One of the typical false reasons is the transfer to Lightning Experience from Classic. There is no reason why you should need to configure a new org. Sometimes, however, the org needs to be split as in companies splitting into to entities. A lot of prework needs to be spent on understanding the newco’s business process and how it should differ from the existing support in Salesforce.I know, not much information, but by expanding the question to give us insight into why the SF to SF transfer, would help me understand what you want to achieve.
