For the second portion i was not able to speak at length and i spoke for almost a minute and half, and thus a seven band. Other than that, i was fluent and used good vocabulary, giving pauses where required when speaking. For writing, again practicing is important. You must learn the format of answering the first section and the second section and for that again watching videos of Liz and Emma would be helpful. Other than that you should focus on improving your grammar and vocabulary and sentence structures and try to make your writing more diversified. Again, the section is of one hour. Never write below the word count no matter what as you will end up losing band for task completion. Also, try to stick to the topic. In the first section where you are asked to analyze the pie charts or tables, never give your own opinion. Analyze only what is depicted in the graphs. In writing you words such as moreover, however,in addition to(a complete list is provided by both liz and emma on there websites and channels which you would have to search) to get a good band.I hope you would be successful in your pursuit of a good score.

In most of the world, street food is sold in abundance. Why is it so uncommon in the United States?
Over-regulation is probably the main reason.Where street food does exist, Americans go crazy for it — so crazy, they’re willing to pay sort of outrageous prices. The Salvadoran guy isn't going to sell you a chicharrón pupusa for 75 cents if he knows you'll pay $7 for it.Here in downtown Minneapolis, when the weather is nice, food trucks are lined up outside Canadian Pacific Plaza. Lines of people practically wrap around the block to spend $10 or more on fairly small portions. I usually go for the $2.50 tacos, which are good, but $7.50 for three tacos is highway robbery compared to tacos on the street down in Mexico itself. (I was in Mexico last April and remember getting six tacos in a market in Guadalajara for $1.50 total. Twenty-five cents each.)Street food in the United States tends to be kind of expensive. I’m 99% confident this is because the owners of food trucks have to pay out the ass to get certified by the local health board. The owners don’t just buy a truck, hook a trailer to the back, and start selling food. No way. Unless you’re a kid on the corner with your little lemonade stand, you’ll be slapped with big fines for doing that. (And honestly, I’m amazed the government hasn’t found an excuse to ban 25-cent lemonade stands run by kindergartners. Fear of food poisoning runs deep.) Health bureaucracy — some of it understandable — drives up the cost.In most U.S. cities, the weather sucks for at least a third of the year. In Minneapolis, it sucks for a solid 6 months. Business owners don’t usually to want to be outside in the cold even for a few hours at lunch. Customers don’t want to stand there. This is less of an issue down in Austin, Texas — which has a booming street food scene, because it’s warm — and in countries like India or Mexico. Their weather just isn’t so harsh. (For the record, people travel to Austin specifically to eat at food trucks. They’re a huge attraction and a major boon to young food entrepreneurs. But this isn’t the norm in the U.S.)My assumption is that street food in India isn’t regulated by health inspectors. If there’s a line of people eating at a particular food stand in Mumbai or somewhere, it has a good reputation and is probably safe to eat at. If there’s nobody eating there, that’s your sign to avoid it. The locals are almost like the “unofficial board of health.” (Though any food stand in India might give a Westerner "Delhi belly," just by virtue of there being organisms in the water used to wash it that Western bellies haven't been exposed to yet. I got Delhi belly in Cuba for just this reason. Also known as "Montezuma's revenge.")In some countries, lower incomes also increase the need for cheap eats on the street. With rising income inequality in the U.S. and Europe, there’s a niche here. I can’t speak for Europe, but in the U.S., I think you’ll see American consumer mentality kick in: if something is “too cheap,” we often assume it either doesn’t taste good, it’s low-quality, or it isn’t safe to eat. A 99-cent hot dog causes some people to be suspicious and wonder where it came from. “Is this lips, tits and assholes?” A $7.00 hot dog “must be better.” Especially if you slap the word “organic” on it.Another difference is that, by and large, American sit-down restaurants aren’t usually expensive, at least not for Americans. In countries like Iceland and Sweden, street food often exists because restaurants there are phenomenally expensive, at least for tourists. (I’ve been to Iceland twice, and I’ve still never eaten in a restaurant up there. But I have eaten a hot dog from a Reykjavik food stand.) Fast food used to be a lot cheaper in the U.S. than it currently is. In fact, we still have “dollar menus” at McDonalds, etc., for people looking to only spend a few bucks. They’re low-quality food, and I’m not defending them, but they’re sort of a stand-in for “street food.”Downtown areas that are packed with office workers at lunch are often empty around breakfast time and dinner. Obviously, the virtue of a food truck is that you can physically move it to wherever the population of the city wanders off to during the course of the day. But there are still limitations. For example, they’ll drive and set up near bars, breweries and parks in the evening. The trouble there is sometimes just finding a place to park that doesn’t annoy local business owners trying to make money off their own business. Most pubs selling food don’t want a cheap taco stand on wheels nearby. They’re not going to give you their parking lot. And my assumption is that zoning regulations prohibit people from just pulling up on the sidewalk and selling stuff.I’m kind of a pro-U.S. hawk on Quora, but this is a classic example of Americans not having the freedoms that people in many other countries do. We’re stuck like a voodoo doll with ordinances, regulations and finger-wagging no-nos from the do-gooders.Pedestrians certainly exist in many U.S. cities. But we’re also a much more car-based culture most countries are. Plus, the overwhelming majority of the U.S. is still rural. Food trucks out there just haven’t really taken off.I’m not defending this. Just explaining the way things are.But don’t forget that even 30 years ago, “food trucks,” per se, were a rarity. They’ve really taken off in some urban areas. Then again, 100 years ago, you could definitely find peanut vendors, old Polish sausage salesmen, and others on the streets of Old New York or Old Chicago. Here’s a photo of some guys eating clams and oysters off a cart in New York, outside an Italian pharmacy:It hasn’t vanished forever. Health boards just put the pinch on it, then hipsters took up the torch. And don’t forget Georgia White, “Get ’Em From the Peanut Man” (1936).

How can one be a successful luxury real estate agent?
Ah yes.The lifestyle of the rich and famous. Fast cars. Fancy outfits.Little stone statues at the front of the entryway. The allure is undeniable. And for real estate agents, the chance to eat a slice of the luxury pie is an alluring prospect indeed. ...Especially if that slice comes in the form of a 3% commission off of a multi-million dollar listing. But how does a realtor establish themselves as a luxury agent in the first place?Well, it’s not easy. You can obtain a GREL Certification, for starters. This will walk you down the path of becoming a legitimate, certified luxury real estate agent. But regardless, one thing is certain,To deal with luxury real estate, an agent needs to buckle down. Here are a five powerful tips that could fast track your goals to becoming a Luxury real estate agent.#1 YOU NEED TO KNOW WHAT YOU ARE DOINGBefore you even think of moving forward, ask yourself… do I know what I’m doing? There are many newbie real estate agents that jump from taking the test to becoming a luxury real estate agent.Unless you already have the background and experience in real estate, I strongly suggest you get some experience under your belt. That experience could help you avoid lawsuits and save you money.Simply taking 6 months to learn the ropes at a local real estate brokerage, while shadowing another successful luxury real estate agent, could be the difference in your failure or success. That extra experience will help you feel more confident when taking on a luxury listing and the mentor will help you develop the skills needed to be the greatest in your field.#2 YOU NEED TO LOOK THE PARTNormally we encourage real estate agents to relax and be themselves. Your clients will love you and appreciate your authenticity. Are you the laid back but trusted Realtor who wears jeans and flip flops every day? Show that in your marketing. Are you the young and modern Realtor with a focus on minimalism and technology? Show that in your marketing. I encourage agents to use their personality to market their businesses. However, when you are transitioning to luxury real estate, you need to figure out a way to make sure that your marketing and your style represents the luxury industry. Luxury real estate is a visual niche. The house, the car, the owners, the buyers and the agent all look the part. How to look like a luxury real estate agent? Here are some tipsPay for luxury branding – Make sure everything, from your website and business cards to your signs and advertising, is designed and printed to represent your luxury clientele.Dress to impress – Make sure your clothing is clean, pressed and tailored. First impressions go a long way when trying to win a listing. Just starting out? Purchase one or two neutral suits and multiple dress shirts/blouses. Keep them dry cleaned and wear those when meeting new clients or networking. The suits will be so neutral many won’t recognize you’ve worn it before. Switch up the blouses and/or dress shirts and you’ll always look professional and put together.Drive a nice car – It may sound vain, but in the luxury industry it is a necessity to make sure your car is nice, especially if you are driving luxury buyers around to look at homes. Your car should not only look nice but it should be clean and smell good as well. If you can't afford a luxury car, try Uber, a peer to peer taxi service, allows you to taxi luxury cars. Using Uber, you can sit in the back with your clients and they will get that luxury experience while going on walkthroughs. The only thing to look out for when using any taxi service is timing. This is why I don’t suggest using a taxi service when meeting with a seller unless you are paying them to wait for you outside. After presenting an amazing listing presentation you don’t want to be chilling around at a client’s house waiting for your ride.#3 YOU NEED TO UTILIZE THE LATEST IN REAL ESTATE TECHNOLOGYIf you want a luxury buyer to hire you as their agent or if you want to win a luxury listing, you need to show clients that you can provide them with the latest in real estate marketing and technology. Make sure you understand how to utilize the latest technology to find and market homes and that you can effectively combine that knowledge with traditional techniques.Remember, just having flashy tools isn’t enough. You need to know how to use them effectively to increase the client’s ROI.Technology Used by Luxury Real Estate AgentsElectronic signature softwareShowing feedback softwareInteractive yard signsBeautifully designed websites with powerful home search enginesActive social media and blogsCloud document storageVirtual phone numbersThe latest gadgets (Touch screen laptops, tablets, smartphones, etc.)#4 YOU NEED A LISTING PRESENTATION THAT WOWSTo win a luxury listing, you need to do more than click through a generic PowerPoint and pass out faded flyers and postcard examples. Instead – tweak your presentation to the property. Imagine the impression you’ll make when the seller sees a postcard with their house on it? And marketing that caters to their neighborhood and their current needs?Making those extra steps to personalize your listing presentation is worth the investment. Here are some key points to help you out.Pay for luxury branding – Make sure your listing presentation, listing package and examples are all professionally designed and printed to represent your luxury brand.Memorize your presentation – Although no two listing presentations will ever be the same, knowing the foundation of your presentation will be valuable. It will allow you to quickly and easily skip sections, answer questions without getting off-track and help you sound professional and knowledgeable about marketing real estate.Encourage participation – Get the sellers involved by allowing them to pretend to be buyers. Show them what happens when they text the number on the yard sign. Take them on a walk-through of their listings from your point of view. Luxury sellers are constantly being “sold” to. To get an edge, show them exactly why they should hire you. Actions speak louder than words.#5 YOU NEED TO SUPERCHARGE YOUR FOLLOW UPPotential clients searching for or selling traditional homes need basic follow-up strategies to convert them into clients. Those strategies include using the information collected in your CRM to send them email marketing, postcards and the occasional phone call.In retrospect, potential clients searching for or selling luxury homes need traditional follow-up combined with action to convert them into clients. Just sending a card that says happy birthday isn’t enough. For wealthy clients, sending gifts on birthdays and invitations to exclusive events in the area are key to establishing a healthy lead flow. Here are few tipsRemember the details – When you run into a potential luxury client, whether by chance or by a scheduled meeting, take notes and/or memorize the small details of their life. These small details include spouses, children, hobbies, vacation spots, etc. Make sure you put these things into your CRM and use these details to come up with innovative follow-up techniques.Use partner resources – Developing a lead funnel for luxury clients can be costly. This is why it is imperative to have partners that can provide discounts and resources to luxury amenities. The decision to buy and/or sell a luxury home isn’t an easy one. The real estate sales and lead cycle is already a long one – add in the luxury component and the lead cycle can be even longer. Don’t be discouraged if a potential client hasn’t responded after following up with them for longer than 3 months. Many times, they are busy, on vacation, or dealing with business. Unless they say “remove me from your list” keep marketing. You’ll be in the front of their minds when they are ready to hire a real estate professional.

Is there any recourse for a driver who is cited for speeding if, after entering an unfamiliar road/highway with NO Speed Limit S
Yes, there is recourse: you can go to court, and challenge the citation. In most states, exceeding the posted speed limit is prima facie evidence that your speed in unsafe. In the absence of a posted speed limit, or some other standard, the government would need to prove that you were going at an unsafe speed, with evidence and testimony, and so on.If you were going a hundred miles an hour, or if you were driving on ice, then a case could be made. But if the entire thing hinges on what a police officer’s guess of what the speed limit ought to be, then the magistrate will quite possibly dismiss the case.Note that some jurisdictions may have special rules establishing speed limits even when they are not posted. One word of caution: What you “truly believe” to be a safe speed is largely irrelevant. There is no element of willfulness in the definition of speeding, so if you argue this point you will most likely be wasting your time. And whatever you do, do not trust anonymous legal advice from the internet.
