hey coffee nerds i'm brody and today i'm going to show you how to make three of my favorite signature drinks with either coffee or tea as a base now these are great summer drinks that can be enjoyed with or without alcohol we've got the cardamom latte the espresso tonic and the moroccan mojito i've actually put together a quick book online an online recipe book down in the description if you go click that link there's a few more recipes in there and it shows you which alcohols each one is good to pair with but these ones are super easy so let's just get right to it iced cardamom latte so this one right here is definitely becoming a summertime classic on the age-long tradition of putting cardamom and coffee together they've been doing it in the middle east for centuries and probably many other countries so if you know of any other countries that use cardamom and coffee together in some beautiful recipes i'd love to hear from you in the meantime let's start with some ice this one works best if you have a shaker but you can always use a jar with a lid and strain out afterwards pour in your milk of choice i prefer oat milk some simple syrup half an ounce your cardamom bitters and a slap of mint then shake it up [Music] now if you can't find cardamom bitters near you that's okay you can easily find ground cardamom at your local supermarket and that's where the coffee comes in i'm using an arrow press to get a strong brew and adding my cardamom grounds to that but you can easily use an espresso machine or a french press too with the same concept [Music] strain your mix over ice in your glass and add the coffee for a beautiful cascading effect [Music] espresso tonic now this is a super delightful combination and it really helps if you have an espresso machine for absolute crema texture with the coffee but a strongly brewed aeropress is the next best thing so we're going to be using that again here fill your glass with ice pour in your tonic and squeeze in some fresh lemon juice one lemon wedge will do perfectly now for the coffee it's best to use one a little bit more on the fruity side with a lot of citric notes coming through so you know the roast profile and the origin will have a lot to play here but if you need help finding a coffee like that definitely reach out and we can get you sorted and since i don't have an espresso machine i'm going to whisk up my aeropress here with a little electric whisk to get maximum foaminess pour in your coffee over the tonic see how it foams up [Music] and then garnish with another wedge moroccan mojito now as you can tell by the name i was very inspired by moroccan tea and their extremely comforting mix of black tea mint and sugar but where the mojito comes in is with the lime and of course the ice it's just so nice the first thing you'll want to do is make your tea concentrate by adding five grams of black tea five grams of peppermint and a good tablespoon of cane sugar to mix with 150 milliliters of hot water [Music] so next up i like to use big ice chunks for this one but any old ice will do [Music] stick the ice in your cup and throw that in the freezer for a few minutes to frost up now grab your shaker and more ice strain in your tea concentrate slice out two wedges of lime and squeeze them in throw in the peels too that's nice shake it up and get it frothy to strain into your cup [Music] slide in some more mint to garnish so there you have it three of my favorite signature summertime drinks that you can make at home super easily if you can't tell i do love my mint in this one too i love my coffee and these two and i also love my tea so if you like this video hit me a like if you learned something here or if you have any uh other signature drinks that you'd like to contribute i would love to hear from you and now would be a great time to subscribe for more drink recipes coming down the shoot and as usual hope to see you in the next video
