hello my name is Adam Johnson and I am an attorney with the Denver regional office of the federal Labor Relations Authority or the FLRA and I'm here to speak to you today about unfair labor practices or you LPs committed by unions now before I get into the presentation I want to explain two terms that you're going to be hearing using very frequently and the first is you'll hear me refer to the authority and what the authority is is it's a component of the FLRA that amongst other things essentially is our Supreme Court they're the highest level of review so if you hear me talking about a decision or a case that I say the authority decided all that means is that the case made its way all the way up to the top of our agency and the authority then issued a decision that's binding on the rest of our agency the second term you'll hear me use a lot is the statute and when I say the statute I'm referring to the Federal service labor-management relations statute which is a piece of legislation
