[Music] hey guys andrew with cpr instructor affiliates powered by prime medical training we are a national aha training center today we're going to be taking you through the initial instructor setup so if you are just getting into the industry and you're wondering what all you need to get your cpr business off the ground this is going to be the video for you what i'm going to be talking about today is primarily targeted at american heart association instructors if you're not an aha instructor then i would highly recommend you start researching how to become one because if you're looking to grow a business that's going to be the most marketable certification that you can have on top of the other ones like red cross or hsi but uh some of this video like when we talk about equipment it'll apply no matter what certification you have but here in the in the beginning we're going to just take a look at some aha specific things assuming that you're an aha instructor so you need to make sure that you have the curriculum necessary to teach the course and if you're teaching an aha class there are three things that you need to have you've got to have the course dvd you need to have a student manual for each of your instructor or for each of your students and you need to have the instructor manual now the instructor manual comes as like this loose leaf paper work and so we put them into one inch binders to keep it a little bit more organized and we just take the front and back of the uh the loose leaf and make it the um the front and back cover for these binders it's worked out pretty well for us so these are must haves if you're an instructor you cannot be teaching courses without these materials according to the aha the other really handy thing that we use is these binders these are accordion binders and we have them for each class and we have multiples for each class so if we're teaching a class here in our classroom and then there's another one going on at a dentist office at the same time and we're using multiple instructors we have multiple of these that they can pick up grab and go to teach their class and inside we keep things like the dvd which is usually going to be here in the front we have skill sheets we've got the exams we have the answer sheets and and then just some other reference tools that we put in here for our instructors to use it's a great handy thing it's compact portable and so this is uh what i highly recommend you guys use or something very similar to this to keep your paperwork organized and to be able to administer your courses a couple other pieces of paperwork that we've created that we've found...
