hey y'all my name is ultimate if you guys are new to the channel hit the subscribe button down below very much appreciate it um hit the notification bell more importantly turn that on to all by the way go check down in the description go follow me on all the other youtube channels check out my social medias um instagram i release a lot of content that i don't release here there so check that out as well yeah like share subscribe all that good stuff but let's jump into it okay so it's not a full episode obviously i think the full episodes we're gonna be doing monday through thursday and then we're gonna be doing kind of these single pieces uh throughout the other three days right um okay so i want to go into this is an opinion article right i wanted to break this down i think it was actually pretty well done okay um okay this is in uh s s i live for yes live or whatever whatever it is but this is published today at 10 a.m date is sunday march 7th this is by tom uh broblelski sorry butchered that probably okay title is though here's how new york will screw up legalized flower legalized plants legalized monetization i can't say it for monetization reasons probably still won't get monetized on this but we'll see cross our fingers guys it's literally luck of the look of the draw honestly at this point but um anyways enough of that let's go into this though i i personally i think that this pretty good opinion piece i think that makes some great arguments that i agree with i think a lot of this is based off of california um and some other markets as well but i think california is really the where a lot of this opinion comes from so yeah tom bar this is by tom robleski but let's go over it okay so staten island new york new york is moving even closer to legalizing flower for recreational use or adult use as advocates call it whatever i feel you i feel you okay legalization's been coming for a while now ever since the state approved the use of flour for medicinal use and despite the reluctance of lawmakers for more conservative districts the pandemic has added to fiscal fuel that you know meaning that the pandemic has created a need for funding like a lot of these states need it and so you know the this new industry could bring in millions millions and millions of dollars for tax revenue so let's go where it really starts so by some estimates new york could see 300 million dollars a year from the sale of flower that's when the program is fully up and running years from now of course but let's not harsh the buzz but new york lawmakers shouldn't start counting that money quite yet and that's a great one because i went through this really quickly and i saw that that caught my eye i was like okay this person actually knows what they're talking about so as go as we've seen in other states that have legalized there are precious few guarantees in the world of legal flower and that is so true this industry chaotic confusing um and downright sometimes it's a tough one trust me i'm in it it's stuff it is tough and there's a lot of different areas of this industry that are tough you know the growers just love you know shout outs all the growers by the way i love you guys you guys i've i've set up outdoor grows with people you know i was just like a labor helping set it up i've set up some indoor you know i've seen the process and trust me once you set up some grows you really do really grow like i'm by no means any sort of growing expert or you know at all but when you do the work you see the work happen it's you gotta respect it it's tough right um and then there's also just being starting a business you know operating up you know branding it right you have to now there's so many things right there's it's a tough business right now it's a new one right and so i salute everyone that's in this industry that trying to make their way through it um anyway let's keep going though other states have legalized haven't seen the expected windfall from sales and in large part they've got nobody to blame but themselves because they and this is actually this is really what caught my eye they over taxed the product to the point that it's simply not appealing okay so i want to say really quickly i am someone who is not anti-tax i am you know i am definitely you know not not by that any means whatsoever uh taxes are important uh but we have to look at taxes and who they hurt who they help and overall what's the health of the the industry what is it how does it you know this is we gotta let's personify this industry right i always say this right so let's let's say this industry's like a little baby right you know it's young it's it's infant stage right you don't overburden it right you're not going to go to a three-year-old you better go wash the dishes better do all these chores right you're not it's not even realistic right you know that's not maybe the best analogy but maybe you don't want to over burn it necessarily initially and if you overburden it initially like you over tax people initially because i'm kind of uh i'll say this first is i'm if you've been watching me for a while you probably know this but if you're new to this channel i'm very very very pro small business right very pro small business i really want to see a lot of people that were in the legal market or the medical market to be able to transfer over and compete in this market you know corporations you know it's going to happen they're going to come in they already have come in but i want to see small business win i want to see the ogs win i want to see people from the older markets win and so but my main point being though is when you over tax especially early on who does that help and who does it hurt well it hurts the small business it hurts the you know the people trying to transfer in that you know from the legal market that you know maybe don't have a ton of money and and it does in fact help big business because what does that do that it gets rid of their competition right it gets rid of their competition and like i said early on with this type of industry this is not something that is is good for you and me really collectively it really just helps big money right later on down you know when we have a more matured market people have you know really rooted themselves and they have a little bit better better ability to you know pay you know then then maybe raise the taxes but we're seeing in state after state after state we're seeing a lot of states just the massive overburden of taxes and california isn't a great example right chicago illinois is a great example uh my home state washington it's yeah it's pretty bad but it's it's like and let me just say really quick i think washington is about 39 tax and by the way i just want to for anybody that doesn't know because it's this industry it's because it's this plant we don't have access to not traditional marketing we can't advertise right we don't access to traditional banking and we don't have access to to traditional business uh tax benefits right so you can't write off any taxes right so you know how all these businesses you know either operate a business or you you know you can write off expenses right and that can be taken off your taxes because you're pumping money into the economy but in this industry that's not allowed because federally you know they don't allow that so and that will change over time but you know you put a hundred thousand dollars into expenses well you're still paying that taxes you're not writing that off you're still right so it's tough and who does this help it just helps big business it doesn't if people are so worried about the social equity right we always talk people if you know what social equity is really you know it's it's allowing for people that have been harmed by the you know uh the just you know the war on drugs people that have you know there's that right and then there's also i think an aspect too of like you know it should be you know for the people that are you know if you want to and then also if you want to get rid of the legal market you need to have have these people be able to transition transition over or at least that would be good eventually the legal market will be unfortunately unfortunately in a sense will be destroyed but that really right there though you know social equity applicant for example they're going to be hurt by these massive amounts of taxes anyway i don't want to go down the social equity rabbit hole right now but point being is high taxes really does hurt the market and it hurts the consumer and we're going to get into now this part so greed greed greed this is what what's his name again tom wright so greed greed greed it's a trap that new york could easily fall into given its tax happy past and it probably will happen i mean if you look at most of these these these markets in these different states i mean these policy makers are greedy greedy in the sense were and they're also just thinking very short term and you know this is one of the the products of democracy and having to get reelected and stuff and so you have to kind of be thinking in the short term whereas like a country like china they can think 20 years ahead but you know that's and that's fine that's one of the you know it's worth it to have a democracy and not anyway i'm not trying to go down that rabbit hole either but these policy makers really are not looking at the long term they want to get as much money as possible early on and that in the long term is just not gonna it's gonna it's not gonna do well also in the short term is gonna hurt them too because they're not gonna get as much any sales because the illegal market will still be popping off because and this is the point we're gonna get to it's too expensive way too expensive in a lot of places okay so um and this is what i mean so there's a story this is what's continuing on the article anybody listening on audio if you want to listen to the audio version by the way of these you can spotify apple podcast anywhere anyway there was so let's keep going tom right so there was a story out of chicago the other day that said that the street is sometimes half the price of the legal flower being pushed half the price what you expect you expect consumers and all and also we got to say this too the illegal market they already have their infrastructure laid down right they've already been there for years and years and years operating right those illegal that infrastructure right you know so because you know it i learned this at a young age just from you know growing up and and you know all this the big things that are with this is price ease of accessibility distribution right how easy is it to get really those two and then the third is quality right and that could vary but the two big ones really are price and ease of accessibility right let's say someone's closed you know if somebody's closer and it's five dollars more maybe they'll go to that you know who knows but if you're saying half the price why would i go to a legal store why would i do that like from a consumer standpoint so the illegal market is thriving it's thriving right why wouldn't it be with this kind of environment and so in the short term it hurts the policy makers they're not getting many they're not getting as many tax dollars as they could be because they think oh we're going to overburd we're going to get tons of taxes we're going to have this really high tax rate well actually i think it actually does do that it does the opposite and then it also gets rid of small business gets rid of you know people that really are from this this culture this industry and don't have a ton of money are trying to make their way it also gets rid of competition and no we want competition right isn't this supposedly a capitalist system nowadays this stuff you know the system people say oh we live in a capitalist system now we kind of don't really though we kind of live in a plutocracy where you know big business gets bailed out small business gets crushed what happened to competition right what happened to when a company fails they go out of business well that actually applies to small businesses but when we're talking about big corporations no they get bailed out so i guess we're in a corporate socialist system really in my opinion now let's stay on point here i'm sorry i kind of go all over the place as you guys can tell um okay so the kane county sheriff let's get back to the article king county sheriff ron hayne said that when dispense spencer's first opened following illinois legalization 2016 there were lines around the block and that's kind of the hype around it initially like oh like legal legal flower like let's go you know i wanted you know the first experience going to the stores you know it's cool so but that happens in every state lines around the block initially and then people start to realize you know after the third fourth fifth hour how many times they go there they're like bro i'm buying a 70 60 50 40 8 35 for where i'm from it says it's pretty expensive i mean you know but anywhere from 40 to 80 dollar eighth 3.5 grams right why am i doing that i could go get i could go get you know depends where you are obviously regionally but either i go get a half for you know less than that i go get a quarter for less than that so you know we gotta think about the consumer and these policymakers are just greedy and they're just not thinking about the overall picture uh and like i said not anti-attacks at all like really like whatsoever but this specific situation the specific new infant industry or it's an industry in its infant age or infant stage you need to you know be able to adapt and you know give the right conditions to nurture it to a healthy mature boy or girl right if we're personifying it but let's keep going though okay so back to our exo quote but the quick but that quickly faded when customers compared prices right and convenience i didn't even read that i haven't we're now to the point where i haven't read the rest of this article we're gonna go through it together but uh i knew after i saw this this part after after i saw the this right here i was like we're gonna we gotta cover this let's get this guy knows what he's talking about okay so yeah in other words the personal connection you've been buying your flower from for years right so that legal infrastructure is already there so price and accessibility and then quality will come third and maybe some other things as well in the future but really those are the three key tenets of uh distribution right and this is this is the these are the laws of distribution whether it's you know illegal or legal right this is you know i learned that early on it's like you know accessibility is a huge thing too right being able to get to that place or to be able to you know have it dropped off or something you know what i mean that's the key though but you know price price and distribution anyway let's keep going so so listen to you so there's also a disconnect in the chicago criminal justice system with police making bus for flower related crime is while district attorneys have little interest in prosecuting and there is a disconnect there but i i i get it like why let's not that's not you know i don't necessarily agree with that let's not arrest them but because there's there's two things what you're gonna you're gonna keep trying to like that's a continuation of the war on drugs because it's gonna you know oh you're gonna arrest everyone that knows flour illegally in in in the city and then they're going to be forced to go no they're not what are you talking about this is we this is the hydra effect right this is like that's that that is one of the you know if you want to explain the the drug war and in you know two words or you know you could probably in other words the hydra effect meaning it's an endless endless endless war you're never gonna win it ever unless you can compete on the legal side right so i'm glad i'm glad that they're not prosecuting right but you know that's not it's not they need you know they need to work on the legal side they need to you know fix their stuff so let's keep going on this article so that sends a powerful so tom writes so that sends a powerful message to cartels which are still up to their eyebrows in the flower trade don't worry about the law exactly it's going to keep the entire illegal side alive so the chicago chicago area dealers are carrying much more cash as well weapons in order to keep themselves safe police fear robberies associated with the trade yeah and there's a time period with that that'll always happen you know it still happens depends obviously what area what region you're in you know but right when you know your market legalized there'll be there'll be some robberies it depends really but um okay now let's get to this part though i want to talk about i want to skip let's get a little this video is getting a little long i want to make my points though so let's get to new york though so tom writes so take it with a grain of salt when new york lawmakers come and tell you that not only will legalflower will help solve our financial problems but will also take a bite out of crime it's a myth used to sell the concept of legalized flour to the reluctant i don't really know where that's not necessarily a myth it's just how they respond to it that's anyway i don't know about that specific point yeah a grain of salt but that grain of salt could be something you know or as long as they they probably won't do this they probably will mess it up but these it will help not solve all the financial problems but it will be one part of the solution with tax revenue job you know job creation economic stimulus it also will take out of crime but it has to be done the right way it's and it's going to be done right the right way eventually it's just a whether it's just you know whether they're going to do it early on or they're going to have to just learn from their mistakes later on you know that's really what it is so it's not really a myth i don't i disagree with that that's not necessarily true but in this sense if they mess it up kind of isn't it yeah so yeah anyway let's keep going so states have made other missteps in legalizing flowers as well they've put onerous rules and regulations on those who want to grow flower or sell it trying up entrepreneurs and spider webs of red tape that's very true sounds familiar it's the same lament you hear from restaurant owners and other small business business people here the state would rather have more robust regulatory environment than a burgeoning business climate go figure okay and then he has a bunch of questions that are yeah and then that's not regarding this argument okay anyway that's probably what will happen i mean like you know there's some parts of the end i disagreed with with um mr what's his name again tom robleski but the main core of his opinion piece is true it is 100 true this is probably what's going to happen in new york and new york already is pretty corrupt when it comes to this like there's only 10 medical flower licenses right and they're all nine out of 10 of them are to big business like it's already really corrupt right but they're gonna it's gonna be a combination of this right the big big business won't even have to do it they're the politicians will do it on their own they're gonna regulate the hell out of it which is you know you want to yeah you want to have regulations there that's the that's why that's one of the benefits of a legal system but the taxes are going to be crazy and they're going to create you know a and there's going to be probably a limit on licenses which is that's where the corruption really comes in is the limiting of licensing business or you know distribution you know licensing so that only a certain amount of people can you know legally right but if there are you know whoever is in charge of this in new york if you ever see that you know whoever anybody that's involved with that situation sees this video i really recommend you guys look around at other markets and don't let these policymakers these these lawmakers be greedy initially and think about small business think about you know these people that you know have dedicated their life to this to this industry this this culture this uh this plant think about them think about how you can help them build up right small business creates like anywhere from like 90 85 to 90 of new jobs in the us every year it's not big business small business um and you know i really i really just got to say like i most likely i'm very like there's a really good chance i'm not going to put a percentage on it or you know say exactly but there's a really good chance they're going to mess this up over tax it they're going to kill small business when it comes to this industry you know big business will survive through it because they have the money to do it right the illegal market will still be booming for you know years um but you know now not to give to you know and there's this whole quote right this is the kind of i'll leave this with i'll leave this with you guys um what is it right a smart man learns from his mistakes right smart man learns from learns from his mistakes and that's probably what's going to happen here not calling you know these policy makers in new york smart necessarily but they'll probably have to learn by their mistakes right but a wise man or woman learns from the mistakes of others right smart man learns from those mistakes a wise man or woman whatever learns from the mistakes of others look at other states and then and really i think they need to really evaluate what are their values like what do they want to really get done in this industry in new york do they want to help small business do they want home grow right that's another big thing that's not we didn't talk about here but do they want homegirl that's a big thing they probably won't just knowing new york's politics and what's going on there like what are their values do they want big business to flourish because if they do well overregulate and kill all the small businesses that's what will happen right but anyways like i said guys smart a smart person learns from their mistakes a wise person learns the mistakes of others and you know speaking from you know for myself it's you know i've just told a lot a lot of good advice when i was younger didn't listen to it learn from my mistakes you know i'm somewhat smart for that but if i'd listen to those other people you know i'm probably being doing a lot better in certain ways right i think a lot of people can say that but hindsight is 20 20. i'm gonna strive to be wise here i'm trying to learn from other people's mistakes anyways guys really appreciate y'all if you guys like this video definitely hit the subscribe button hit the notification bell if you're new to the channel hit the like button share this send this to you know any you know regulators new york if anybody's you know you know anybody that would be involved with that um i think that this is a message that should get to people i'm sure there's there's plenty of people telling them this um but you know maybe they don't want to hear it because they're favoring big business or maybe they're just greedy who knows hopefully though they don't mess up new york flower legalization anyways really really appreciate y'all please drop a comment down below let me know you guys think would love to hear your opinion on this especially if you're from new york or new jersey or anywhere really i'd love to hear your opinion on this um yeah guys share this like comment subscribe check out my other videos follow me on the social medias go follow my other uh youtube channels anyways my name is lmc really How do you make a document that has an electronic signature?

How do you make this information that was not in a digital format a computer-readable document for the user? " "So the question is not only how can you get to an individual from an individual, but how can you get to an individual with a group of individuals. How do you get from one location and say let's go to this location and say let's go to that location. How do you get from, you know, some of the more traditional forms of information that you are used to seeing in a document or other forms. The ability to do that in a digital medium has been a huge challenge. I think we've done it, but there's some work that we have to do on the security side of that. And of course, there's the question of how do you protect it from being read by people that you're not intending to be able to actually read it? " When asked to describe what he means by a "user-centric" approach to security, Bensley responds that "you're still in a situation where you are still talking about a lot of the security that is done by individuals, but we've done a very good job of making it a user-centric process. You're not going to be able to create a document or something on your own that you can give to an individual. You can't just open and copy over and then give it to somebody else. You still have to do the work of the document being created in the first place and the work of the document being delivered in a secure manner."

You need legal advice before you sign a contract to allow for your child's access to your property or your children's education. You and your child will always be in the picture – you cannot contract out of your responsibilities as parent Your child cannot be contractually 'purchased' and the law protects the rights of a parent to decide the level of care your child will get. In addition, there are limits to the power of a solicitor or company to make a contract. For example, a solicitor or firm acting on your behalf may not act as a 'legal agent' to make a legal contract with you. A legal agent is an intermediary who makes a contract between a solicitor and client by agreement. The law says this is a private contract, which makes it hard to use a solicitor as a 'legal agent'. For example, if you hire a solicitor as your financial adviser, the law says this is a private firm not a public body, as the law is there for your protection. There are some exceptions to this. The law says a legal agent can legally make legal contracts with their client You can take legal help to protect your children's rights If you're concerned about whether your child is being treated unfairly, you should call us immediately on 0300 123 1100, email children@ or write to us using the forms on the Contact page.
