so we are in backstage view which is where we need to be and we are going to search for a template so up in our search box with an icky and billing statements press ENTER and the billing statement templates they want us to use looks like this one so hopefully you all have it I'm going to go ahead and hit create templates are pretty awesome because formulas and everything are all pre-formatted so all you basically have to do is customize it a little bit and they certainly can save you a lot of time so we're going to key in the name of the company will go down to street address it is important if you are using a template that you do fill in you know all the placeholders otherwise it does not look very professional let's see address too and if you didn't have an address to I would just delete the text out of there otherwise it is going to display nits going to look pretty silly right so we've got the name of the company in their address and then we'll go fill in their phone number you can see why it's kind of important to remember to change this data okay and it looks like we're going to have to key in the parentheses here yep unfortunately this is not a pre-formatted number that's enter so for the facts we're going to do something similar you have to key in the formatting with this one as well and again for the email address definitely want to key in the correct one and the statement number and the customer ID the date should be good well always helpful if you key in the right ID and then we'll fill in the bill to information and the nice thing about ten places to keep everything nice and standard now be 15 and here for the date so the format is a two-digit month two-digit day in a four-digit year so we are going to be keying in 09 whoop HB a 9 / 22 / 20 18 and you can use your right arrow or your tab to get over to type kien system unit and wanted the current date over in the date but that's fine if you use the one that's in the book does not matter to me if you guys put the current date or the date from the book for the invoice number it's 7452 and after descriptions [Music] seem out and they put a down payment on that and you'll notice the subtraction is automatically done for us and then down in South c21 the customer name and a mountain close we'll put in 750 and that pretty much completes the billing statement so we are going to save this into rel1 c6 folders and we're going to adjust the name a little we're going to call it six dash billing okay and you do not need to worry about printing and you can close this and again they're pretty much just keying in the data and customizing and if you want to put today's date instead of the date that's in the example that's fine either way is good
